    Sure-Dry Basement Systems Inc
Sure-Dry made an appointment for service for the second day after I called. Their service tech, Dylan Morin arrived on time after phoning he was on his way. He checked my problem and answered all of my questions and made me feel a whole lot better that my system was functioning properly. He also repositioned the alarm to allevate that problem. He then explained some of my system to me and I learned things about it that I did not know. Thank you again Dylan, you are an asset to Sure-Dry Basement Systems Inc.

Three service installers arrived on time.  In fact they called to say if they can arrive earlier which I was happy they can.    They put down a rug to protect my floor and plastic to protect the stairs going down to the basement (carpet).  They went right into the installation.  They were all very professional and kind.  They were very careful working in our home and cleaned up after they finished.   They then explained to me about the defective pump emergency alarm and the battery it takes.  Also explained how to replace the batteries in two controller boxes.  Now that this job is complete I will have "peace of mind" that my basement will not flood.   I only had one pump before, now I have two electric and one battery backup sump motors. Thanks Sure Dry Basement Inc. and Angie's List.  I recommend them both to everybody.

    ABT Foundation Solutions Inc
Let me start this review by saying that I was a complete doubter when told what we needed to fix our basement problems. I thought there was no way that a 14 year old home could have clogged drain tiles.  We worried that we were being taken advantage of, and worried that our tiles really did not need replacing.  We have a basement below lake level (we live on the water), and had three sumps running continuously forever.  Dry basement for 10 years, slight water issues around the edge three years ago turned into one inch of standing water this summer. It was time for action.
After getting ideas and estimates from companies as far away as Madison, we opted to go with ABT and their remedy.  ABT was highly recommended by our plumber (O?Neill Enterprises), and we respect
this plumber immensely.  Their remedy entailed jack hammering the entire perimeter of our LARGE basement, followed by putting in a new drainage system and pumps and concreting the new edges.  Their estimate comparable to others, however, they offered a LONG, TRANSFERRABLE WARRANTY.  I also checked references, and was pleased at what I heard.  This project was extremely costly and time consuming (see below) ? but IT WORKED.
    PREP:
I would strongly recommend their suggestion to tarp/wrap everything in your basement.  That which could not be covered, we moved out.  We also had our HVAC come in and plastic off every intake and vent for our three furnaces.  All of this was time consuming, but VERY worthwhile.
    DURING:
The crew worked VERY hard and was meticulous about cleaning.  Every night, things were put away nicely in the basement.  As we have basement access through the garage, they did not need access to the house.   The project took six work days, and one bonus visit after completion to fix a battery back up.
    AFTER:
The basement is DRY!  All pumps have battery backups, and a rep did a wonderful walk through with us to show us what we could/could not do with the new system.  NOTE:  Listen to the walkthrough, as some things we would have done would have voided the warranty.  Nothing outrageous, but be sure to listen well.
Again, the crew did an AMAZING job in cleaning. Even a handprint that I noted on the basement door frame was gone when
they left.  All pumps are absolutely silent, they made our old 3 hp pumps seem very outdated.  The system they have engineered seems to work well, our basement is bone dry!!!
    BOTTOM LINE:
There were a few small bumps in the road, but that can be expected with a major home repair.  Nothing that was insurmountable.   If the system remains working as it is, I will be a huge supporter of ABT!  They truly fixed our issue, and our home is back to normal.
I STRONGLY recommend ABT for any basement issues.  5 stars!!!

I have a very old house with no drain tiles. Superior excavated INSIDE the basement, installed drain tiles and a sump pump (which i never had before either.) They put in the appropriate fill and new concrete. While there was a problem with the bottom landing (it was not even and had not been properly poured), the owner responded quickly when I called with my concerns. He took extra time to make sure that everything was perfect, including installing a molding at the base of the walls. I am thrilled to no longer have a stream running through the laundry room every time it rains!

While preparing for some roof repairs, I was informed that the chimney was in an awful state. I hadn't noticed before, but it was visible even from the ground. I contacted AB because they had done some excellent work previously. I also asked them to look at some cracked bricks and mortar on our little adjacent cottage. We think AB did the original brick work on the cottage a few generations ago. I asked a lot of questions, got good advice, and the work was wonderful. Thanks!

I feel it went very well, they had 4 people and the whole job was done in one day.  I will suggest that if someone is thinking of having this done, go to Walmart and get those large plastic tarps for a couple of bucks and put over everything in the basement.  There is a lot of dust that rises out of hammering out the old concreate.  They hauled away all the extra soil, old concreate and whater ever else of supplies they used.  Take up any nice rugs and be sure to ready the basement in the area they will need to work.

Area Waterproofing Business card was at the Building Dept desk at Menards.Called Mark, the owner who lives 3 mi west of us for an appt. Mark came over within 45 min., it was at the end of the day. Received his estimate, and discussed in detail. Compared Mark's estimate with 2 others I had, and talked to my home construction contractor. Mark then offered to show me work he was doing in Neenah. I visited that home with the homeowners there, talked to them about why they needed it done and why they choose Mark. I was then shown another home a couple houses away that  Mark was going to work on next. A few days later after more questions and discussions with others we signed a contract with Mark. They started within the time frame they said. I was home for most of the work. Took them about 2 -3 days and were very professional. did everything that they were supposed to plus added good topsoil to area where hole was, and where equipment was sitting and driving on.

Couple days later, I noticed tiny drip from the inside foundation on a small crack that was not seen before. Two of Mark's employees came over two days later and repaired that crack at no charge.

This basement has been flooding for years, ever since we hooked up to the sewer. Anderson Bros. came out, broke up the concrete floor, dug the pit, installed a plastic liner and tied it into the drainage around the foundation. They put in a submersible sump pump, pvc piping through a thick brick wall, and added some discharge hose outside. They neatly repaired the concrete around the pump, removed all debris and suggested I might need a short extension cord for the pump (it reached, but was stressed). They also explained how I might change the discharge hose, if I wanted to move it. They were nice, efficient and accommodating. Best of all, we have had two or three heavy rains since then, and the pump has worked perfectly each time. What a relief!
