    LeafFilter Gutter Protection
First of all I felt like I was forced into the contract. The sales representative didn't seem understand that my wife and I needed to discuss weather we could afford the $5,000 quote that he gave us. Come the day of the intall they showed up late and did not have all the materials to complete the job I requested and had to leave. When they returned, they informed me that they would have to reschedule because of ice build up from the storm the other day. on the rescheduled day the called again to inform me that they were going to be late AGAIN THEN NEVER SHOWED UP. the following day they called to reschedule for the following monday. It is now Wednesday and they never showed up or called to reschedule so I am canceling the service. I WILL NOT pay $5,000 for just gutter guards (nomatter how good their product is) for my house only when I can go to their competitors and get gutter guards and new gutters for both my house and garage for about half the price and better customer service too.

    IRISH ROOFING
I needed repair work done on the roof originally installed by Irish Roofing. They came to inspect but did not follow up on multiple phone calls or emails, not even to inform me that they did not want to correct the situation. I consider this unprofessional.

After getting burned on the re-roof of our last house, I was very concerned and took several quotes. Roger (the owner) gave me a quote that was better than other lower rated contractors. He said that he was low on work and wanted to keep his guys busy and our timeline fit a gap in his. I was VERY pleased with the job and the price.

Wigg Brothers C & E Construction Of Sheboygan
tHad to call a number of times to get an estimate.   Once we received the estimate it took weeks to get a person out to do the work.  The guy actually showed up on a Sunday due to his backlog of work.   He did the small repairs that were requested and it took about an hour to finish.   From what I can see from the ground it appears that the repairs were good work.  The person that showed up was nice enough and did not create any issues while on the roof.
Difficult to get an estimate and took several tries to actually get the work done but overall am satisfied with the work that was received.

    Gibbs Home Improvements
I submitted a quote request via their company website.  The owner called within a day or two and provided me with a preliminary price, and then followed up with an actual quote after he came to measure and look at the house.  Initial conversation was very informative and inviting.   They were willing to work with me on which shingles I wanted and was very knowledgeable.  Offered higher quality shingles that were in the same price range.  FYI: My house is 1,100 sq ft, with attached garage (350 sq ft)  and hip roofs.
On the day of re-roofing, they called in the morning and started work a couple hours later.  They were done stripping by noon, and even with the short November days, they were almost done with shingling by dark.  I was very impressed.  They brought their own trailer to haul materials.  The workers were all nice and polite.  They helped me determine where the skylights should go based on the roof dimensions.
The roof was finished up the next morning and it is hard to tell they were there. They cleaned up everything.
Another plus if you ask me is that they did not remove my gutter guards.  It might seem trivial to some people but I am not a big fan of being on a ladder and the fact that I do not have to go back up there to replace them all is a huge bonus in my book.
I would definitely recommend Gibbs to anyone looking for an affordable home improvement option.  I look forward to working with them in the future.

We hired a roofing company that did a terrible job on our trim work , Bob was called in to clean up their mess and correct and redo the  trim. We could tell right away that Bob was different then the other men on this job. He worked very hard and when above and beyond what was asked of him. We are so pleased that he has his own company.

    Schroeder Brothers Home Improvements
When Brooke came for the first time she was so pleasant from the start. Once we decided to go with Schroeder Brothers she came with great information and samples, explained everything from the start to the finish.
We were undecided with colors and she walked us through with suggestions and thoughts and our final decision is awesome.
We have complements from people just walking by to friends and family. From the first day they arrived Jamie asked if we were excited, they started immediately Asked if we had any questions before starting and asked questions along the way. Very friendly and respectful through the whole process, and cleaned up after themselves every night they left.
Kurt answered questions that I was not sure about to help me understand what was taking place.
Such a wonderful experience and made new friends along the way!
    Thanks Schroeder Brothers!

It went very well. Roofers arrived promptly. Some delays due to rain. The house has very little space on either side. This required interactions with our neighbors on both sides which the roofer handled

