  • We would recommend Dave for solving computer problems.  He did a nice job of explaining the need for changes on our computer.  His timetable for solving our computer problems and getting us up and running was very good.

  • He was able to come out to my home for the appointment within a few days of purchasing the deal. He spent about forty-five minutes with me and provided me with the advice that I was looking for. I think that it turned out very well.

  • My computer had reached the point where it was erratic and of questionable use.  There was a great deal of information on it and it was important that I have access to it fairly quickly. Geek  World responded quickly and reviewed the problem. It was determined that they would take the machine to their lab for extensive work  Two days later it was returned in perfect working order. In fact it was working as well as it had ever worked in the ten years I had owned it. This could have been a monumental problem, but Chris approached with an attitude of complete confidence and willingness to expedite the solution.
I would use Geek World without a minutes hesitation.  They will get the job done.

  • They were wonderful. They were here for a long time on the computer running through things and didn’t charge us for that time. I think he came out around 2:00 and left after 5:00, and he charged only charged us a $100. They were honest, and upfront about what he was doing and what problems he found.

  • It went great I dropped it off to him and he called me that same night and it was ready for pick up. He really seemed to have vast knowledge of computers. He even does websites and graphic design I think. Ben will be my first call when I need work on my computor or website!

  • My PC stopped turning on. I paid $85 to this store to diagnose the problem as a bad motherboard. When I asked what my options were I was told that the PC was beyond repair and the only way they would help me retrieve the data on the hard drive was if I bought a new computer from them and then paid a data migration fee. With very little research on the internet I was able to find 2 alternative options that were cheaper than the $1000 new computer. I found a replacement motherboard and simple instructions to replace it myself. I also found a cable available at Best Buy that turns my old internal hard drive into an external hard drive so I can retrieve the data on to any other computer very easily. It seems obvious that any computer tech worth anything would have known about these two options that would have solved my problem for $200 instead of $1000.

  • The computer was dropped off for a tune up on a Thursday at noon with the store representative saying it will probably be done tomorrow morning for $60-90. Everyday there was a new excuse about what the delay was. We got the computer back 8 days later for $110 of labor charges and $50 of software upgrades. He attempted to sell us extra RAM despite the laptop already having 1 GB (which he initially said was plenty). When the computer was returned it had been stripped of all of our software and settings. It took hours of reloading programs and settings to get the computer functioning again despite being told that they had restored most programs and data. We spent hours reloading iTunes, Norton, Firefox, etc. and finding lost login names and passwords which we had not collected because we did not anticipate the operating system being reloaded. Overall we feel the service was frustrating and incompetent.

  • It went very well. They were very busy and quoted a six day turnaround time, but for a priority fee of $100 I got my laptop back the next afternoon. They recommended that I change the Internet browser from Explorer to Firefox with no-script, and anti-virus software from McAfee (which was up to date but in multiple scans did not "see" the infections). My laptop now runs well and faster than before it was infected. They installed Mozilla Firefox (no script) and the total cost also included $50 for one year of the new anti-virus software. The extra $150 raised the cost to $293 - to me money well spent.

  • I was surprised at the quick response I received. I was pleased to find out the next day that none of my data was erased or the hard drives damaged. I appreciated that type of communication. They really seem to know what they are doing. I am waiting on the final bill so I do not know the cost.
