  • We have had the Rent a daughter agency for my mother for 6 to 7 years. There is no agency in the area that is superior to their care. Their caregivers are kind caring and compassionate. The agency is organized and well run. They complete background checks, they have training for their caregivers. They are interested in giving the best care possible. They are truely concerned about the well being for their clients.
The caregivers are not CNAs, so there are some limitations to their duties.
There are other agencies in the area - I will not mention names, who hire caregivers with out background checks or much of an interview. I would not trust my loved one to agencies such as this.
I love my mother dearly, and am so grateful for the wonderful care and love she has received. You are losing out on great care if you
    go with any other agency.

  • Everything's good with them. They negotiate with the industries 6.27 to 6.28. I work for the VA and so what they offer certain employees and what they offer other people might be completely different. They treat me well and I have no idea how they treat the general 6.47 to 6.51, but I couldn't vouch for that.

  • My Anthem Group Policy has a "wellness" provision to pay for tests to keep you healthy. I'm over 50 so I had a Colonosopy. My first test 3 years before, had found a large benign polyp. Anthem claimed this test was "continuing treatment" as a result of the first test because the Doctors office had a "procedure code" indicating "prior polyps". It did not indicate that I was sick just that I had a prior polyp. Anthem wanted to charge the test against my deductable "$3,000". Problem: I had only been with Anthem for 2 years and it is a group policy with an open enrollment. i.e. no individual underwriting. It took a "Bad Faith" appeal to the insurance commissioner for them to "discover" a miscoding. The doctor's office still maintains that they have not changed the coding and they will not change it for my next test in 3 years. Anthem claims that it was a coding error but will not be specific as to what the error was. My next test will be in 3 years I look for to that paperwork pain in the a**.

  • We have had an average experience with them. Their back office sends in our bill, but they take too long to pay the insurance claims. Neither my husband nor I have major health issues, so we feel good. Unlike many people whose claims weren t settled, we got our claim reimbursed.

  • I have stopped working and needed family medical insurance. Anthem was easy to work with and got me set up with the coverage that was right for me. I obtained a high deductible plan which has kept the monthly cost reasonable, but of course I pay a significant amount of money before insurance kicks in. However, they do cover routine exams, perform price checking and cost management for services that I have done. Anthem also provides wellness clinics, seminars and check up reminders. I have found them to be a good service.

  • Anthem is fine. They pay what medicare doesn't pay. They don't bother me. They are very expensive, other than that I haven't had problems with them.
