    They were there within an hour of my call on a very Arctic day in which I know they were super busy. The tech, Eric, was so super friendly, as is every single tech I have had from their shop. He explained everything he was doing and why it may be failing, as well as what he did to fix it. Made sure heat was working in all rooms. Very professional, thorough, and down to earth. These guys are definitely people you can trust. Solid!! Every time.

    I had scheduled a furnace tune-up for the first time with this company. From scheduling to execution of services, everything was timely and professional. Anthony came to perform the furnace tune-up and he discovered my furnace was in very bad disrepair. He cleaned it and tried to determine if it could be fixed by replacing parts. He worked very hard and kept communicating with me throughout the process. He gave me information on repair vs. replacement. I appreciated his expertise and his patience. I ultimately decided to get a new furnace. Anthony made it easy by arranging an appointment for me for the next day to discuss options with a furnace salesman. This company shows respect to their customers and the service is outstanding. I will definitely hire them again! The price reflects the original tune-up plus the unexpected extra time Anthony spent working on the furnace. The price was very fair.

    We were very impressed with the service person who arrived. He was respectful, polite, and friendly. He checked both the furnace and the air conditioner and did some repair. He took the time to answer all our questions. We will certainly recommend him and his company.

    They?were really great. They?did a good job.?Clean. They were good. It's really hard to compare because we had them put an air conditioner in the house that doesn't have any air vents. I think it was fair. The price was fair.?They're excellent. We have no complaints. I think it was four or five days to complete the work. They?had to do a lot. The workers were polite, and they were clean.?They?cleaned up okay.

    Was very well done and thorough service. They called and asked to come on an earlier day in which we didn't have the new stove in place or converted to propane. They were ok with that and unboxed the new stove and did all the prep work on it. Did a good job on the installation and charged a decent price.

    Installed new furnace, came back and checked and made a few adjustments. How great not to worry all winter about it. It is quiet and heats nice. Fair price. Always pleased with these guys. Will use again.

    Charlie the owner answered the phone and came right out that same day and fixed the furnace so we had heat.  He called with an estimate before he started work, the repair was done right the first time and I could not tell he had been here the area was cleaned up and the old  part left for my inspection.  I had used Valheat to install my furnace 10 years ago and never had a problem. The initial job went excellent and Valheat very competitive to say the least on price. Thanks Valheat a contractor I can count on.

    This review is not a reflection of this company. It is only a review of Matt Martell who is a manager, according to his card, at Better Homes. I needed duct work and a furnace installed in my house. I called Better Homes and they set up an appointment for Matt to come over the following Monday. Matt came to our house. He was friendly and seemed to listen to my suggestions. He drew out the diagram of how to do the duct work. He measured as if he had an intention of doing the ductwork.  He brainstormed ideas with me of where to install the furnace. I told him that out of 5 companies who I had over for estimates that only 2 of them had given me actual estimates.  I told him the gas line would be installed in 4 weeks and I had hoped to get the furnace installed this fall/winter.  As Matt walked out the door, he said something to the effect of, "We can get this done.  I just need some time to sit down at the computer and draw it up."
    I called Matt about 2 weeks after he came to our house because I needed some information for WE Energies regarding the gas line.  The lady who answered the phone said he was at a site but she expected him back to the office shortly.  She said she would have him call back that afternoon.  He never called me back and I had to get information regarding the gas line from another company.  I left messages after about 4 and 8 weeks asking Matt to at least call me back and let me know if he was or wasn't interested in the work.  He never called me back.
    My neighbors suggested using Better Homes so I went back to them and suggested they change companies based on my Better Homes experience.  It's really difficult to swallow that a company can make money when they have such poor customer service skills that they will not even return a phone call.  An honest response of not being able to handle the job would have been better than no response at all.

    It turned out quite well actually. I was pleased with their service and the whole thing I thought was well worth the money I paid and I like it. I'll use them again probably. I haven't called them right away but once I just set the schedule, it was just like a week and it fits my schedule and theirs too.
