I had my 2011 F150 in for oil change, 4 tires and rear rotors and pads 2 weeks ago, mechanic inspection said front brakes were passing, drove it and still have heavy pulsing in steering wheel when braking. So much for your inspection and obviously no test drive to see if you fixed the problem. Made an appointment for 8 days later for front rotors and pads. Got there at agreed upon time and went to run errands, came back 2 and 1/4 hours later and my truck hadn't moved from where i parked it. Service advisor never called me, had several excuses, he didnt know what work he was doing, even though i had purchased my own rotors and pads and told him they were in the bed of my truck and watched him right it down on paper. Then said he didn't know I was waiting for the repairs and thought he had all day to do it. Very poor communication skills, why have an appointment if they don't honor it. No apologies, and when Dave Rowe said "we'll see you next time" i said " no I won't be back", he said "oh". Two of the brake pads removed were crumbling with 50% of the pads missing and in the red using their measuring tool on one end of pad, other end was in yellow yet their inspection said passing. Dont put your life in Link Fords hands, you might not be able to stop when you hit the brakes.

After deciding the cost of repair was too much and the car was not worth saving, an employee offered to scrap it for me and gave me several hundred dollars for the scrap value.  This more than paid for the bill and saved me the trouble of hauling it to a scrapyard myself.

    Ricci's Tire
Ricci's employees stayed late on a Friday night to fix a flat tire for my convenience.  They could have tried to sell me a new one instead but they are honest and told me it could be fixed more cheaply.  They did a good job and the tire is still holding air 6 weeks later!

I am happy to have mechanics I trust not to run up charges unnecessarily. They are honest, hardworking, and skilled at many repairs. If they do not do a certain repair, they will recommend a local business that does.

I went there to trade in my old truck for a new one. I went online and did research on what I wanted in a truck. The actual trade in value of my current truck and cost for a new truck. I got there and they took my truck which is a manual and it was obvious they couldn't drive it. Then they tell me that they would offer a couple hundred as trade in which was way under. Then I told them what I wanted and insisted I didn't need it. When I questioned why the truck wasn't valued right and why I had to pay so much for another vehicle I heard excuses. So I just got my keys and left. Never again.

I had an oil change and coolant flush in my truck. I drove it for a couple days and noticed a leak of coolant. So I brought it back. They not only diagnosed the issue and fixed it but noticed other repairs needed soon and offered to fix those as well. Very pleased.

    F & F AUTOMOTIVE Service Inc.
The service was completed within the expected time, and the final cost was about 15% less than originally quoted. As always, Amanda at the front desk was friendly, polite, knowledgeable, and proactive in offering advice about further services, but not pushy. We love Fand F.

My most recent repair at Fand F was a replacement of a belt for my power steer. They diagnosed the problem quickly and also commented on an oil leak in the block and a burned out tail light...they looked over the whole car just to be thorough. The belt was replaced and they put some die in the oil to check the leak. The bulb was replaced at a very reasonable rate. Driving out of the parking lot in the cold, I had power steering immediately. Nice and cheap quick fix.

The results of the die test were to come back the next day, upon driving the vehicle for a bit. Luckily, it proved to be a very minor leak. In retrospect, I realized that they had check the engine leak a year or so ago with the same result. After moving back to Rice Lake with about 6 oil changes from out of state shops, the block had probably accumulated enough oil to warrant inspection.

They gave consistent and honest feedback. I'd never questioned Fand F's recommendations before and this only reaffirms my opinion of their honesty, integrity and hard work.

Thanks again Amanda, Fred and Jerry!
