FHorrible! Took my small rescue dog here and the groomer was COMPLETELY careless! Instead of a call that she was ready, I received a call she was being taken to emergency as the groomer almost took her back dewclaw off! I mentioned my dog had all 4 dewclaws at drop off and to be careful and I was blown off! They did pay for the emergency care but I will need a vet follow up and nothing can be paid for my dogs current suffering! Groomer should have called me and apologized and the management instead of the receptionist.. groomer should be fired! DON’T GO HERE

AThey are also the only place I know of that will groom cats. I followed her from different locations. Cara is extremely friendly, treats all the pets in there as if they were her own. A lot of times groomers don't treat dogs as well as their own. Every time he comes out he has a bandana on festive to the time of year it is. He also gets a Christmas stocking each year, she takes some pictures of the dogs and puts them up on her wall of fame. It's shocking to me that she does all these extras. Those scarves cost $5 each from where she buys them.

FI boarded my dog there on 9/21/17. My dog is high risk and I was very transparent with the owner Nina, letting her know my dog could not return to a previous daycare due to not getting along with other male dogs. All seemed well until the next day when my dog fell ill. This was the second time I had left my dog there. I boarded him overnight in 2015 and he fell ill the next day at that time as well but I never mentioned anything to Spa and Tail at that time. I called the daycare in the early afternoon on 9/22/17 and asked to speak to Nina but was told she was not in. I inquired about their hygiene protocols, how they clean their kennels, if they knew of any dogs that may have been sick. I asked staff if they refrain from allowing sick dogs to daycare for the day and was told no. I told the staff that I wanted to at least make them aware that my dog got ill so that they could be aware of the issue. I also let them know that I would need to wait until my dog was better before returning him to daycare - because I'm a responsible dog owner. Instead of appreciating that I let them know about a potential illness and letting them know I will make sure my dog is healthy before returning him there, the owner called me and left a message, which I have saved, about my "accusation." Nina was very defensive and rude in her message and repeatedly mentioned my "accusation" then told me I'm not welcome at their facility. The owner is one of the least professional business owners I've ever encountered when it comes to dealing with customer concerns. After reading other reviews here and elsewhere, it seems she is notorious for this defensive behavior. She also responds to negative reviews by twisting the truth. I was not rude to her staff. I did not, however, appreciate her employee's repeated denials that any dogs were ill at Spa and Tail despite her having confirmed that they will accept sick dogs for the day. Other daycares let owners know that, if a dog is ill, they cannot bring their pets in for that day - just like a human daycare. Dogs who are boarded or put in daycare having a higher likelihood of getting sick. I understand that. What is not acceptable is the owner's behavior. On another note, I recommended Spa and Tail to a few friends in the past. One friend took a tour inside back in 2015. She said she refused to take her dog there because the place had a very bad odor and that it came from the inside fake lawn they use. I also toured the daycare in 2015 and can confirm the bad odor. The dogs urinate on fake grass and the urine goes down into a holding pan then sits there. They may clean the pan out a few times a day but the odor was indeed very bad. In 2016, I inquired about taking my now high risk dog to Spa and Tail. I was given a tour by a wonderful employee who had remembered my dog from the previous daycare. She is no longer there but she was not allowed to take me into the play area due to "safety." I believe it was so that potential customers won't be turned off by the smell. I have already found another place to care for my dog. It may not be as close to home but I trust their knowledge and professionalism. Despite what the owner of Spa Paw and Tail claims in her response, I want to ensure everyone that my review is VERY valid. I have one account per review site. This business owner has made rude responses to every one of my reviews. She also attempted to intimidate me into taking down my valid reviews by having the authorities call me on 10/17/17. During that morning, I received a call from an embarrassed law enforcement officer who actually apologized to me for having to call me. I have provide the name of this officer to Angie’s List as well as a photo of the medicines that were provided to me by my vet following a visit to Spa Paw and Tail. I was never rude to her employees, never yelled at them nor swore at them. In short, I did nothing to warrant the owner’s odd message she left me. I have archived and saved the voicemail message. The message only refers to my “accusations.” A valid review is just that, a valid review. Ms. Nina Race simply does not know how to emotionally deal with negative reviews in a mature way. Instead, as anyone can read from her response, she insults, attacks, discredits and threatens those who provide negative reviews. Her behavior is becoming more and more perplexing and as a consumer, I do not see how this improves the public image of her business.

