College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving
Great service, very professional and easy to work with. They moved items quickly and were very cautious around the walls and flooring. Very flexible in terms of me adding items as I saw a few more small things that could be discarded from our basement. Tony and Dwayne did a great job and I would definitely recommend them.

College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving
College Hunks Hauling Junk and Moving was recommended to me by a friend. I did not have time to research options or pricing, so I acted on the referral. Initially, I spoke with Joe to make the reservation. He was kind, knowledgable, understanding, and considerate. Joe made sure I had all the information I needed in a timely manner and I felt confident that HUNKS would come through for me. On the big day (for which HUNKS only had a day's prior notice), movers Jesse and Johnny called right on time to confirm when they would arrive. Both of them were total pros, personable, empathetic to the situation, and so fast the total cost came out to half of what was estimated. From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience. I am grateful to the HUNKS for making this stressful day a whole lot less intimidating. Thank you!

    Merchants Moving & Storage
Went very well, Merchants Moving is very professional and transparent-they will not blindside you with extra charges (the key is to get a fixed-quote price- this is a guaranteed that price will not be higher than quoted).

    Stairhopper Movers
The moving team was terrific! We hired them last minute to clean out a lot of garbage and boxes from an apartment. They were wonderful and packed boxes really quickly, carried them down 5 flights of stairs and did anything that needed to be done!

    Mr Mover Inc
Mr. Mover crew arrived early and ready to begin. They were careful to review my requirements for the job before beginning. They were flexible in changing the contract as we needed during the move(subtracting items we decided to do ourselves) and they took careful notes of the changes. At the delivery end, the crew was very careful to move the furniture through doorways and nothing was damaged. They reassembled furniture that they'd taken apart at the old house. They made sure to ask where each piece of furniture should be placed and they didn't complain at all when I changed my mind a couple times. It was hard to compare pricewise because Mr. mover charges by the item where many other movers charge by the hour. Overall it was money very well spent and I don't think anybody else could've done it cheaper charging by the hour. I hope we don't move again for a long time, but if we do I would gladly hire Mr. Mover.

    Two Men And A Truck-Milwaukee
MISSING PROPERTY WORTH $800. After two weeks an Oreck vacuum is missing, a pair of weight lifting grips called Fat Grips, and a collectable Japanese Al Mar combat knife worth over $500. The knife was a wedding gift. The icing on the cake is we tipped these movers $50 each totalling $250!! The first set of movers were upset because my 78 year old mother was watching them like a hawk. They actually called their office and complained about my mom being too **** ** them. A lady called my mother and said she couldn't do that because there job is hard enough! No I'm not making this up! We called about the missing property and it's been two days and they don't even have the decency to call us back. I called the owner, Chris Dahlke, this morning and he never called back. After the move they have you sign an agreement stating you have everything. In hindsight I would have waited because we had a lot of stuff, there's no way we would have known. The thing is my mother signed and I did not, and half the stuff was mine. I'm going to file a small claims case because even if I loose people will see the case online. This business is a disgrace. I mean these guys looked so sketchy. Two Men and a Truck is a large franchise company out of Lansing I believe. The only thing this place has going for it is the catchy name. I would avoid this place like the plague. They probably have people calling all the time missing property. This place is not any cheaper and when you add in the missing property it's much more! I would also be careful of bed bugs. The movers went on and on about how they encounter bed bugs. When they came to move there was an old, beat up couch and a few other items in the back of there truck. I actually brought up bed bugs and asked who's couch that was. One of the movers said it was his couch and he was doing something with it it made no sense?? I'm just waiting to see a bed bug knowing this place lol!

    Two Men And A Truck-Milwaukee
Pictures were not packed well. I hired packers- 3 men, 2hours each. I had to leave the house, and they stayed and billed me for 10 hours. They packed what I asked them to pack but continued packing much that I did not want them to pack. Things were not labeled as to exactly what was in the box. i.e., Kitchen- laundry- just general rooms not WHAT was in the container.

    Hungry Man Moving
This provider advised us of exact details regarding our move from Mequon, WI to Southaven, MS. After packing all of the furniture the owner advised us of the next steps which including getting some rest for a few hours prior to traveling towards our destination. When the men arrived in Southaven, MS Vernon called to advise us that they were in town and that they were checking into a hotel to get a few hours of sleep prior to coming to the destination to unload the furniture. After a few hours of rest the men showed up to unload the furniture. All of the movers including the owner were very professional, courteous and cooperative during every step of the process. We had some heavy furniture including a juke box, exercise equipment, dining room table, etc., and they moved all of them without incident or any problems. They placed the furniture into the rooms that we designated without incidence. This team of men did an exceptional job and we would definitely hire them again and absolutely recommend them to anyone that needs to move. What we liked the most was that they quote moves based on a flat rate. Once we were given a flat rate they never changed or attempted to change the price. We are very happy that we hired Hungry Man Moving Company!

