Beware of store policies. The floor tile did not match once the tiler installed the walls and I was not able to return it because they ordered from a vendor. Also, I had bought the grout and it had been more than 30 days before the tile was installed. Since I purchased new floor tile the grout needed to be returned. The policy is no returns after 30 days. Unfortunately, most remodels are longer than 30 days. Also, I kept the the sample piece of the color of the cabinetry we ordered. When the cabinetry came, it was much darker than the sample color I chose. [This was not the fault of the store but I would not be able to return it..Kraftmaid] Today I had scheduled the countertop install from Allen Kitchen and Bath followed by my plumber to install the faucet and shower. Be aware that the price of the countertop was kept down by ordering "product only".. therefore, it is the homeowners responsibility to drill the faucet hole and install the countertop, glue and caulk the backsplash. Thankfully, the wonderful delivery men did the install for me. Also, most big items on the order list are grouped....not priced-out separately. You are unable to tell how much things are. The good parts to this are the people who work there are very nice and responsive to calls or emails. I did get money from returning the grout. The young man who delivered my cabinetry got all of it in the house by himself- he really should have had help. A very nice, considerate young man. The gentleman that measure and deliver the countertop are top notch at service and very personable.

    Reality Construction LLC
AWESOME - Reality construction did an excellent job with my kitchen remolding project. We determined a budget, and that was it, no worries, no hassle with the price. They stepped me through the entire process and allowed me to pick out every item, Even allowed me to change a few things. They were very accustomed to this kind of project, And the attention to detail was amazing. They thought of things that I would never had. Most of the work was done when no one was at home, and I never felt security was an issue. The communication was great and the kitchen is exactly what I hoped for. Wonderful company and I would highly recommend them for any remolding job.

After we signed up at companys booth at a Milwaukee Brewers game, a sales rep visited our home and we spent an over an hour discussing in detail the work we wanted done - he took design notes, measurements and showed us samples of materials. However, the next meeting to review a detailed design & proposal kept getting rescheduled - it was difficult to set up new meetings due to the reps travel distance to southeast Wisconsin & his times available. The sales rep never showed up to our last scheduled meeting, which he had confirmed earlier that day - later that evening we got a call from the companys scheduler claiming the rep had car trouble. We complained about this and they said they would send someone out ASAP - however when he showed up (on-time, as scheduled) he wanted to start the whole sales pitch again from the beginning - we objected and said we heard that all before and we wanted our proposal. This second sales rep said he didnt know anything about the first rep and his proposal, but said he would investigate the problem. We eventually got a call back from the second rep & manager a few days later telling us the first rep was no longer with the company and the extensive bathroom remodel work we wanted done was not something the company could do. We would have saved a lot of time & frustration if first rep had told us that upfront and not strung us along...

    Mukwonago Remodeling
This is an update to an earlier post. In addition to the earlier problems (5 weeks late, poor tiling, diffuculty securing lien wavers) a new problem emerged: the shower base that Mukwonago selected and installed cracked. A review of the Lowes web site indictated that this shower was of low quailty with a rating of just over one and some reviewers did note that they experienced cracking. Mukwonago's response was to order and deliver a replacement shower and refused to assist with its replacement.

    Oak Creek Plumbing
We knew upon signing the contract that we would wait 2 months until work would begin. But we were disappointed that the job ran about 6 weeks behind the projected finish date without any obvious reasons, such as back orders. Contractors in the house were very nice. Work is high quality, but admittedly on the pricier side.

    HickoryBridge Construction
We bought a house that needed the master bath redone. New flooring (over a heated floor), removal of tub, extension and matching of existing counters to add a makeup area, new shower area with large walk-in shower, barn door to cover toilet area, electrical and painting. Eric and his team not only did a wonderful job but also helped with design ideas. He was accessible, prompt, courteous, and kept the construction dust away from the rest of the house. We would definitely hire him again.

    High Quality Contracting Inc
There are not enough good words to say about Nick, High Quality Contracting's owner. His professionalism, open communication, courteousness, and knowledge far exceeded my expectations. Nick completed my huge home project in a very timely manner and hired only the highest quality professionals building architect, electrician, HVAC professional, plumber, etc. Nick kept me updated during the construction/remodel regarding the workers coming into my home and set the expectations; he was always conscience of the cost and helped save money by giving excellent alternatives with every purchase. Nick is very easy to work and his vast knowledge allowed him to provide excellent and trustworthy recommendations. My home is absolutely beautiful, I am thrilled with the results! Nick did such a tremendous job three of my friends hired him to complete work in their home. The name of Nick's company High Quality Contracting says it all. He truly has Craftsmanship You Can Trust. Mukwonago Remodeling
Poorly. The project took 13 weeks for a contracted 8 week project. The Mukwanago project manager would not install what the Mukwanago designer proposed and priced. Changes were done on the fly. The tile work was poorly done: the tile was poorly laid, the grout was too coarse and two different color grouts were used. Durning this negotiation, Mukwanago tried to change the warantee period to one year from the contracted 3 years. We requested lien waivers from Mukwonago's subcontractors and it took a letter from my attorney, intervention from NARI and several weeks to receive them

We had the same experience as the other D and F reviews. Missed appointments, nine days that workers were no-shows, no contract, no communication. A Two week bath, with all material on site since August when job was supposed to be done, started on November 6th Exact finished on December 21st. Shower door subcontractor installed door on January 5th. John did say he would put up a temporary curtain, but we declined. We never knew where we stood on the cost as they do not do contracts. All quotes and costs are verbal by John. When it came time for the final payment Paul said he needed a check for $5200? the next day he said $4900 so I called John and he said $4700. In Addition, Similar Floating pricing happened with the shower door and was tried with the plumbing. Receipts and/or invoices are not given. I do feel that Exact has some quality craftsmen and subcontractors that can do a good job when directed correctly. The project manager was not engaged, and communication was so bad between crews that frustration, rework and constant complaining by workers/subs was the norm. On a few occasions both Paul and John were even verbally abusive to me. I am left with a bathroom, that I invested 15K in, with visible drywall patches on the wall, an un-flat floor with seams that are already opening, and extra trim needed to cover the shortcuts taken. Do not use them as they are too busy and unorganized to give you the attention you are paying for.

The flooring was not installed to the manufacturer guidelines, leaving lumps, bumps, waviness, divots and ridges. We contacted the company and to make along story short, they did offer to "fix" the problem by putting shims between the joists and floor to raise low spots, sand the high spots and use leveler. Not understanding how this would "fix",rather than create more problem areas, we hired a professional flooring inspector. He did confirm the installation fault, as the measurements he took, fell well outside of the manufacturer specs for leveling, that should have been met before installing the flooring. Complete tear up and replacement following the manufacturer installation guides were the only way to correct the problem. This was also stated to us by the flooring distributor. We hired the inspector after meeting with the owners of the company and were told by them that manufacturers installation instructions were only recommendations and they did not have to be followed. They also stated when it was pointed out that for maximum results the floor should not be installed over other resilient flooring, which,it was. They stated "well that's if you want to maximum results". During a rather heated discussion they left our house because, of the yelling and said they would not be back and the haven't been back. They have not responded to the Consumer Protection Agency, which we reached out to for help, making it necessary for us to take them to small claims court next. The flooring aspect of our remodel was most unsatisfactory.
