Concrete Repair reviews in Mayville

    Renner Construction And Concrete LLC
We had an awful experience. The garage slab was poured short at 29' 11" x 36' including 3 inches out of square. The contractor misrepresented that the products or materials met certain standards and instead used a cheaper micro mesh. The pour was poorly/roughly finished with deep cracking occurring within the first two weeks since the pour as well as 3/4" pockets and markings from finishing equipment. The drain trough was not pitched correctly therefore causing water not to drain properly. 40' of 4 inch pipe was set level instead of pitched underground. Owner made multiple attempts to communicate with this contractor via phone, fax and meetings but contractor was not willing to stand behind the work. The contractor only offered to do patch work and then was hesitant that this option would not even last. The contractor stated that they felt their work was outstanding better than Menards flooring, etc. Owner had other contractors come out including an home inspector to share their professional opinions. Some of those professional opinions stated the following: 1) The garage was not formed and poured as to what was agreed upon and quoted for the job. The garage was built as 36' x 30' and was supposed to be 36' x 32'. 2) The curbs for the walls are not level. 3) Irregular cracking of the floor without any weight, the cracking appears to have penatrated deep into the floor. 4) At the center of the slab, the outsides were measured with a laser level and the starting measurement was 4" at the level, one side wall was measuring 2 1/4" and the other was measuring 1 3/4" when the lower point is supposed to be to the door and not the center of the floor. 5) The entry slab is 1" out of level. 6) The drain line is improperly pitched and does not drain properly. 7) Thin areas and large joints on the side walls may prevent the proper anchor bolts to be used. 8) Poor finish on the floor. 9) The concrete for the floor was poured at 4" and not the quoted 5" Owner made additional contact with the Department of Agriculture and Trade, Better Business Bureau and Contact Fox 6 news for additional support. Ultimately we ended up in court to resolve the issue.
