FHorrible Town and country prices are super high. I tried for months to get my dog in to b spay before she got pregnant they wouldn’t help or were most costly than other places. Want to charge to do there exam instead of using the exam already done and again want me to pay for something that was already paid for. Now my service dog is pregnant and they won’t see us without charging us an arm and a leg.

DWhile in the office area speaking to the person working the phones and appointment desk, someone from the front parking lot brought in a small dog that had escaped from one of the outside play kennels in the back.
This was due to the dog being placed in an outside kennel that had a hole dug near the fence of that kennel.
Why is there a hole dug there? Most likely because the size of the outside kennel is not that large to run and play in. It is used simply for the dogs that need an outside area for elimination.
Why was that dog placed in the outside kennel that had the hole? I have no idea. There were plenty of empty outside kennels that did not have holes.
I was also told the entire kennel is in operation from 7 or 8am to 5pm every day. The animals are left over night for 14 to 15 hours.
I gasped at this knowledge and told them I had just finished potty training one of my dogs and this will reverse all of that as they will have no choice but to eliminate in the inside kennel over night. Not to mention they then will be sitting near it all night; if not stepping in it.
In reply to my gasp I was told they usually wound up cleaning some of the kennels every morning anyway so it didn't make much difference to the staff.
There were only 2 people on staff; and were trying to let the dogs out for elimination, give me a tour, answer the phones and run the front office, and also give a pet obedience training class for 1 dog. (not to forget the escapee from the back)
I saw cats boarded there as well in a crate smaller than you see at Petco. Do those cats ever get let out for exercise?
I'm thinking not since they were so busy.
This all could have been a bad day during the time the office is open.
I could not justify leaving my pet in that facility even for a night just based on the long over night hours and small outside kennel area.

FI will NEVER step foot in this vet again Maybe its because we are not regular clients at mishicot vet but my bf and I are appalled at the service we got from this vet. We got our female kitten jax spayed and declawed there (recommendation from an aquatance to go here)well she went through surgery, spent 2 nights in there. I picked her up and they just handed her to me and said here ya go (basically) they never talked to me about post care for her spay so I assumed they were dissolvable sutures. 4 days later we noticed she was t putting any pressure on her right paw so we called around to some green bay vets (where we live) and they said to bring her in so they could take a look so we did and they prescribed her pain meds and antibiotics and said it was very odd that our vet who did this procedure didnt give us any pain meds. I then asked this vet if her spay sutures were dissolvable, they werent. So when was mishicot gonna tell me I had to come back to get the sutures removed. I called mishicot and made an appointment for the removal. They said they sent us paperwork home that explained post opp care for the declaw and spay. I looked and low and behold the gave me 2 declaw post opp sheets instead of one of each so I did not know I had to come back for suture removal. Well we brought her back for the removal (here is where it gets pretty bad) the nurse calls my bf, jax and I into the room the nurse literally took jaxs by the scruff of her neck and flips her over not gentaly at all on her back and is wrestling with her to keep her on her back I have never herd these noises ever come out of a cat before they were horrible sad and painful. Jax peed all over the table because she was so worked up instead of stopping what you are doing to clean it up they continue to literally rub her in her pee still trying to get her on her back. At this point I am livid I leave the room my bf stays in there. He comes out to the car 10 mins later and says they continued to rub her in her pee and she ended up biting the vet so he forces a muzzle on her and then rips the sutures out he poked her with the scissors too cuz the towel they wrapped her in because she was full of pee had blood spots on it as well as pee. Plz tell me this is not how all vets do this It is inhumane and cruel. Give her some kind of medicine to relax her or be gentle with her sooth her dont just whip her on her back. I wish there was more I could do than write this review.

FBought three supposedly female dwarf hamsters, only to find out weeks later one of the hamsters purchased was actually a male. When we tried to return the male hamster the sales person was rude and refused service. The owner stood by watching and did nothing. We ended up going to a different establishment to purchase a new cage and accessories to house the male hamster separately from the females. While we like to patronize independent local establishments before going to big box stores, in this case the big box stores will get our business from now on.

ATHE GROOMERYI have two teddy bear pups. Kelly is fantastic with them! They always look perfectly groomed when they are done, and they are always happy to see her...as she is also happy to see them! Her demeanor is quite straightforward...but she is professional and extremely knowledgeable.- Janice B.

APetsmartThe price is a little higher. I recommend Jessica, Sarah and Rachel very highly. The only negative experience I've had is with Kandace. I don't like checking in or picking up my dog from her and I will never have my dog groomed by her again.- Rachel S.

APINES BOARDING KENNELWe have used this provider many times in the past, we have been very happy and pleased with the services. Our oldest dog loves going, she runs to both Mark and Barb when we drop off. They always kennel them together because they are little and are used to being with each other. They bathe them and clip their nails when we ask. The facility always smells so clean, no urine odor. We had tried someone else one time a long time ago and the smell was horrific. They have always treated our dogs like they are their own. One time when we kenneled they were redoing the floor in the kennel, they only had our dogs, so they took them into their home so they didn't smell the fumes or would get cold. We are very happy with them and continue to use them. A few time we were running late to pick them up, called and asked if would be ok to come out of the pick up or drop off window, they were very understanding. Have never had a problem, recommend them to anyone with animals.- Debbie B.

APET ZONE INNMy cat has always been a tyrant about his nails. I called Pet Zone Inn Tuesday evening and promptly received a call back the next morning, answering all my questions about their services. I took my cat in to their Grooming salon, located in a converted house in the westmont area. The building was quite nice and well kept. I was immediately greeted by a friendly man in blue scrubs who took my cat back to the grooming area. This was rather unsettling at first, not to be able to watch the grooming process, but within a few minutes my cat was back out, nicely trimmed nails ( not too short, no piercing the quick) and my cat seemed almost calmer and more relaxed coming out and on the short ride home than going in! I would definatly recommend Pet Zone Inn for Cat grooming. The staff was helpful, professional and attentive. The atmosphere was clean, classic and welcoming. The prices were also reasonable. I happily paid $10 to get my cat's claws clipped, as it can run up to $15 at the "chains". Great place!- Christina S.

AGROOMERYGreat! I've been able to get appointments in a reasonable timeframe. My dog has looked great, very happy with their quality. Price is more than reasonable. They usually finish in approx 2 1/2 to 3 hours. Best of all, I can tel they really like my dog, and she seems to (surprisingly) enjoy her time spent there.- Jennifer L.

AGROOMERYThey love my dog. My dog is very happy there, which is why we like them and they do a good job. They are very friendly and they are animal lovers, so it is hard not to like that.- Jennifer L.

BWags & Whiskers Pet Food-petAs new arrivals in La Crosse, we took our dog to be groomed here. The products that the store carries are higher end, and we assumed the grooming would be of a good quality. The staff of the store was very attentive and quite kind. The groomer is only available certain days of the week, and must be scheduled pretty far in advance. Services performed were more than adequate, but lacked the finished sense that we are used to. Unfortunately, it just wasn't the nicest cut. Price was comparable with the upper end of other stores, and not cheap by any means. Perhaps a second visit will yield a better cut. Also researching other options.- Lynette S.
