    B & E Tree Service
Bill came in in the spring to assess the job. He explained that, due to danger of oak wilt, the oak limb would need to be removed in the fall. He returned in early November after the leaves had fallen and removed the large limb. This two-man job required one climber and another on the ground. I was pleased with their safety measures; both for the climber and for roping off the sections of limb to bring them down to the ground. In addition they took down one small tree and some other small lower limbs, chipped, and removed all the debris. We were very satisfied with the job done!

Repairs not done yet. NEVER EVER does anyone answer phone. Not once have I had any return a call after leaving a message. Work is not done yet today. They missed the one appointment they had set up and lied about it afterwards. I Wanted to support local business but after this i will look elsewhere.

    Planted, LLC
After getting some quotes from a couple of places a co-worker told me about Planted. Penny came out and listened to what my idea for my backyard was. She showed me options and gave me very, very accurate pricing. Penny's careful planning helped save me some money!! The work was preformed on time and on budget! Impressive work ethic. Amazing results! Planted has earned my trust and my business. I have had her over to work in the front yard as well.

    Les's Tree Service
Two weeks went by, so with no activity I called Les.  He stated that there was a problem with the hydraulics in his lift, but that it should be repaired shortly.  Another two weeks go by with no activity, so I call Les.  He stated that they had been backed up and delayed with the unusually raining summer, but should have the tree down in another week.  Another week passes.  I call Les and left a message.  Did not hear back. Another week, left another message, no return call.

It was becoming apparent that Les' Tree Service was both not only not going to return my call, but not was not going to cut down my tree.

This was annoying for multiple reasons.  When quoting me a price, he certainly could have declined the job; no harm, no fowl.  If something after the point of agreement, he could have called and told me he'd be unable to perform the tree service, in which case I'd move on.  By pushing of the date and then not calling back, Les Tree Service cost me the time necessary to contract a roofer prior to winter.

Needless to say, by my experience I'd rate Les's Tree service as unprofessional and would not recommend this service.

    Les's Tree Service
Overall Les's Tree Service was a great find and value. After I had called, Les came out and gave me a quote to remove the tree and to chip out the stump. At the time the backlog was about three weeks. I had not heard from Les for several weeks after that and checked back in with him and he was waiting to do a couple tree's in the neighborhood. Since I was not in a hurry, that was fine with me but communication could have been just a little bit better. They arrived and cut the entire tree down in a partial day and stacked the wood chunks in a pile, chipping all of the branches and debris. A few days later they stopped by and chipped the stump and also did a great job there and cleaned everything up as well. I would definitely use Les again for any work I have in the future and would highly recommend this service due to the value, professionalism and that he actually calls you back when you leave a message!

    C Wolfe Tree Service LLP
Wolfe trees did a great job "cleaning up" a tree in our front yard. The trim looks great and all branches were cleaned up. Price was competitive. The tree just looks more healthy. Need to get him back for more trimming in the back yard.

    Danckwart Landscaping & Excavating LLC
They did a good job. They were professional. They cleaned up after themselves. They made suggestions and were flexible as far as how to do things. They just did a very thorough job. They were pricey but you get what you pay for.

    Cottage Grove Nursery & Gift
We were very satisfied with the overall job.  I contacted Cottage Grove Nursery some time in July and within a couple of days
Jane (the designer) came out and discussed a new plan.  Our overgrown lilac bush and hostas had become unsightly, so
we wanted something neater and with  low maintenance.  I did mention we would like the work done sometime in Sept.  On
Sept. 10th Mark (the landscaper)  and his assistant began work around 8:00.  They worked all day completing everything except
two of the flagstones which were put in a couple of days later.  They did such a wonderful job, no one would be able to tell
they had dug up old plants and replaced them.  The carmelized rocks we have (which are light) are still clean  and don't
look like they've been disturbed at all.  All old plants were cleaned up and hauled away.  Mark was very friendly and professional
when he came to the door in the morning.  He checked in several times during the day either to let me know they were taking
a quick break or grabbing lunch (never gone very long), he also came to the door to explain what he was doing during
the day.  At the end of the day, he took time to tell me how to care for the plants not only initially, but in the future.  I also, asked
his professional advice on a couple of existing plants and he was very willing to answer my questions.
I did not feel Jane (the designer) tried to sell me more than what I needed.  I was very willing  to buy more plants, but
she felt these 7 new plants would be plenty.  Also, we had been quoted for more rock, but Mark said he was pretty sure
we didn't need it and we didn't.  It all looks great!
We ended up paying about $90 less because we didn't need to add rock, however, it had been included in the estimate in case.
Jane told me the total might be less when the job was done (which it was), but it wouldn't be more.  I appreciated that--no hidden
costs!  We would definitely use Cottage Grove again.  Also, they have a great gift shop.

    Les's Tree Service
Les was recommended to me by another satisfied customer.  Les returned phone calls promptly and communicated information about the job clearly.  The work was done when he said that it would be and he checked back to make sure that we were satisfied with the job.  His charge was $150 per hour.  This included the need for a bucket truck for one tree and a chipper to dispose of tree canopy branches.  In total we had six trees removed, excluding stumps, for $1,500.  I would hire Les again.

    Markgren Landscape Group Inc
I had posted an earlier review about some issues that I had with Markgren Landscape Group. They have since resolved my complaint and I am happy to report my complete satisfaction! After my last experience with them I would hire them in the future and would recommend them to my friends, family and neighbors
