Countertop Installation reviews in Fitchburg

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • I have used Alberto and his crew twice and have been happy with the results. They are very professional and accommodating. They have been very flexible with our goofed up scheduling needs. Any concerns were addressed promptly and professionally.

  • Hiring Summit was a great pain-free experience. Jenny was very nice and professional about being available to help us find a granite countertop that met our style and budget. The installation process, despite a hiccup with the measurements of one piece, was awesome overall: the 2 installers worked very diligently, precisely, and professionally. What I liked most was how transparent they were, as they were happy to answer any questions so I understood what kitchen areas they did and did not have to affect, and they gave their own advice from past experience on customizations. Some hiccups are inevitable sometimes, but it was easy to get in contact with Jenny to schedule a time for them to make a correction. Overall, pretty happy with the job well done.

  • Caliber Custom Cabinetry did a fantastic job in our kitchen remodel. In less than a month, they completely removed the old kitchen down to the floor and reinstalled a brand new kitchen with beautiful cherry cabinets and new countertop, sink, appliances and electrical work. These cabinets and drawers are not just surface attractive, either. They front solid maple boxes with dovetail construction and soft-close doors and drawers. The design work of both Andy and Nicci Holtzen was a huge help and flawless in execution. If you are considering any remodel involving cabinetry, whether it be kitchen, bathroom, or other room, you would be foolish not to get a bid from this company. It was the best remodel of my life and my wife and I just celebrated our 52nd wedding anniversary--a period that includes a LOT of home remodeling in houses all over the United States.

  • I was very, very pleased with his work, although I wasn't as happy with his kitchen cabinet subcontractor. I don't believe he's using that person anymore. Andy is fair and a very dedicated worker. He's very good a communicating when there is a delay for some reason, which I really appreciated. I trusted him to be in my house even when I was not at home.

  • Mike walks you through the entire design process, material selection, various costs, and potential scheduling. Mike provided an initial estimate with options, and walked us through the selection of tile, flooring, and fixtures. We made all decisions in about a single three hour period. Based upon our choices, Mike provided a final estimate and potential starting dates. All this was done at no expense to us until the contract was signed. Mike and his sub-contractors started and finished within the estimated times. Remarkable workmanship and attention to detail by all.

  • Paul, and all of the folks at Blue Terra were absolute gentlemen. They make amazing cabinets and the finished product is a great thing to behold. I requested, and received local Wisconsin cherry wood cabinets, made to custom specifications. The cabinets have a soft close feature that makes for an extremely nice kitchen and holds a tremendously high personal value for me. Beyond cabinets, there were some project difficulties that stemmed from such a large effort. The overall responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are dropped to a B due to several challenges. Here are the big "Buts". 1. The project began in March of 2016, and wasn't finalized until September 2016. I expected a long project due to a full kitchen remodel with many complexities, but there were several unfortunate hold-ups which included the countertop contractor (Cambria - Not Blue Terra), and the hunt for a Painter (I wound up contracting my neighbor). 2. It was very difficult to get all teams to meet and agree on a single unified project list that provided a comprehensive picture of the required work. A general kitchen remodel checklist would have been tremendously helpful and it seemed impossible to know all major steps along the way without several conversations. 3. Division of responsibility was commonly misplaced, and several physical details were missed. Who does the drywall patching? Who does the initial sheetrock placement? The cabinet depth requires movement of a recessed can light. The number of drawer pulls was mis-ordered/mis-counted. Though these areas represented issues, this is only dropped to a B because Paul and his team regularly went above and beyond to correct the issue if it was present. Even if an issue took a bit of time to correct, it was always corrected. When I walked through the process with Paul, after the install, he took my feedback with professionalism and a high level of regard for improving his business for any future project. If I could do it all again, I definitely would.

  • This was a very good remodeling experience.  Mike was very responsive to our needs, walked us through the design process, and gave us a couple tips on where we could save cost.  When doing the work, Webster's worked fast, cleaned up daily, and did most of the job while we were out of town (a big plus, since this was our only bathroom).  There was a small area of bubbling paint on the ceiling that was missed during the initial job, and Mike came back to fix it as soon as we brought it up to him.  These guys were great to work with.

  • I can't say enough good things about this experience. Curt and Janean helped us design the shower and explained what kind of tubs would fit into the space. They also went tile shopping with me and helped me find an accent tile for the shower that would work with the existing tile accents over the vanity.
The whole project went seamlessly. I knew I was in good hands the first day when I watched Curt handing off the day's work to his employees and listened to how they communicated and confirmed their tasks. They are obviously professionals.
The best part, besides the precise tile work and gorgeous end result, is that I had a super weird and tight schedule and they went out of their way to get the job done exactly when I needed it to happen. This all occurred with good cheer and good ongoing communication. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

  • Nonn's has a beautiful showroom in Middleton and their designers are very helpful and friendly.  I felt like there were plenty of choices of tile and materials.  The prices were a little high, but not unexpectedly so.  The countertop stone that I originally wanted was not available by the time we were ready to install it and I had to pick a different one, but this has happened at other places and was not Nonn's fault.   I would definitely use this provider again if I were remodeling or building and am very happy with the results.

  • My husband and I are busy professionals with two boys.  We didn't have time to research every kitchen product. We just knew we wanted a workable, attractive and durable kitchen.  The design team helped us efficiently develop the kitchen design based upon our family priorities and select products and finishes to suit our needs.  They helped me quickly weigh the pro's and con's for selecting cabinets, floor finish, counter tops, sink, faucets and saved me hours of research.  The choices of finishes was so overwhelming to us.  They recommended affordable updates to consider for our home that I didn't think we could afford. All materials arrived on time and most importantly, everything stayed within our budget.
It was such a pleasure to work with this team.  There were several snafu's and timing issues about installing the cook top stove that was out of their control.  Each team member calmly discussed options when a problem came up.  Their professionalism and motivation to delight us with their service was evident.  We trust the team at Midwest Stone Source and will be using them again.
