    Accurate Basement Repair
I was impressed with the professionalism, politeness, thoroughness,  and honesty of the serviceman, Bob and his associate. Bob was polite as he introduced himself and his associate; although, I do not recall her name at this time.  He immediately explained the process he would be following at this appointment.  We then went down to the basement and he made an evaluation of the water staining on the floor.  He asked many questions; appeared to be very knowledgeable and was quite thorough with his evaluation process.  I was pleasantly surprised at his honesty when he stated that I did not have a leakage problem, although I was certain the huge area of water staining on the floor had to be abnormal!  He took the time to explain how he came to his conclusion. Bob  also took the time to answer all my questions. He never made me feel as though he was in a hurry to leave.  He even brought to my attention two other unrelated issues I needed to address with a plumber. He also reassured me that even if another company tried to convince me I needed to have repair work done, his evaluation was accurate.  I felt confident in his conclusion.  Furthermore, even though he had addressed the reason for the service call, Bob asked if he and his associate could go around the outside foundation of the house to evaluate for any source of current or future water leakage issues. I was impressed that they went above and beyond what  I felt was required to address the reason for the service call.  He brought to my attention 1 minor issue outside which I was already aware of.  In addition, neither Bob,  nor his associate ever tried to mislead me in an effort to secure a contract for repairs!    So, in the end, I was pleasantly surprised at how much attention was given and  time was spent on a "free estimate" service call!
I was extremely impressed with every aspect of this service call and would not hesitate to use Accurate Basement Repair in the future!   Thank you, Bob and (your associate) for such a positive service call experience!

    Barth Mudjacking
We had Barth Mudjacking level a settled driveway. From quote to the actual work, the whole process was very smooth. The crew took time to explain what they were doing, did great work, and left no mess when they were done. We would gladly use Barth Mudjacking again in the future! With the harsh winter of 2013/2014, there was a bit of a delay in getting to our job, but they explained why their schedule was delayed, kept us informed of schedule changes, and did the work on time based on the quoted time for service. Their price was very fair, lower than the

    CRC Concrete Raising Corp
They honored the estimate price & discount from 6 months previous.  They did not require upfront payment.  They called in advance to schedule appointment.  It took them less than 1/2 hour to raise the 6 small sections of sidewalk that lead from our driveway to our front door step.  It had settled about 2+ inches.  They were able to raise the slabs without disturbing the adjacent flower beds & edging.  It took them much longer to clean up than to actually complete the work.  They carefully cleaned & patched the holes in the walk, as well as rinsing the debris in the grass, our drive and the sidewalk & street where they had parked their trucks.  After they left, you couldn't tell they had ever been there, which was good news for the neighbors, the street, etc.  They didn't even tell me they were leaving, they just left.  A couple days later, I got the bill in the mail.  It was for the exact cost of the estimate, no variations.  I called and made payment.  She was able to e-mail me my payment confirmation as well as a lien waiver.  Overall, everything went smoothly.  The only complaint I would have is that when they showed up, they were just going to get started.  They didn't ring the doorbell or announce that they were there.  I was at home, so I saw them drive up, and went out to say hello.  The crew was nice, but not terribly friendly.  It would have been nice for them to at least ring the bell & let the homeowner know that they were home.  When they left, they didn't even say good bye or let me know if there were any "instructions" like "wait 24 hours before walking" etc?  They also didn't even say anything about payment, so I just assumed that they would send a bill or something.  Overall, it was a good experience.

    New Image Remodeling, L.L.C.
New Image Remodeling did a wonderful job with our partial basement remodel! Calvin did a great job turning our unfinished basement into a beautiful and spacious playroom and wonderful half bath. He was professional, very knowledgeable, timely, and gave a detailed and accurate estimate prior to the work being done! We truly trusted and appreciated Calvin's suggestions as we initially discussed our project and throughout the remodeling process. New Image Remodeling LLC can certainly do it all and we appreciated not having to wait on subcontracted workers or companies to complete any part of the work that we were having done. We look forward to having the rest of our basement space completed by New Image Remodeling LLC and will most certainly call on them for our future home remodeling needs!

    A-Advanced United Waterproofing Inc
First, let me say that I feel the workmanship with repairing the basement, fixing the walls and drainage system was good.  My disappointment with this company stems from their willingness to handle and resolve a problem that came up regarding a building code violation with a portion of their work on my project. Unfortunately we did not find out about the building code problem until several months after the work was completed and when the home was being sold.  The city building inspector issued a non-compliance condition regarding the plumbing permit issued for a new sump pump installed as part of my basement repair.  In the city where I lived all sump pump discharges are required to be buried with an override value added to allow water to flow on the lawn in the event the underground system freezes in the winter.  This is the minimum code for all homes in my city.  My contract specified that the sump pump discharge would be vented outside the home just above grade.  This is not code compliant.  Had I known what the code was at the time I signed the contract, I would have questioned it but would have accepted the additional cost to bury the discharge line as part of this project.  However, I shouldn't have to know what the building codes are for this kind of work, I am not a basement repair contractor.  I would think that a contractor would know what the building codes are in an area they are doing work.  I would especially expect a contractor to know what the building codes are when they take out a building permit.  When trying to resolve this problem, the owner of A-Advanced United Waterproofing flatly refused to come back to the job site to see the problem, meet with the inspector to discuss a solution, stated to me that he did what was in the contract (even though it did not meet the building code) and said that he wasn't going to pay for any fix.  To make a very long story short I needed to hire a plumber to bury this sump pump discharge pipe at a considerable expense to me. Given the equipment and people A-Advanced had on my job site, the additional cost to bury this pipe would have been comparatively less.  What bothers me most about this is I remained loyal to hiring this company in the face of significant pressure from a competitor to take the job away from A-Advanced and give it to them.  I stood by them, so why can?t they stand by me?

If any of you plan to hire this company for any basement repair, please be aware that they will probably do good work but you better know what all the building codes are in detail and make sure that is all spelled out in the contract.  This company apparently only stands behind their work if it was done according to their contract and not whether it passes the building codes in your area.

Walter with B-Dry worked with me to schedule a time that was convenient for us for him to come out and inspect and give us an estimate. He showed up promptly, was courteous, and seemed very knowledgeable. He said he could not honestly recommend his waterproofing service for our situation. Instead he suggested that we improve our grading on the outside of the home. We would definitely contact B-Dry to handle the job in the future if we do need some more major structural basement repairs and waterproofing such as replacing the existing drain tiles. I understand that their system is guaranteed for the life of the home.