C&R Siding Windows & Roofing LLC
I called and asked for an estimate on my roof (their website had a form to fill out but I only found out later that it was broken).  I made an appointment for a few days later and the owner of the company (Rainmund) came out and walked the roof and took measurements and such.  Most companies did not require an appointment and just showed up within a day or two.  He left and then called a few days later saying that the estimate was ready and he scheduled an appointment to come out and go over it with me.  Most people just e-mailed me an attachment so I thought it was a nice touch.
When he arrived we went over the estimate on the hood of his vehicle.  I had to that point received 4 estimates for my roof so I had a good idea of what it entailed.  The estimate came out second from most expensive however Rainmund stressed that he used the GAF roofing system, and that it would be built to last.  Essentially the underlayment was a membrane and the shingles had a 50 year warranty and such.  Also the roof of the house butts up against the second floor and he had the best plan to re-do the flashing there involving tearing off the siding and starting fresh.  I decided to go with him on the spot due to his professionalism and the quality he was selling me.
I asked how much money down.  Two of the other roofers previously wanted no money down, two wanted 25%, Rainmund wanted 100% down!  Incredulous and immediately put-off I offered $1000 down and he accepted but said that I needed to have a check ready for the balance.  Then he left.
The days turned to weeks and I heard nothing back.  I tried to call the office but no one answered three times.  I left messages but no one called back.  On the fourth try I got Rainmund himself and he was in a major hurry.  He said that these things take time, I told him it had been 4 weeks but he hardly seemed to believe me.  He went to my paperwork and seemed shocked that so much time had passed.  He said they would call me once my shingles came in.
A few days later the secretary called and said they would start work the following Tuesday.  Tuesday came, Tuesday went.  Thursday the shingles were dropped off without any fanfare.  Friday, nothing.... The following Monday without contacting me people started showing up.  Thankfully I was working a split second shift that week.  They got there at 10 am and started hanging tarps and I showed them where they could plug in tools.  Mike was the man in charge and he seemed to have things under control.  Within 20 minutes he was gone to a different job site leaving a man whose name started with an S in charge.  Mr.S as I will call him was the most skilled worker there and after talking to him I was glad he was in charge.  He's been doing this for over a decade and he was a perfectionist.  I left for work glad things were finally moving along.
I got home at 7 PM and they were still working.  I went inside and they kept working, 8 o'clock, 9 o'clock.  Finally I went outside as it was nearly dark and they were wrapping up.  The siding was off the house but Mr. S had made them stay till the roof was done.  The workers were not happy about it and were actively complaining as I went outside.  The people on the ground hardly swept and left a number of nails that I found later.  Mr. S however was proud of the roof and it showed, it looked great in the fading light.  Then he noticed a shiner.  A nail that was below the shingle line.  He cursed and cut off a shingle tab to nail over it but when he lifted the shingle he found that the shingle was missing nails and had NOT been nailed in place right.  A few others in the neighborhood were likewise not installed correctly.  He quickly fixed them muttering about people not caring about the quality of their work and obviously not concerned that I was there.  I asked if any more were like that and he said he would double-check the next day when they did the siding.  He also pointed out to me there was no boot around the electrical mast, just some silicone caulk.  He said he would bring a boot the next day.  They were out of there by 10 PM that night.  Before they left I asked if they had any extra shingles I could have for repairs.  Mr. S told me that of course I could have them since I paid for them but they disappeared somewhere.
The next day Mr. S showed up again with one helper about 9 AM.  I was glad that he was back.  Immediately they started getting to work.  I walked up to the roof with them and pointed out a few more shiners that I found and he put silicone caulk over them.  He also groaned when he realized he didn't bring a boot with him for the electrical.  He said he would try to get one that day.
That night when I got home about 3/4 of the siding was done.  There was no more siding around so I figured they ran out of materials.  My wife was home but they didn't mention anything to her.  So I waited a few days and didn't hear anything.  I tried to call the office a few times but no one answered or called back.  Eventually one of my calls got through and they said they were waiting on materials (which I figured but was happy to have confirmed).  About a week later people showed up while I was at work, finished off the siding and left.
I gave it a few weeks, didn't hear anything from the company.  Then I started calling them, could never contact them.  Then one day I have a voice mail from a woman sounding upset, she said I owe them money and my roof is done and I need to pay up.  You would think this would make contacting them easy.  No.  Days of phone-tag ensued.  Along the way I mentioned the boot on my electrical mast needing to be installed.  One of the voice mails said this was not necessary and they were done with work.  I contacted GAF, the company that makes the roofing system they installed with just a picture and asked if that was the right way to do things.  I knew it wasn't and they said it wasn't and that it needed to be fixed because that was where the roof would fail.
FINALLY Rainmund comes out himself to collect the money but before I give it to him I drag him up on the roof and show him my electrical.  He was suprised I didn't have a boot.  I told him I was too and that one of his workers said I didn't need one, "Of course you need one."  He told me and then said he would get someone out right away to fix that.  I gave him the check for the remainder.
At least 10 phone calls and one letter later I still do not have my boot.  No one has called me back and it's been over a month said I paid Rainmund and probably 2 months since the roofing job.  I hired this company because it seemed professional but no, it's not.  It may be one of the largest roofing companies in the Sheboygan county area but when it comes to individual home owners, we don't deserve things like customer service, or even the ability to contact the company during regular business hours.  The roof is hopefully installed correctly except for the boot (which I now need to install myself) but the lack of professionalism, it's unbelievable.

    MULLENS SIDING & ROOFING
They were very professional and from start tp finish it took 3 days. There were a few minor things that needed to
be addressed and they were taken care of immediately.  Overall we were very happy with the job and Tom Mullens
was very easy to work with and always came around to check on the job.
