    M&M Exterrior Construction
Beware of Bill.  He uses sub-contractors off of craigs list claiming they are his crews.  Typical crooked contractor the will say he can do anything, when in reality he can barely do roofing and siding (his bread and butter).
He will leave your job site over and over with the crew he has at your site and move them to other sites he overextended himself with, Thus leaving your home for days on end without any crews working on  your home.  He doesn't come by to check on the crews workmanship.  Big oversight since he just hires people off of the internet.
The workmanship:  His "paint crew" was a guy from his church who painted apartment interiors part time.  Never painted exteriors before this big job. We had the whole 2 story painted. Left the job regularly, bow hunting was more important.  Slopped paint all over the outside. We spent $20.000 to have every window replaced with Pellas.  He splattered paint on every window after they were installed with his roller. Bill did nothing.  Little splatters are still there! Was supposed to "repair" the exterior boards. A woodpecker made a 2" hole. HE PUT A ROCK IN THE HOLE AND PAINTED OVER IT! That was the "repair".  He painted over the door bell too.
The crews were new to window installation, Bill never supervised.  The windows were so leaky and drafty that winter I had to pull the brand new interior trim off to re-caulk/insulate all the windows. Horrible.  Only applied one bead of low expansion foam and you could see outside when the trim was pulled off.
They put a door on.  It never hung right.  The door would blow open in the winter. I had to use shims in the winter to prevent the door from blowing open. The door wouldn't latch when the weather got cold.
The shingles he put on were all blowing and making alot of racket in the winter. They never laid right.  Woke us up at night.
He comes off as a professional claiming to have done the exterior construction work his whole life.  In reality he was a landscaper his whole life and got into exterior constructon after the recession and a large hail storm provided him opportunity.
I wouldn't recommend him to anyone! We never wanted him in our home again after the job was done. HE WAS IN WAY OVER HIS HEAD. ,

    Affordable Contracting Services
Over the phone he said it would cost 500.00 and he'd see if he could fit me in. I told him that would probably be ok and that I would be out of town for 2 weeks and left it at that. I admit that I said 500.00 was better than 5000.00. In the meantime, I called another contractor for another quote and he came to the house and inspected the roof and gave me a quote of 200.00 or less and I signed the quote and set up an apt right way (not fitting me in). I actually didn't think that Affordable Contracting wanted to do the job. Too small for them.  Affordable Contracting called while I was out of town and said they had an opening in their schedule. They came and did the roof while I was gone! No bill and no written agreement, just a verbal. I waited for a bill and none came. Today he showed up at the house and wanted to bill me 500.00. I told him the other contractor could do it for 200 or less and he as much as said, too bad, that we had a verbal agreement. He took 100.00 off of the bill but it was still twice as much as it should have been. I asked how long it took and he couldn't even tell me because his crew did it. He claimed the time involved was driving over to see what type and color of shingles and then going to get the supplies. Their company is in Neenah, less than 5 miles from my house. I feel he should not have come when I wasn't home , and that when it was a smaller job to do than expected,  to not charge the 500.00 which was never written in a formal quote. Had I spoken to him on the phone, I would have told him to cancel the job. The other contractor had already bought the shingles and sealant, knew what was needed, took the time to evaluate the job, and told me it actually would have taken less than 1 hour!  I feel that Affordable Contracting acted unethically,  and when he showed up at my door, expecting to be paid immediately,  with no advance warning or phone call to say he was coming over, also didn't take credit cards so it put me on the spot! Never, ever, would use them again.

Howard Smith did a great job, he was very professional, explained the process from the beginning to the end and had great communication with me. If there was going to be a delay he would let me know. His teams were very professional and did a great job. The best part is Howard really helped me choose colors that would complement the house and spent extra time with me to make sure it looked the best. I will definitely use Howard on all my construction jobs and would highly recommend him. He is very honest and wants to make the customer happy.

    Sullivan Exteriors

I can't speak highly enough about Ben Sullivan and his crew. My house was in need of having the shingles replaced due to a leak caused by poor workmanship (previous owners - work not done by Ben). I contacted Ben to give me an estimate to repair my roof and replace siding. He arrived on time, inspected my roof and siding. The roof was worse than I feared and Ben took the time to explain not just what but why and how things should be done. A couple days later, we agreed on a price and schedule. Even though he was booked solid, he made the effort to accommodate the schedule I needed.

Ben's crew did an outstanding job, removing the old siding and shingles without causing damage to landscaping. I was also very pleased at how well they cleaned up afterwards. I have heard horror stories about finding nails, etc years after having this type of work done. This was not the case with Ben and his crew.

