Schmit Bros Ford Service + Auto Repair
They didn’t charge us anything. We have been working with them for twenty or thirty years. It is a ford dealership and they do a nice job. I was personal friends with the owner of the company and that is probably the primary reason why did business with them.

    Community Automotive Repair
Initially, we were really pleased with them and then we discovered that things werent as level as they should be because every couple of months or son would come to our mechanic in our new area and we wanted him to check to make sure nothing else was wrong. We would show him receipts and he was surprised at the cost and informed us we were kind of being overcharged and the work needed to be done but it was not immediate. I felt in my experience we were up-sold and overcharged.

    Mark's Automotive
They are very honest.  I had some wheel bearings replaced and they misdiagnosed it.  They thought it was the right side and it was really the left so they replaced them both.  They weren't even going to charge me for the second one.  Of course, I paid for the part at least.  They are absolutely straight with you and very competitively priced.  They have really good service.

    Scotts Service Center
Overall, I have only good things to say about Scott's Service Center. They are professional and courteous, will get you in to have your car repaired as soon as possible, are available and helpful. They've performed numerous repairs on my car, which all worked out well and took care of the presenting problems. They are knowledgeable and fair. On a few different occasions, I requested replacements or repair to parts or tires, and they told me that I didn't need it. That is amazing for an auto repair place!

    Valvoline Instant Oil Change
The service was unbelievably slow, and after all was said and done, they didn't do anything correctly. There were four employees working on my vehicle at once. One was a trainee. The three other employees were not paying attention to anything the trainee was doing. They were doing a lot more socializing than actual work. As a result, several mistakes were made. At one point, the trainee told me to start the engine while the oil was still being changed, and the technician that was working under the vehicle shouted for me to stop, then reprimanded the trainee. After I left, I noticed huge oil stains in my driveway. Sure enough, the technicians did not secure the new oil filter properly, so the oil was leaking constantly. They also spilled fluids all over the engine block, and didn't bother to clean up after themselves. So, every time I took the car somewhere, I would notice the strong smell of burning coolant and transmission fluid, and see smoke coming from under the hood. I ended up having to take the car in to a family friend who owns a dealership. They had to do over $200 worth of additional maintenance to get the vehicle back in working order. I'm never going back to Valvoline again.

    Safelite AutoGlass
Made appointment (4-hour window 1 P.M. - 5 P.M.) on the Safelite/AGS web site two days in advance. A rep called the day of the appointment to ask if they could change the appt. from afternoon to morning. I said "yes, if you can work around my other appointments." Rep was very considerate and was able to schedule me for a specific time: 9:00. Was informed repair would take about 45 minutes. Tech was about 5 minutes early (perfect!) and was ready to go. Before starting he explained that there was a slight risk that the windshield would be cracked during the repair. He said that AGS would apply the cost of the repair to the cost of a new windshield should a crack happen during or after the repair. He was careful with my vehicle's paint and upholstery, allowed me to watch and explained in detail every step of the process. The repair turned out about like I expected - there is a flaw in the windshield where the bullseye was, but it's not prominent. More importantly, the windshield is now protected against cracking, which often happens eventually if a bullseye is left unrepaired. The whole repair took about 35 minutes. Before he left, the tech explained AGS's excellent warranty and gave me a sheet explaining the warranty. The tech was friendly throughout, and it was a pleasant visit. The price seemed a bit high compared with other similar services (based on conversations with friends), but I don't mind paying a little extra for an exceptionally professional service like that received. Several days after the repair AGS emailed me a short survey asking me to rate their performance, which impressed me. Overall, highly recommended!

    Andrew Toyota Scion
I purchased this truck new from Andrew and had it serviced there since purchase. Last year the truck's axle began to leak. After exhaustive testing Andrew determined that there was a leak in the axle housing underneath a welded-on bracket. It was very difficult to spot and the leak wouldn't occur when the truck was on a lift. The cost for repair was considerable, with new parts it would have been over $3000. I asked if they could install a used axle housing, given as the truck was so old. They agreed to do so and found a used axle housing but warned me that there would be no warranty whatsoever on the used part. They charged me around $1700 for this initial repair. Repairs complete, the truck seemed to be okay although I was finding mysterious dots of oil on my garage floor from time to time starting right after the repair. Although I'd cleaned the floor thoroughly after the first repair, I wrote it off as road oil or drips from oil changes. Several weeks later we put the truck up for sale. We got a ready buyer who paid cash (we sold it for over blue book, and I wish I'd asked for more!). But when he got it home he noticed drops on his driveway. The buyer asked a mechanic friend to look at it and they diagnosed the same problem I'd had with the other axle housing. I called Andrew on it and they reminded me there was no warranty on the part, but offered to talk with Toyota for me. They kept me updated and followed up to an extent that far exceeded my high expectations even for Andrew. Eventually they convinced Toyota to build a new axle housing in Japan and ship it to the US at no cost. Andrew agreed to install the axle and charge just for the installation cost and the cost of the few new parts that couldn't be transferred from the previous axle. Toyota even gave us their 1 year/12,000 mile new parts warranty! And Andrew agreed to hold the truck at the dealership for two days so my buyer could pick it up there, saving me a 40-mile round trip. This isn't the only story I could tell from our 17 years of experience with the Andrew dealership group. They are always polite and efficient when scheduling appointments, keep us up-to-date during any repair process and are very businesslike when handling estimates and taking payment. Once when I merely asked about a charge they hadn't called us about, they removed it from the bill. Andrew's prices are higher than competing non-dealership shops. But any time we've strayed to another shop (with the Honda or when we've been on the road) we've always come back realizing that we are paying a bit more for excellent, hassle-free care for our vehicles--it's well worth it. We like Andrew so much, in fact, that we have the minor service intervals for our Honda done there as well. Two years ago we recently moved about 20 miles from Andrew's location, but we continue to take our vehicles to Andrew.
