    La Crosse Movers
Without knowing who to call, I spent a week researching different companies. It basically came down to who would be the first to respond, and who would be available with a four day notice. The second runner up was Coulee Region Moving Services. However, the La Crosse Movers took the gold. Plus, they were the most professional over the phone (Erics Moving stuck to text messages. I actually received one at 7:59pm. Yikes!). The La Crosse Movers (LCM) arrived on time. Their appearance made a very good first impression. I wish I could remember both of there names, however, Donovan (may not be the right name, or, spelling) was wearing black pants, and a LCM company shirt. Eric was wearing khaki pants and a button up shirt. They both greeted me with respect and professionalism. At that moment I knew I picked the right guys. During the move they made a stop along the route to pick up a large 1940s study desk, which weighed over one hundred and twenty-five pounds. Taking their time, they were able to maneuver it pass two back-to-back 90 degree turns through a hallway that was barely wide enough, down a flight of stairs, and over a banister without damages to the desk or the building. At the end, everything was where I wanted it, without damages to my house or my belongings. Plus, I know its subjective, but it was two hundred dollars less than what I expected. Also, this may sound insignificant, but it was nice for them to accept a check. Overall, it would be pretty hard to take the gold away from these guys. The only complaint I have is they werent free of charge; otherwise, there are none. Thanks guys!!

    Coulee Region Moving Services
In terms of selecting vendors, I priced a few different options, including renting a U-Haul independently and paying movers on both sides. I opted for the "turnkey" all-inclusive solution, so I could also pay insurance and not have to worry about any liability. Coulee Region Moving Services exceeded my expectations! I appreciated the care and professionalism they took in safeguarding everything. They had to deal with some challenging (heavy and bulky) furniture, and did so with grace and persistence. Colin (the owner) was easy to communicate with, and reassured me regarding concerns I had with moving everything from an office space of about 1,300 sq. ft. There were no problems at all. They even did everything in a single day; remarkable considering the distance between sites was 2.5 hours, each way! I highly recommend this company and would work with them again, if needed.

    First Class Moving & Storage
Prompt, friendly, honest, responsive to our needs and questions.  They moved with urgency while still caring for our belongings with more professionalism than I thought possible from a moving company on such a large task.  They wrapped everything with care, moved with care and with incredible efficiency.  Honestly, we thought they underestimated our job based on other bids.  We called them in advance of the move to ask if they were certain of their numbers and they said regardless, they would stand by their bid.  The movers were amazed when they arrived and ended up requiring two vehicles instead of just the semi that was initially projected.  But good to their word, the bill was exactly as expected.  We made sure we tipped well.
Our experience with these guys was outstanding.  In fact, I joined angies list if for no other reason, to give them a great review. My wife and I were extremely concerned about the move and getting quality movers.  It was simply not something to be concerned about based on the job they performed for our family.  I would recommend them to my family and friends without reservation.
They also stored our possessions for approximately three weeks, everything was fine, no issues whatsoever.

I called the company for an estimate on moving. I explained my moving
situation; they were very friendly and professional. Although I was not
able to use them for my move, they gave me great advice, guidance and
even referred me to a couple of other companies that could potentially help
me with my specific needs. They definitely went above and beyond what they needed to do.

    Jakes Moving And Storage LLC
It was all very good. My only complaint was that it took a lot longer than they thought it would. It wasn’t so much that we paid more, we just ran out of time in the day and they had another job the next day so few things were kind of rushed at the end.

    La Crosse Movers
The move was complex as to timing. Movers had one truck and two men at each house at the same time; they efficiently and speedily emptied both houses (208 21st Pl S, 8 rooms plus basement and 1610 Hayes St., 5 rooms, garage and basement), switched locations and delivered households in due time. They were courteous and caring. Movers completed the task they were hired for.

We contacted several companies for estimates for our interstate move. Although Jacobson's wasn't the lowest estimate, we chose them over some other local movers because they represent a national company and had experience with long distance moves. After a representative toured our house and we discussed our moving preferences they provided an estimate of $8500 for a full service move, which was largely based on weight and distance to our new house.
In the past we have had moving companies provide low estimates and later present a bill much higher than the estimate. Therefore, since the bill would be based on weight we donated many items to Goodwill and also threw away or gave away many heavy or bulky items between the time of the estimate and the moving date in order to ensure the bill would not exceed the estimate.
The day of the move arrived and the movers were professional enough although they were late each day. After the truck was packed and on the road we received notice that our bill would exceed the estimate by $2000. Naturally, we complained and asked for rationale - particularly since we tried to minimize the weight and volume of our belongings after the estimate was provided. The rationale provided was that the original estimate was too low and that there was some miscommunication between the person providing the estimate and the front office - but that we are still responsible for the total bill because of some fine print in the contract we signed after the truck was loaded.
After many complaints by email and phone calls and some negotiating, they reduced the cost by $500. Unfortunately, this is still $1500 more than the original estimate despite our best effort to avoid this scenario. We were very dissappointed in our decision to hire Jacobson's Moving.

    La Crosse Movers
The heat index that day was 114 degrees! It was miserably hot, but the three guys were pleasant and worked hard in spite of the heat. I hired them for three hours but it took almost five hours. That was my underestimation of the job, not the speed of their work. They were fast and knew how to move items safely and efficiently. The guys were also well-mannered and personable and it was a pleasure to have them around. When it came time to drive to the new house, I led with my car and they followed in the truck. They drove very carefully, below the speed limit, which I appreciated considering all my worldly possessions were in that truck!

They got the job done quicker than they estimated, and they came in under cost. The only complaint that I had was that there were a couple of things that were broken, but that seems to happen anytime that you move.

United Mayflower Storage & Moving Containers
The group that moved us came from Greenbay. We went with them because of the rating they had with the BBB. They moved us and they were very punctual but the insurance claim was incredibly unresponsive. The movers and packers were very punctual and responsive.
