Carpet Cleaning reviews in Sauk City

    Crown Flooring and Floorcare Services
Crown flooring brought in huge fans to dry everything. They were able to eliminate the odor, and brighten the carpet. My carpet is now again bright and beautiful. Aaron did the first two cleanings. Another gentleman named Steven came out a third time to clean the carpet on my stairs, free of charge! I was very impressed with their professionalism, and I would consider using them again.

    Carpet Clinic
He came to clean and deodorize my carpets.  I asked if his cleaner was in good service, he assured me it was.  He cleaned the rooms and sprayed air freshener in the air, which I could have done.  I know what he sprayed, it's an animal deodorizer that vet's offices use.  I went back to my duplex and it smelled like cat pee, and there were no cats in the apartment before that.  We had to take up the carpet in the corner and the padding below was drenched, you could literally wring it out.  Everything was completely ruined in the lower third bedroom.  We have to pull up the carpets in that room and we have to replace the carpet and the padding.  The upstairs had a residue and still had the same odor as before he cleaned it, and it was still damp after 4 days.  I was told his machine must have malfunctioned.  I went back 7 days later and it was still damp and smelled outrageously bad in the lower unit, that was the day we tore it out.  I'm gonna have to pay for someone to replace and install carpet in the downstairs and to re-sanitize and re-deodorize the upstairs at my own expense, which will be $246.89.  The installation for the new carpet and padding will be approximately $500, also at my own expense.

    UPDATE 12/3/11
I had Erin Washa of Crown Flooring come back to sanitize and deodorize.  They also recleaned on 6/29/11.  He came in inspected the carpet and it was so wet that he could literally ring out the carpet pad in the lower bedroom.  He moisture meter tested the rest of the carpet and found it was off the scale for wetness.  When I asked him what the extreme smell of cat urine could be, he said that the smell was the deterioration of the carpet pad since it had been wet.  He said that the carpet was unsalvageable because of the pad.  He had to tear all the carpet out.  I had to clean the floor with Clorox bleach and then paint the concrete floor with shellack product that is very expensive.  I had to get a new pad and carpet that was approximately $700.  Crown Flooring had to then reclean the whole upstairs of the house.  He said that the upstairs was oversaturated too.  It wasn't so bad that I would have to replace it though.  He ended up having to come back 3 times and did not charge me for the following visits to get the smell out.  Carpet Clinic had left a residue that Crown Flooring had to clean 3 times to get it out.  The carpet was only 5 years old and it came back looking new again after they fixed it.

The response of Carpet Clinic was not true.  I did have fans and the A/C going for 7 days straight.  He said that he wanted to come back.  I did not want him to come back on my property with a defective carpet cleaner.  I decided to then hire Crown Flooring that has a higher class machine.  They test their equipment often to make sure it is functioning properly.  I think that I know what I am talking about since I have been a commercial property manager for 15 years and a property owner for 28 years.
