    Shamrock Building Inspection Consultants LLC
Rick was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He inspected a home I'm considering purchasing and was very thorough. The inspection took approx. 3 hours and he went through every nook and cranny of the home. He gave good advice on home maintenance and problem mitigation and made me feel like I was in good hands. Highly recommend Rick and Shamrock if you're in need of an inspector!

    Radon Measurement & Elimination Services
I found this company on Angie's List and contacted Paul for a quote. He came out right away for an estimate and scheduled the appointment for a week or so later. His sons did the work and they were very courteous and efficient, called to let me know they were running 10 minutes behind and did a great job cleaning up after the system was installed, Paul came back on a Sunday to pick up the test and got the results a day later. The entire process was easy and fast and I am extremely happy with the results. I would HIGHLY recommend!

TOWNE & COUNTRY BUILDING INSPECTION INC
Scott was my first inspector for my first home purchase. He was very thorough. Recommended that I get a third-party foundation inspection which thankfully came out clear. For the purchase of my second home, Joy was the inspector. She missed several electrical items in the garage (nothing noted in the report), and since inspectors are not required to peek above drop ceilings due to the chance of damage to the tile or dust falling on flooring, it was not done. The blanket statement "inspect all branch circuits" was added to the report. A "representative sample" of outlets was inspected, which is also allowed by the WAHI Standards of Practice which govern inspectors. The completed report itself was promised the next day, which didn't happen - I had to follow up. With T&C as with all inspectors, be aware of the services that are being performed. They are not required to, nor will they move anything or go out of their way to inspect things that are not immediately visible. In my case, that means maybe $1500 of total electrical work that is required to bring things up to code before I'm able to renovate the basement. If the inspector had moved a tile or two, or if I had been directly encouraged to, the flaws would've been found and could have been negotiated during the purchase process, not months after out of my own pocket. Nothing in my inspection process with Towne and Country was ever deficient according to the WAHI Standards of Practice. The blanket warning statement to have an electrician inspect all branch circuits could have been sufficient if I had heeded the warning - I take responsibility for not following up. However, T&C could've gone "above and beyond" to move a tile or alert me to the high possibility of work needed, instead of boilerplate language. To me, that warrants a solid B or C review.

Due to inadequate air flow from drain tiles, we have less than desired
pressure and we continue to communicate with Paul and Chase to ensure
that our system works as efficiently as possible. They have been very
responsive and, so far, I would highly recommend them.

Paul and his son were absolutely great to work with! They were very professional and knowledgable from start to finish. We had a lot of questions and they were very patient with walking us through the entire process. The installation went well and we couldn't be happier with the results. We've been recommending them to all of our family and friends due to such a great experience :)

    Anderson Home Inspection LLC
Donn is not only professional but very approachable and easy to talk to. He encourages questions both during and after the inspection. The report he generates is exhaustive and goes into future potential issues as well as the immediate issues. I will definitely use him again if I ever need a house inspection.

We looked up all of the home inspectors recommended to us by our realtor and the bank and some others, but none were credentialed by ASHI and because neither my husband or I are experts in home owning and maintenance we wanted someone we could trust. We called Kent after looking at his sample reports and history, and reviewed him on Angie's List. He had the most experience of any other home inspectors we reviewed, and possible the most experience in the state. He told us he does about 500 home inspections a year. At the time we called him to set up an appointment, we were still in the secondary position on our house, and Kent completely understood and just said if anything changes or we have to cancel just let him know as soon as we can (no penalty, as some inspectors charge). Luckily everything worked out as we were hoping and he came over and covered EVERYTHING with the greatest focus on the basement, heating, gas lines, plumbing, electrical, and foundation in the basement. He pointed out critical health and safety concerns and explained everything to us in detail and would give cost estimates for repair when asked. He also took many pictures, which he said would not be in the report but available if we wanted. He also did a 3 day radon test (sampling every hour) upon our request. He arranged it with our realtor so that the test was in the house prior to the inspection so that we got the written inspection report and radon test results the same day (the day after the inspection). After the inspection was reviewed by our realtor he asked for pictures of the cracked heat exchanger, which Kent emailed to us right away to support the report.
We were immensely happy we hired Kent to do our home inspection. I have heard horror stories from co-workers and family about home  inspectors, but we couldn't be more satisfied. We felt that Kent not only covered the critical aspects of the house from basement to roof (he went on the roof to inspect it) but he pointed out literally everything that was not as it should be, whether or not it was a critical issue or not. He pointed our where the homeowners had tried to do their own work less successfully, and he tested all of the appliances that were part of the purchase agreement.
We would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a thorough home inspection.

Setting up, pricing, scheduling all went smooth.   They are very busy so they do refer you to their web site to get common asked questions answered.   I also feel like they really want you to understand what you're buying.
Install day:  They showed up on-time.   Father/son team.   We walked through the project, I had an opportunity to ask any questions.   Installation was smooth.  It took about 6 hours.
They seem to be very nice guys and after knowing them I would be comfortable with them being in the house with my Wife and 3 kids (all under 5) alone.
I would recommend them to anyone needing a radon removal system.

After having a radon test done we found that our levels were at 7.7pCi/L and 8.0pCi/L on the 2 tests whereas the EPA (which cites ASTM E2121-09 Standard "Practice for Radon Mitigation Systems in Existing Low-Rise Residential Buildings" as the definitive standard on radon mitigation) lists a national action guideline of 4.0pCi/L.
Considering our basement is finished and used regularly and we have 3 small children we wanted to address this right away.  Through Angie's List we found Radon Measurement & Elimination Services.  It is a father and son team run by Paul Nicholson and his son Chase.
Chase came out to perform the estimate and explain what would be accomplished.  Chase was very professional, courteous, and most important, on-time.  We agreed on the work and had it scheduled for the following week (which is today, they literally just left).
Paul and Chase arrived right on time with Chase tackling the outside portion of job and his father Paul performing the inside work. Having Paul and Chase in my home was like having a member of my family due the job.  Both were very professional, courteous, and once again on-time.  The job was done with quality and they took the time to explain everything to me in detail, including how they stand by their workmanship and parts through their warranty program (which is not something you pay extra for).
All in all the job took about 3 hours for my 2 story home and I am extremely pleased with the results.  I also have peace of mind knowing that they stand by their work and guarantee that I will see vast improvements in my radon levels in a short period of time.  I would recommend Paul and Chase to anyone needing this service.  Simply put, they are stand up guys who you can trust to do a great job.

    HEARTHSTONE
He gave my husband a military discount. He was the only one that my husband found that offered a military discount. He was very good in answering our questions, getting back to us on time, and he was on time for the home inspection. He was very thorough and explained exactly what he was doing while he was going through the house, because we were there for the home inspection. He provided us all the reports within a day, followed up with us on the radon test, and made some suggestions with regards to how to fix it. He was pretty good. We’ve actually referred him to family and friends already, and we most definitely will be using him again in the future.
