    Mark Wilkinson Appliance Repair
Mark adjusted his schedule to accommodate me. Arrived and confirmed problem, carefully removed defective valve and installed new valve I purchased. He was meticulous and careful to not damage our floors. He called the next day to confirm the stove was working properly. He also diagnosed the oven ignition was not up to specs but was not at point to replace.

    Sears Appliance Repair
Stove fixed to our satisfaction. Furnace (covered under home warranty) went way better than expected. I must admit I was leary about 50.00/ mo charge for warranty, but they really came through. They decided our current furnace in danger of carbon monoxide issues, so replaced furnace for installation charge of 250.00. Couldn't be happier!

    Appliance Guy
Called on a Monday and the oven burner was fixed by Wednesday afternoon. Very happy with the prompt service. Rob is a very nice person, enjoyable to deal with. I cook often and the dead burner was quite inconvenient. So glad it was fixed quickly

Elitech Television and Appliance Repair made the repair of my LG clothes washer simple and painless. I would call them again for large appliance repair. Patrick in the office listened to my description of the problem and said he would order the part that it seemed to call for before sending anyone out. I appreciated talking to a person rather than a machine, and having that person make a decision rather than simply take a message.
The part came in quickly, Patrick called back to set up a day and time close to that day. Gary arrived early in the time window, carrying a part which was the one needed. He said that the part was know to fail under some load conditions and that he was installing  an LG issued upgrade rather than just replacing the part. On request, he suggested some loading practices for less balance problems. He worked smoothly and quickly. He replaced the computer component, re-calibrated the systems, made sure the machine was level and working properly and cleared the area. He was also able to be pleasant while working just a few yards from my own work space.
I am in Mount Pleasant and try to find a local service for repairs but Elitech was one of only three services the manufactured had listed as authorized and the one that Home Depot had on its Protection Plan list. It was good to find at service at a distance that did not object to the travel time.
    Elitech is at, 414-397-5319
The repair came under a Home Depot Protection Plan and was set up by Home Deport so I cannot speak to the cost, but I would say they would deliver value.

    Mr. Appliance of Milwaukee
Josh knew exactly what the problem was, explained what he would do to fix the refrigerator, and quickly took care of the problem. He was conscientious in keeping everything neat (no spilled water). He also took time to speak with my neighbor who was looking for someone who could repair a refrigeratorr for his son. I definitely would use Mr. Appliance again. Josh was friendly and professional.

We purchased a service coupon for $99 on 4/16/15. We contacted the provider immediately via Angie's List  with a list of available days and times. He responded a day after the purchase asking for a phone number. We responded 2 days later with our phone numer . There was no meaningful contact that led to action although there were repeated requests to describe the problem over the phone as well as repeated suggestions that it was a recall issue (which it was not the correct model for the electrical recall). After no action for over 4 months, we contacted Angie's List's customer service to cancel the contract and move on to another provider. They asked if we would be willing to let them contact the provider to see if they could nudge him into making contact. We agreed. The provider responded the same day to set up an appointment in several weeks. Over the course of the work, multiple appointments were made and rescheduled, most often for personal issues on his part, and once saying the part had not been delivered yet.
The provider ended up making 3 trips. The first was for diagnosis, the second several weeks later and rescheduled several times to repair the water line and attempt to replace the motherboard (he said he was given the wrong part), and several weeks later again finally for replacing the motherboard with the right part.
We scored him a D for price for charging us for the extra trip in spite of the wrong motherboard not being our problem; an N/A for quality because the repairs were just finished today so we don't know the length of time the repairs will last; an F for responsiveness because he simply wasn't responsive; a D for punctuality because of the multiple reschedules (although when he kept the appointment, he was close to the time frame given); and an F for professionalism because he kept using his personal situations (admittedly difficult for him emotionally) as reasons for not contacting us or rescheduling on relatively short notice.
Someone a lot smarter than I once told me, "The process is more important than the product." Steve's product ultimately meant a repaired refrigerator, but the process of getting there in 6 months was painful. I'm glad to see that he has a majority of happy customers. Unfortunately,  I'm not one of them. I wish him well in both his business and personal life, but I won't be contacting him again.

    Building Waters
The technician arrived on time and, since it was a rainy day, removed his boots as to not track mud into the house. He then proceeded to disconnect the old gas line and install a new gas line to a newly purchased gas stove. He then hooked up the stove, tested for any gas leaks, and finally installed the stove back into position. He then cleaned up after himself before leaving.
I then asked him about another plumbing job we have in mind (replacing a corner shower stall in bathroom).  He looked at the site and gave us his recommendations as to best handle the situation.  Based on our experience with Building Waters, we will definitely be calling them again for future projects.

The provider was part of the Big Deal program.  It took about 2 weeks to get him scheduled to come out.  I found it easier to text than email or phone to set up.  On site, he was great.  He assessed the dryer's problem and replaced the belt quickly.  Very good.

I recommended Appliance Tech-Care to a friend who immediately expressed displeasure. It has taken a little time for us to write this, sorry. On the first visit they gave a 4 hour window, and then showed up 10 minutes late to that, and immediately said, oh right on time. He had only been waiting 4 hours. They did some procedure with the brains of the machine and got it running. It took 10 minutes and cost $109. The assistant began lecturing my friend about the quality of his detergent. At one point it looked as if the assistant was going to remove the dish washing liquid; labeling it junk. They were gone about a half an hour and the dish washer was broken again. They returned and this time did an accurate diagnosis. They returned the following day with the correct part, but made no mention that there had already been a service call. However, there was no new service charge. The main repair man asked several questions which I believe were designed to determine if my friend was on Angie's, etc. That labor cost was $56.00, bringing labor and service to over $160. for about 40 minutes work. I believe that the entire $446 would have gone a long ways toward a new machine. These service men need to rethink their attitude toward customers. Some of the grades above could have been lower. Thank you.

    A-1 Appliances
I called A-1 for service on my dryer because it was not heating. Because it was a Saturday and I was in the middle of laundry, I was in need of immediate service. Even though they had no available appointments and asked if I could wait until Monday, they arrived within the hour of my call after I asked to be serviced that day. They were courteous upon arrival, were very knowledgeable and found the issue very quickly. I had a bad heating element, which they had on their truck and replaced right away. They also gave me a 30-day warranty. I called A-1 because I have done business with them in the past. I bought my fridge and stove from them approximately 4 years ago and they are still working great. They have a large variety of appliances available and most are recent models and in great condition. I initially contacted them based on a friends referral and would definitely recommend to my own friends and family. Great Job!!!