The roof was replaced in a timely manner and turned out fantastic! The siding took a little longer than planned due to weather but Ben and his crew were there when they said they would be. The guys worked steadily even when Ben was not personally there. I was in fact, pleasantly surprised to see how often Ben was actually there, not just supervising but also doing the work. I know what is involved in running a company, so I was very pleased at his participation.

As with all projects, there were a few hurdles and the unexpected such as window casings but Ben gave his advise and discussed each one. He went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right without charging an extra arm and leg!

The house is now finished and I am very pleased. The quality of the work and the professionalism of Ben AND his crew was outstanding. I would highly recommend Ben and plan to have him do more work for me in the future.

    Motto & Sons Construction
Roof shingles and two sides of house vinyl siding were
hail damage. Additional two sides of house were replaced at my request.
Response for quote was excellent. Contractor worked with insurance company to
finalize settlement on claim portion of project. Pricing was fair and
competitive and the quality of workmanship was superb. Excellent site
management and cleanup and respect for property. Work crews were permanent
employees who took pride in the overall performance of their craft. Additional work
of gutter and Rhino gutter screens installation was timely and professional.
Expectations of working with a local family owned business were fully met. We have confidence
in the quality of work performed. Peace of mind comes with the local long term
assurance behind the warranty. Overall experience had the feeling of dealing
with craftsmen of the past whose pride in workmanship was the motivator.

    Superior Exteriors LLC
Our house got hit with hail on July 20th 2010 and was contacted by superior exteriors to inspect my property. we had roof, gutter, fascia, window wrap and garage door damage. they worked with my insurance company and got all this approved. the work was completed within three weeks of the contract siging. I was very impressed with the work they did and the professionalism. I worked as a laborer for 10 years and decided to see if the company was hiring. I applied for a postion in sales and they trained me into their system. I have been with the company for 3 years now and enjoy helping remodel other peoples homes for insurance and non insurance projects. I am thankful for the work they did on our home and its an exceptional company to work for.

All of the work was completed on schedule and was done with a very friendly crew and the superviser was available by phone to answer any questions. Project manager, Phillip Carton, was well mannered and worked seamlessly with our insurance company. We have recommend this company to all of our friends, relatives and co-workers, and they have provided services to them also, and we would have any future work completed by them as well.

    Al Borchardt & Son
Excellent job.  We are very happy with the results.
I did not know much about siding, but knew we did not want vinyl siding.
We called 3 contractors. One contractor did not show up for a quote.  The 2nd contractor just gave a quote and did not provide any explanation of the options.
Now when we spoke with Tim from Al Borchardt & Son, he listened and provided explanations and a number of options I was interested in..
the other contractor did not indicate we could add more insulation or even tyvex, where Tim did. Tim wasn't pushy on the options, just set it out there based on what I was interested in.
This was the reason we went with Al and Tim for the job.
The work went very well,  Tim and Al were very good at making sure it looked good and paid attention to detail.
The result was very good, we are very happy in the way it turned out.
Also, when we had a minor issue with moving the Power meter, he spoke with an Electrician as to how we needed to get it moved the correct way.  They went the extra mile on this.
Another item was that they paid extra care when removing the stone from the front of the house.  Tim put down plywood and straps to safely remove the stone without injury or cracking the concrete stoop.
Also, another positive thing was they used USA manufactured materials.
Over all we were very happy with the work and would recommend them to anyone.
We even had a few neighbors comment that the siding looked really good and that they did good work.
We made sure we got some business cards to give to anyone who asked.

    Motto & Sons Construction
Motto and Sons was recommended to me by my insurance company to help me with my hail damage claim.  The owner came out and and measured everything up.  He emailed me the estimate that night. Insurance company agreed to it.  They came two weeks later and did the work.  It took one week to complete the job.  They were very clean and respectful to my peoperty.  I would highly recommend them.  The workers were all local people. They will also be doing the repairs on my mothers home.

Josh met with us after our home had been damaged by a hail and wind storm. He was able to point out damage that I had not even been aware of. He met with the insurance company and negotiated a fair settlement on our behalf.
Since they were going to be doing extensive work to include siding and roofing, I decided to also have them replace all my windows and front storm door. He sat down with us and took us through samples from his suppliers and made recommendations that ended up to be excellent choices in terms of price, quality, and looks.
The job was completed on time and in budget for what was quoted. Very professional team that was very informative throughout the project.
I would highly recommend Motto & Sons for any home projects you may have.
