does a great job. He is trustworthy, conscientious and goes above and beyond to give us great service. We had a problem with the previous" company servicing our pool and he came in and corrected the problem without additional charge and also explained exactly what he needed to do to balance the pool chemistry. I recommend him highly!

"I maintain home warranty coverage through Landmark Home Warranty, which includes coverage for my swimming pool. I submitted a claim on the evening of Sunday February" 1, 2015. The pool pump motor failed, among other things. The home warranty company referred the service call to Carefree Solution. I received a phone call from
shortly before 1:00 PM the following day. Ms.
represented that someone would call me by the close of business, and confirm an appointment. The phone call never came. I left a voicemail and e-mail to the company expressing concern about unreasonable delays in fulfilling the service request given the circumstances, and that someone complete the service request the following day. The temperature had been at, near, or below freezing for at least two days, and I was worried that my pipes would burst. The forecast for the remainder of the week also called for similar temperatures. Ms.
e-mailed me the next day, apologizing for the belated response, which was due to the company "running behind" the previous day. Several hours later I receive an e-mail copy of a work order, which had a due date of Monday February 9, 2015. I wrote Ms.
a follow-up e-mail indicating that my understanding of the company's response was that the situation was not urgent and it can wait for a week, but if my understanding was not correct, to have a technician dispatched immediately, to avoid potential liability for unreasonable delays in repair. Ms.
responded that the company is not responsible for any delays in repairs, and if February 9 wasn't "fast enough for [me]" to contact my home warranty provider, and select another provider. I did as Ms.
suggested, and was referred to Pool Care Specialists, who did an excellent job, in a expeditious manner. This business was aware of an urgent situation, and left itself and the customer vulnerable, because of their self-serving business practices. If the company was running behind and not in a position to service my claim, it should have informed the home warranty company and myself that it could not perform the request, that the situation was urgent, and to seek another pool services provider immediately. This would have been the ethical thing to do under the circumstances, and there would be no hard feelings. However, the business was more interested in booking potential business, without consideration of a customer's needs. When it became clear that a customer would hold them liable for delay in service, their true colors showed.

My order of preference - first choice a jacuzzi/hot tub repairman (from a jacuzzi/hot tub/sauna distributor), second choice a plumber (many do not work on hot tubs, jacuzzi's and sauna because they cnanot afford to stock parts). An electrician might be able to fix it if it is a connection problem, but such motors are seldom repaired if the problem is internal, just replaced - which would be a jacuzzi repairman/plumber type job.

You will have to find out what your model costs new - looks like they run from about $400 to 1700 depending on size. IF yours is at the lower end, might be just as cheap to replace it, with parts and labor. If not low end, then repair probably works. Typical pricing of components that might have gone out - switch $80, timer/control unit $130, heating element $100 (probably most likely to have failed) - so if only one of these went out, figuring $100-200 labor, probably cheaper to fix it. I would contact your dealer for a better idea.

BTW - here is a Saunatec instruction on maintenance on the heating element and rocks, failure to follow can shorten heating element life, if that is what went out (and probably the simplest to replace) -

I'm sorry to say there aren't many of us on here with adequate experience working on pools, myself included.  My suggestion would be to contact a few local companies specializing in pool renovation and have them give their recommendations and bids for the work, breaking down order of operations so you know what to expect at which stages.  Check Angie's List for referrals in your area and cross check those with the BBB for any unresolved complaints.

Pool Cleaning reviews in Okauchee

I submitted a claim for the above service through Landmark Home Warranty, and therefore the cost of the service was limited to the cost of the service call.
I had originally submitted the claim on the evening of Sunday February 1, 2015. Landmark Home Warranty had initially referred the claim to Carefree Solutions (which does business online under www.cfpools.com). Carefree Solutions was unable to commit to a specific date and time, other than the work order was due on February 9, 2015. I had several back forth communications by phone and e-mail with Carefree about performing the service earlier, because of the freezing weather, and the potential for pipes bursting. Carefree's response was they were very busy, and that they were not responsible for any delays in repair. I contacted Landmark Home Warranty on Tuesday February 3, 2015 and told them that my experience with Carefree was unacceptable. Landmark Home Warranty made it right and referred the claim to

. An appointment was scheduled for Thursday February 5, 2015.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
, the owner of the business, arrived at the scheduled time. He was able to replace the pool motor and handle on the initial service call. Mr.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
did not have the parts to repair the band assembly, but promised to call me back the following week. Mr.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
followed through, and took care of the band assembly the following week.
I give Mr.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
credit for being able to do the repair on February 5 given the attendant circumstances. The weather was unforgiving. The temperature was at or near freezing, there was intermittent precipitation, and intermittent wind gusts. The old pool motor blew out the 20 amp circuit breaker, which wasn't discovered until after the installation. Mr.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
suggested I go to my local hard ware store, because he was not able to do it the same day. I replaced the circuit breaker, which only took a few minutes. My pool system was up and running without any problems. Mr.

