  • Repairman said he fixed the dryer. The next day when I turned it on the whole dryer got so hot the metal of the appliance was too hot to touch. I had to turn the circuit breaker off because we could not get in the room it was so hot.

  • We found it to be too expensive to repair, therefore used service credit to purchase a new washer & dryer. Jason is a very good service repairman, however the repair price was too expensive. The sales associate at the store was extremely honest & gave us a very good explanation of the features of each pair that we were interested in. Bill B. helped us to purchase the pair which met our needs. He also went back into stock to tag our machines & retrieve serial/model numbers to enable us to receive the rebate which was expiring that particular day. We had purchased a new dishwasher a few years prior, & we were impressed with Bill B.'s salesmanship at that time, which is why we returned to make this purchase.

  • It was pretty bad. When I called, I actually told them that it was the commercial dryer that was having the issue, which was the coin operated Speed Queen, was the company name. Even though I mentioned that, they sent me a residential technician. The residential technician came around and told me that it doesn't have enough power coming in. It kind of felt odd that the power was not coming in because it had been working just fine for the last five years, without any changes to the power. But regardless, I actually paid them cash, $82 or whatever it was, the service fee. I called the electrician, the electrician came out, looked at it and gave me a $110 bill and said, "No, everything is fine, the power is coming in just fine to the dryer." I called Sears again and they have been yet to make an appointment to send a commercial technician out, to fix the issue. Not only that, even though I actually made a payment, they are still trying to collect the money of $82 from me, for the service that they didn't even do correctly. They sent me to the collection department after three notices. Every time I received a notice, I called them and told me them that it had already been paid for. Now, it's still in the collections. I don't know what's going on, but it has been a bad bad experience with Sears Appliances. If they were listening, they would have sent the right tech, to begin with. I didn't mind paying for the service call, but they didn't even send the right tech. So right there, they goofed up, they screwed up right there and then everything after that, just went downhill. The person who actually collected the payment at the time of the service call should have actually sent the correct paperwork to the company stating that, "Yes, the payment has been made and collected and this is the result of the service call." They didn't do any of that. Definitely, I want them to fix this particular issue, but beyond this, no, I'm never going to call Sears Appliances again. I called four different times, after this happened, to the service department. It's weird because they keep on changing department to department to department. They keep on moving you from one to the other and each one of them takes 15 to 20 minutes, to even talk to somebody and they say, "Oh yeah, this is not the right department. Oh yeah, this is not the right department," and finally, when you actually talked to the right department they said, "Yeah, you actually have to take care of the outstanding balance first, then and then only, we will actually schedule an appointment for the commercial technician to come out."

  • Absolutely TERRIBLE!!!!  We purchased a Frigidaire Professional Series dishwasher in 2008 from Bitter Neumann.  Up until this recent service, we have had it fixed already 2-3 times before.  This time we noticed water leaking into our basement through the floor & noticed the hardwood floor in the kitchen warping & popping up, but there was never water on the kitchen floor.  When the service technician originally came over, he could not initially diagnose the problem and told us it wasn't the dishwasher & must be our sink (even though it wasn't wet under the sink).  I showed him the damage & where it was leaking (only while the dishwasher was running) & made him investigate further.  He finally found what he claimed was a "small leak."  He then told us he had to order a part & would call us when it came in. he said it would be approximately $225 to fix the problem (the price is almost 1/3 of what we paid for the thing). I received a call the next week saying the part was in & scheduled the repair for Wednesday, a tech was supposed to call me that evening to let me know what time he would be there on Wed. - no one ever called, I was home all day Wed. & no one ever showed up either.  I called & they rescheduled it for Friday of that week for someone to be there from 2-5 - no one ever showed up again.  I called again expressing my concern & the service manager, who also identified himself as the owner, said the best he could do was reschedule it for Monday.  The same guy came on Monday with the new part & realized that the part he ordered was not necessary because the old one was not broken.  He claimed the reason he couldn't properly diagnose it was because it was installed incorrectly in the first place & there wasn't enough electrical line & water line to pull it out while running so he could see the problem.  Now a different new part had to be ordered that should actually fix the problem this time.  Today I called to find out if the part was in & what time they were coming to install it (tomorrow is Thanksgiving & I have 30 people coming over).  The service manager/owner informed me the part wasn't in yet, UPS comes mid to late morning (part should be delivered) & there was nothing he could do about it.  When I explained to him the problem with the install & misdiagnosing the problem, he said there was nothing he could do about it.  He said "if we get around to it, we'll come & fix it."  I suggested they remove the old dishwasher & replace it since we've had so many problems - he didn't agree with this option.  The customer service offered was terrible - he clearly didn't care about the inconvenience that was caused by their incompetence. The attitude simply was the sale was made, now what are you going to do about it?  He offered to "sell" me a new dishwasher...as if I would ever purchase anything there again...  I should also mention that at the same time we purchased this dishwasher we also purchased a custom order matching refrigerator which we also have problems with because the door was put on crooked when it was installed, so it doesn't seal properly.  When the tech was here the second time to fix the dishwasher, he tried to fix the refrigerator, but couldn't because it was installed incorrectly.  So not only their customer service is terrible, they don't stand behind their products & their service & installation techs are completely incompetent.  On top of all of that, they don't care...once they have your money the deal is done...

  • I was pleased to be able to get an appointment  the following day after calling.  Mike promptly diagnosed and fixed the source of my issue.  He was careful to explain the cause and demonstrated what I could do to prevent future issues.   I have had no issues since his repair and would not hesitate to use his services in the future.