AWe went there just to get some dog food. We were assuming that because they are a big, retail pet supplier, they would be overpriced. As soon as we came in, we were able to bring our puppy that we just adopted. They gave us a book and free samples. We signed up for some classes because they had a coupon for 20% off. They were phenomenal. Our last puppy class there was amazing. They were extremely patient with our puppy and with us. It was great. With regard to price, I think it was normally $200 for a twelve week program. We paid $150. The classes are an hour and a half long. So that's a really amazing deal. Every time we go, they give us little freebies. It is really worth it. Our puppy is super needy. I have to take her with me. I try to crate her. At night, she is doing really well. But during the day, if I'm gone for an extended period, she doesn’t. She gets really worked up and she follows me everywhere. She thinks that I'm going to leave her and she starts to cry. Petco was amazing with some of the tips that they gave to me. It was great because it wasn’t even part of the class. They asked us if we had any questions in regards to the training we had that day or questions about our pet. They gave us some great ideas. They told us to take a towel that has our scent or an article of clothing with our puppy. They asked us to buy her a special toy that she only gets and that we can fill it in with treats when we put her in the crate. We are going to do that. I thought that was really great. They didn’t have to add anything outside the formal puppy training. They are really giving with information. They are very generous not just with their information but their products as well. I get it that they are probably giving me all these coupons so that I can purchase more things. But it works. I went online just to compare, and these are great prices. They are so sweet. I had a 50% off coupon from them for dog food. The guy gave it back to me and asked me to use it another time. Usually companies don’t do that. I really appreciate that.

ACLASSIC PET GROOMING BOUTIQUEExcellent place to get your pet groomed. I've been using their services for about 10 years. Fair prices and relatively fast service. AWisconsin Pet Care LLCExcellent! I cannot recommend WPC enough. Knowing my cats are cared for and entertained while i am traveling for business is such comfort to me. I would not hire just anyone to cat sit; yet, i would and do hire WPC because every caregiver has been professional, prompt, reliable, and efficient. And I do believe they treat my felines as if they were their own. Plus, those update daily emails with photos of my cats are such a treat to receive! I'm thousands of miles away, and i feel so comforted, aware that my felines are mighty fine.- Marybeth G.

AThe Pet Spoiler LLCGreat jobs on our two small dogs. Prompt, courteous service. Why pack up the dogs and stress them out to take them to the groomer when the groomer will come to them. She did a great job on trimming up their fur and nails. After their bath and trim they came in looking and smelling great. Dogs seem to be extremely happy with how they are treated during the process even though both are normally shy or can be somewhat aggressive with strangers. We plan on using them again and also for in house dog sitting for any of our future vacations- alan H.

APetlicious Pet SpaWell for one thing my pet loves to go there. She will refuse to go to in the door of other places when I return to other places. That is an indication she likes them. I have a rare breed, and they have somebody there. I have had here at other places, and they are the only place that knows how to trim her. I have a Japanese Chin. They know what she is suppose to look like.- Bonnie Z.

We would highly recommend their services- alan H.

AMud Puppy SpawGreat! After going to a local groomer we noticed that each time our dogs would have little nicks on their body. This was a highly recommended establishment but one of our dogs would shake once we got there. We decided never to go back. We found Tiffany, whom my dog absolutely adores, and have followed her to two different stores until she opened her own place. She knows my dogs, remembers their cut, and the fact that my dog is so excited to see her is enough for me.- Phaedra C.