called me later on in the evening, to confirm whether the pool system was operational. I really appreciated that follow-up even though I didn't ask for it specifically.
I would also note Mr.

is very personable, and knowledgeable about pool equipment. Mr.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
took the time to explain what went wrong, why it went wrong, and what he did to fix the problem. He really cares about customer service and his profession, and it showed in my experience.
If I have any other issues with my pool, I will not hesitate to ask for

Pros: Job performed during specified time period.
Cons: Some of the material was spilled on pool deck. Not as clean/meticulous as we expected for the cost.

I have used
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
for my pool service for almost 10 years. He is thorough, punctual and has kept my pool in top shape throughout that time. On several occasions when the pool has needed remedial service or repair, he has either taken care of it or alerted me to the problem so that I could have it fixed. I am a part-year resident and am completely comfortable leaving the pool in his care. I would strongly recommend his service.

I’ve been using them for the last two years. I like the great service, that they’re very knowledgeable, and that it’s a great value for the quality of the work. I always have the same technician and I trust him. They are excellent and I won’t use anyone else.
- Kimberley W.

They seem unable to ever adequately repair the pump they sold me, as they always require far too much time and expense to get the job done. They asked for four hours and $250 just to replace and lubricate an o-ring. They also seem to have recently developed an "attitude" with their customer service, as they reduced their hours and also put up a sign indicating that they would no longer honor any of their coupons. I also had an issue with a service completed back in May where I paid with a check at the time of service (since they demand it), and was later contacted by their accounting department about how I owed them money. They were very rude in how I was addressed, and when it was mentioned, I was told they "probably didn't charge (me) enough anyway". I will still purchase my cholorine from them, but I don't trust them to do anything else.

The guy was great. He did a great job. He knew what he was doing and he did it when he said he was going to do it. There's no problem at all with him. He came out when he said he was going to come out. I was plain happy with it. I'm scheduled to use him again in the spring when we open the pool.

I called
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
on 17
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to get an estimate on a broken spa heater. They installed the Jandy system about 3 years ago and I thought they'd be the best company to fix the work. I was wrong. I sit here in early March writing this review and have more items broken on my pool and a new motor that I feel I didn't even need but the technician already replaced it without my approval. I didn't want them touching anything else and paid for it just to end any more business with this company forever. I still don't have my heater fixed and the technician told me when he was troubleshooting the wiring that a thinset board got shorted out. I also have a Salt system that is no longer working. Will never do business with this company again. Had no problem with the office staff, but the responsiveness and the communication from the technician was horrible and
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was just an experience I'd like to forget all together.

We just bought a foreclosed home and this is our first pool. The pool and water feature was what sold us on the home. Once we took possession, we received allot of suggestions and opinions about maintainance and care from friends and read many internet postings of pool repair and servicing. There are allot of pool service providers out there and we were nervous to say the least about finding a good and honest pool repair and maintenance person. We feel very blessed to find
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. We contacted
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
after reading so many positive reviews.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
is very responsive, courteous and helpful. We appreciate his attention to detail and going above and beyond to provide us with excellent service and guidance.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
took the time to walk us through our entire system and gave us various options and provided suggestions to best repair and maintain our pool.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's presence was very caring and trustworthy.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
even went onto internet satellite to tell us that it appeared that our pool has been drained and sat empty which is not good for a pebble tec pool. We later found out by our neighbor's that the pool sat partially emptied for over a year with mosquitos issues that they had to call the City to resolve.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
drained the pool, acid wash and gave the pool a chlorine bath.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
discovered cracks in the pool and water feature which he sealed. He replaced the pool light and wiring which were filled with water. He removed an ozonator that was no longer connected to the system. We took his suggestions and had him replace the sand filtration system with a new filtration system that required much less maintainance and higher quality filters. We also had multiple leaks from the pvc valves and pressure gauges that were very worn and hard to read, which he replaced.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
replaced missing in-floor cleaning heads. Basically,
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
overhauled and cleaned our pool to a nice shine and finish. I cannot say enough about the care that
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
gave to our pool and how he took care of us.
Okauchee Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
honored his estimate even though he sealed cracks that were not included in the pool. He provided a pad to sit the filter system and pump on as the existing concrete slab was lower and could damage the pump if the system ever leaked. He added another turn valve for more efficient flow and cleaning. In addition, he gave us a pole, screen and brush to clean the pool. I hope that by saying all this that the next person that is reading this review is not expecting all these extras. Because we did not. All we wanted was honest work from an honest person and would be willing to pay for those services. We got that and am grateful. We are also happy and blessed to have found a new friend. Thank you
