Kenosha Movers Reviews

"When I called to inquire about the company, the owner answered the phone. These days that's pretty rare. They picked up furniture at my parent's house and took it right away to our condo in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They were on time, careful, and did a great job. I was extremely pleased, and would definitely recommend them and use them again. The price was

reasonable, and much less than some of the other coanies I talked to.
"The crew that came that morning was great! They were very professional and very conscientious about my parent's home and possessions. They were open and honest about a large piece of furniture that couldn't fit coming down off the 3rd floor. The foreman was very thorough going over the paperwork and requirements.
The only thing that I would make any type of comment about is the people at the office. They are very polite and efficient, however, when they called to schedule delivery and the revised price (I added a few things), they were very confused. They said I could have same crew, delivering in 4 days, and the counts didn't match. Later on that day, a different person called and gave us a lower total that was still due and said they had arranged to have the same crew deliver the load.
I would like to preface that the team that worked with

was friendly, hard working, kind and professional. On the other hand, the owner,

, is anything but.
Lets start with the basics. From the day he came to give us an estimate, we knew that he had another job also booked and we accepted this arrangement because we had heard he was so good, he also insisted there would be no conflicting issues. It went downhill from there. Two days before I called him to alert him that there may be a delay in our closing, he told me how inconvenient it was for him to make any changes. This sentiment was repeated at least 6 times over the course of the day and became quite bothersome. Each time I over overheard him speaking he made it very plan that he wasn't speaking to me, but his crew. I was simply trying to be friendly and engaging!
As a business owner myself, if I spoke to my clients this way, I wouldn't be in business. Never in my life have I been treated with such animosity and anger.
During the course of the move he berated and spoke to his crew, as well as my husband and I in a condescending and passive/aggressive manner. It was embarrassing after awhile. To listen to someone literally all day tell his employees that they were worthless was insulting and disrespectful. What can I say. The guy has absolutely no people skills.
When the final bill arrived...and it was already 9:30pm, the price had

close by $400. We were prepared to pay for their pizza dinner and leave generous tips for the crew, but we were fed up with

's attitude that we passed. When we wrapped up, after hearing he had "under estimated" the job, I sat him down and told him how rude he was-the rudest in 15 prior moves and he mumbled something under his breath, grabbed his money, and immediately left the premises. No receipt was provided so we have nothing to go on if something is broken. (which there was) Client services skills? Not the kind I want to encounter.
I would stay so far away from them it makes your head spin. No one should be treated this way. Moving is stressful enough not to have to put up with that.

"Well, I steeply underestimated the amount of stuff to be moved, and I knew that, so the estimate they gave me was too low. But still, they were actually apologetic about it! Then, they told me they work in shifts, first packing up, then moving out to the truck. They provided boxes and wrapping paper, and wrapped and packaged. Then the move out, and they were quite careful with my stuff. They even took a very delicate boat model, and carried it to my new home on one of the mover's laps. It was a very hot day, yet the two polite men did not falter, and my move was accomplished in about 8 hours, though they did not charge me for their breaks. I was very pleased by their quickness, care with my belongings, and good nature in the face of our heat wave. I would definitely think of using them again.
"Initial communication was excellent and we were very pleased and felt confident we had made the right decision using this company to help with our move. It became rather clear that they were very concerned with watching the clock. We ended up paying for a
third hour and still didn’t get close to being loaded. My wife and I were left with a yard full of items and nowhere to put it. We had to
rent a second truck and load it ourselves.
GOOD THINGS: Polite. Punctual. Courteous.
BAD THINGS: Packed the truck poorly and we had to rent a second truck. Taped a dresser shut with packing tape and the finish was completely ruined once we removed the tape. Scraped/damaged our dresser. Walked on boxed. Walked on leather couch. SUMMARY: We got the job done but I wouldn’t recommend this team.

"We had only 3 weeks notice to make moving arrangements. We contacted 3 companies for estimates and only
Kenosha Movers Provider Name Locked
actually showed up for the estimate appointment. They were very helpful and willing to be very flexible. They agreed to store several pieces of furniture at no cost if we agreed to use them for both halves of the move. They also provided, free of charge, several pallets to elevate items we were storing in the basement of the rental property for 7 months. We boxed everything ourselves. They disassembled and reassembled furniture as needed. The estimate was very accurate for the billing hours. They were courteous, hard working, efficient and fast, however they were not as careful as I thought they should have been. This was the third time we used professional movers but the only time we had damage. During the first half of the move, a book case (approx. value new: $400.00) was improperly secured and fell over during transport, crashing into other items and splitting the back as well as marring two of the shelves. Several other pieces of furniture were minimally scratched or chipped. A box of fragile items was dropped but nothing broke. We did not pursue reimbursement for the bookcase. During the second half of the move, the moving van caught and pulled down an overhead cable hanging low over the road in front of the property were were renting, which in turn pulled the weather casing & siding off of the house causing $310.00 in damages to the house and putting 2 small dents into the hood of our vehicle. The moving company, cable company and utility company all denied liability and the money for the damages to the rental property was withheld from our security deposit. Because we were not the owners of the damaged property there was not a way to file a claim for reimbursement and we chose not to pursue in small claims court. We do not know who would have been found legally responsible for the damages in court since there were so many conflicting legal opinions.
