Lighting Installation reviews in Kenosha

On time for the most part, it happened right after all that flooding, so it put them behind a day or 2 at the most. Voitek, the carpenter was a perfectionist and it shows. Lou the project manager reached out to me practically every day with updates. Many compliments from the the foot traffic down my busy street when they see my new porch.

    Flat Rate Electrical
The installer was on time and completed the work quickly and professionally.  I would not hesitate to call him again for more work.  I am completely happy with all three fixtures, and have had no problems.  The estimate was accurate and there were no additional charges.  :)

    DC Electric
Dave has done work for me before and has always been professional, honest and friendly. So when I needed some stuff done, I called him first.
D.C. Electric is very busy. There is a reason for that...they are very good. They fit me in their schedule only a few days after I called and did all of my in-home electrical work in the first visit. The previous owner of my house was an idiot and left random switches around my basement and even buried a couple switches in a wall during a remodel. Also, he did not have switches close enough to entry ways and neglected to put in dimmers where they would have been the most effective. I was tempted to try and figure all of this out myself but with this much mystery, I felt it was best left to a professional.
Dave showed up early and followed me around my house taking notes as to what I wanted. He was able to do everything I requested without me needing to be in the same room and he was done in about 1/2 the time I estimated it would take. He was even able to pull out and re-use two buried switches in a wall without leaving any drywall damage. He tested some random switches to find out what they did and covered those which were not needed or not functional. He installed 6 different dimmers throughout the house and even ordered a replacement puck light for a cabinet that I had not been able to find. The puck light had been mounted improperly by the same idiot previous owner and Dave hole drilled and set the light properly. He even dusted and windexed my shelves and counter around the cabinet.
They came back a few days later to do a lot of work in my garage. I had two very inefficient sodium lights hanging from a very high ceiling. He removed them and installed two 4' hi-bay fluorescent fixtures. He also installed a third fixture over a specific workspace area in the garage. They then ran lines for four new outlets and installed a new breaker in my garage panel. The light in the garage is exponentially better and I am using a fraction of the electricity.
D.C. is professional, prompt, reasonably priced...but most of all they are honest and friendly. Dave and his crew do the work right and they don't waste time or your money. They are very competent and work quickly saving you money but never do I get the feeling they are rushing a job. I am completely confident in the work they have done (this is the third time they have done work for me) and if I need an electrician, I will call D.C. Electric.

    Power Tech Electric
Everything went well as our biggest concern was the electricity not working correctly in the kitchen. Electrician showed up on time, and provided and excellent service. Even gave us options on what might possibly be wrong before correcting.

    DC Electric
The job went smoothly, according to plan, and surprisingly quickly, on the day of the installation.
DC Electric made an initial visit, to see the space I needed new lighting, to understand my needs and to provide suggestions. The consultant was helpful in explaining what was possible, and what would be most practical, given my budget.
On the day of the installation, the electrician who came needed very little guidance, worked very efficiently, and did the job exactly according to the plan.
The lighting has been a major asset to me, as it made it possible for me to set up a home office in the basement. Everything DC Electric installed is still working without a problem.
I found DC Electric to be very accommodating, knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. The work they did for me is quality work.

Years ago, out of ignorance, I mis-wired the three-way and four-way switches in my kitchen and hallway when I replaced them for purely cosmetic reasons.  I let this go with the intention of fixing them at a later point. Years passed.  I recently wanted to replace two battery operated smoke detectors and discovered there was wiring in the ceiling to supply them with power and even connect them so if one smoke detector goes off the other smoke detector would as well and their batteries would be for backup power during a power failure. I correctly wired the downstairs smoke detector but the upstairs smoke
    detector didnt get power.
I began asking our IT Manager at work about three-way switches and he immediately gave me the name and number for Howard Goldberg.  Normally, he would just tell me how to fix the problem myself.  I called Howard on a Tuesday and he came out the next day.  It took him about thirty minutes to diagnosis and solve the problems I had created by replacing the switches but wiring them exactly as they had been rather than correctly as the new switches required the red, white, and black wires to be connected differently.  Howard corrected all of this, checked all my wirings connections, re-installed the upstairs smoke detector, and checked my downstairs smoke detector.  He finished it off by fixing the three-way switches in the kitchen.
I first met Howard at work when he ran a new circuit in a wiring closet during the installation of fiber to the building.  Its an industrial wiring closet, so you need to know what youre doing.  The wiring rack is taller than I am.  So I have seen him work in a business and residential setting.
He stayed well over an hour at my house, giving me tips on wiring and the trades and making sure everything was working correctly.  Keep in mind, he drove all the way from Libertyville, IL to Kenosha, WI to take this job.
Definitely use him.  I am thrilled to have found him.  I will use him again for other projects.  If you are in a residential or business setting and you need electrical work done at an extremely fair price, get Howard.  My entire bill was $135.00.  He could have easily charged more and I would have been happy.  Ive found my new electrician.  If you need someone good, give him a call right away. Ive already told two people at my job who are going to ask him to do residential work.

    DC Electric
David and his team were consummate professionals in every regard. He responded quickly to our initial contact with him and made the process completely painless. On the day of the service work, not only did they show up on time, they even showed up ahead of schedule.
While at the house doing the work, David and his team were extremely friendly, courteous, and made every effort to guarantee our satisfaction with their work. They answered any questions we had and at no point did we ever feel like we were being "fed a line of BS" as you so often hear about with other service companies,
When complete, they cleaned up the areas where they worked and even disposed of the old fixtures so that we wouldn't have to  (Even better: They donate the old fixtures to Habitat for Humanity rather than reselling them or simply dumping them in a trash bin).
We would definitely recommend D.C. Electric again and they will always be our first call going forward for any electrical work we want done in our houses.

    Sparky's Electical Service
I called Sparky's on a Monday and they arranged to come out and give me a time and price quote on Friday. Jeff spent about twenty minutes assessing our needs, including installing three upstairs ceiling fans, changing light switches to dimmers, installing overhead lighting on our ground floor and looking into a major rewiring project in the basement. Due to our time scale and the prices quoted we went ahead with the ceiling fans and dimmer switches and booked Jeff to come out after the weekend. He arrived promptly with an assistant and set to work immediately. We had been quoted for four hours and he took just a little less than this. They were very quiet, which was fantastic as my four-month-old was napping at the time. As we had no fixtures already in they had to go into the attic, drill holes and re-wire our light switches. They covered the carpet and beds with sheets to collect dust and instead of replacing our outlet switches they just added a fan and light dimmer, which we love! We can now control the fan speed and light brightness from one switch, as well as our lamps. The price was a little more than expected but they were so efficient and polite that I would recommend them, as well as use them for our other projects next year.