    COWs of Metro Milwaukee
This mover was recommended by a good friend.  A couple red flags went up early on, so I regret not going with my gut instinct at this initial point.  During my first call, the voice mail stated that they were in the process of moving buildings, but they get their messages "every half-hour", and that they return calls accordingly.  Flag #1: It wasn't until two days later that I got my first call back from Suzy.  That call was pleasant enough (if maybe a bit too casual, since we had my friend in common) and after discussing my needs, Suzy said that she'd email me my estimate later that day.  Flag #2: I received no estimate, nor any communication at all for two more days, and that was only after I called again and left another message after hearing the "every half-hour" thing again. receive my estimate.  Approximately $750 (billed at $105/hour).  This estimate was to move a queen sleigh bed, tall bureau, low dresser, a large antique buffet, a smaller hand-made teakwood cabinet, one bicycle, 70" flatscreen TV, artwork, 15 (or so) boxes, gas grill, and hang-up clothes.  The rest of the houseful of furniture was to remain, due to the fact my buyer would be purchasing the majority of the living room furniture, a large dining room set (seating eight), and all the furnishings from the second bedroom. Suzy determined a two man team of movers to be adequate.  I found this estimate to be startlingly high since the estimate was for approximately seven hours of work!  Keep in mind that I had moved my entire houseful of furniture  into this condominium in Glendale, from a downtown seventh-floor apartment in under five hours using a four man team from a different mover, three years earlier.  That move cost me just over $500 (using a mover charging by item, rather than hourly).  Suzy assured me the bill would be adjusted should her team accomplish the move in less time but to keep in mind that the clock starts ticking when the moving team leaves their origination point, and ends when they return to the point from which they left.  Okay, fine.
Approximately eight days before the move took place, plans changed.  My buyer would not be able to purchase the furnishings agreed upon in the initial offer-to-purchase.  This was actually okay with me, but I immediately called Suzy to inform her of this change.  She noted all the extra items, and I was assured this would not be a problem, but would likely extend the time of the move billed by the hour.  That was totally and completely acceptable to me.
Fast forward to moving day!  The movers showed up at the scheduled time, however there were only two of them on the team.  Two movers for an entire houseful.  When the movers came in, one of them remarked something to the effect of "Oh God, this is definitely a four-person job".  That lead mover called his base and requested help on this move.  I could not hear the person with whom he was speaking, but after hanging up, the mover told me he was told "you two can handle it", but that they would "try" to send a third.  Well, that never happened.  My uneasiness with all this was then exacerbated by the fact that when these two guys began to move the large wood bedroom pieces, they merely carried them out, when with my last move the movers threw moving blankets over every furniture piece, then bungee cording them before the pieces went anywhere.  I expressed this concern to the movers, and they defiantly informed me that between them, they had over 20 years of experience!  I called Suzy to voice concern over what I viewed as a lack of proper protection for upscale wood furnishings and the rest (as none of the soft pieces, i.e., sofa sectional, pillows, cushions, etc., were wrapped in plastic, unlike my previous move).  I was very quickly admonished and told "you need to let them do their jobs!".  And so I did.  Packing my two-bedroom condo into their truck took nearly six HOURS!!!  So now, I'm past the point where anything could be done.  So the truck follows me the entire 6-1/2 miles to its destination, and nearly five hours later these two movers were still not finished ( ! ).  It's memorable to note that this move was only furniture, though they did indeed move the gas grill.  I was so unnerved by the time these guys were taking that I decided to forego the bicycle, the artwork, and the hang-up clothes.  It should also be noted that sofa cushions were being tossed onto the truck bed with no protection, and also tossed off the truck onto the pavement for pickup!   ARE YOU KIDDING ME????  It didn't take a Rhodes scholar to see that these guys were just getting sloppy at this point.
Imagine my frame of mind when I was billed over $1,200 for two guys being paid by the hour, for a job that should've been done by a four-man team.  Probably somewhat understandably, I let Suzy know how I felt about this, in no uncertain terms!  She justified the expense by explaining that using two extra movers would surely have taken less time, but that the hourly fee would have been adjusted accordingly, so that the total moving charges would've likely been about the same.  She tried to put my disgust in check by telling me she'd see what she could do about making things right.  So, several days later she seemed delighted to inform me that there was a billing error, and that after adjustment, the bill decreased by approximately $50.
This whole experience, from it's red-flag beginning to jaw-droppingly unhappy ending, was (from my eyes) an utter disaster!  Since most communication surrounding this move was verbal, I felt I would have little recourse from a legal standpoint, so I begrudgingly paid the bill.
I will let the reader decide if they would ever want to employ Anchor Moving Systems.
     Would I....??  <laughing>

    Action Organizing Services LLC
It when great.  This was my third experience with Action Organizing.  The first one was unique for both of us.  When I moved into my new home, they met the movers at the door.  They unpacked EVERY single moving box, put EVERYTHING away based on where professional organizers would be put things and broke down ALL of the boxes and put them in the garage.  By the end of my moving day, EVERYTHING was put away.  You can't imagine what a wonderful experience moving was because of their help and expertise.
The second experience was with a drawer in the bathroom vanity that was damaged by an electrical and would not close for seven years.  They found the problem, fixed it and were out the door in 15 minutes.  I was thrilled.
This last experience was with four doors that would either not close or not stay open.  Action Organizing adjusted hardware and planed where need and for the first time in seven years, I can close doors.  Again, I was thrilled.
They are wonderful to work with in addition to be very, very clever.
