    I'm writing this review because it I believe it is necessary to call Marshfield Clinic out on their excessive abuses. While I had Badgercare (Wisconsin's State provided health care) their services were adequate. However, after switching to their partnered Health Insurance provider Security Health, their prices and out of pocket costs skyrocketed. For a five minute visit with my psychologist to change my prescription, they charged me and my insurance $194 dollars. Of which only 30% was covered by Security Health. Recently, as of today (7/26/2016) I tried to contact them to have a prescription refill sent over to Walgreens. Not only did they refuse to help me accomplish this, but refused to even let me leave a voice mail to the prescription nurse to call me back and have the prescription sent out, in spite of the fact that I've done this dozens of times. It was also recently discovered that my mother has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a genetically inherited disease with a 50% chance of being passed on to her children, a.k.a. me. When I requested to have a genetic test done to determine if I have it or not (as it's classic symptoms do not necessarily manifest as prominently in men as it does in women) they scoffed at me and said I didn't need it. I had to request the test three times before they'd give me the referral. A referral that went unanswered by Marshfield Clinic and is a test that has yet to be done for me. Overall, Marshfield Clinic is an overpriced underwhelming medical services provider, which I would recommend not using. Their lack of empathy, unwillingness to provide reasonable prices for their services, and unilateral dismissal of patient concerns is not acceptable.

    Nursing care was wonderful. They didn't seem to be understaffed. The floor nurse and her superior visited daily to ask my evaluation of care level and competence and general conditions. Food was good. During admission a nurse incredibly removed an otherwise un-removable wedding ring.

    Their providers are all professional. I never had a bad experience with any of them. Their billing is pretty accurate; I have no issue with that. The staffs are very friendly and professional. The doctor's bedside manner is very good.

    The staff on the 5th floor were very kind, efficient, and caring. I ALSO gave them a copy of my H and P. However, NO corrections were ever made regarding my allergies.

    When the admitting physician called and said he had a lung transplant patient in the ER who needed a bed, and could I possibly go home, what should one do? What is the and quot;correctand quot; response? What is the safest? I got this bizarre call from the physician at 9pm and was discharged home at 10pm .

    I was still having diarrhea. I was still on IV's. My oral intake was less than minimal.

    I was FAR FROM ANY RECOVERY. I was still so sick that I was to see the physician the next day in his office.

    Upon obtaining copies of my emergency room discharge summary and hospital discharge summary, NEITHER one had my MEDICATION ALLERGIES LISTED despite my having handed out FOUR copies of my medical H and P.

    I would not recommend this hospital. I would NOT recommend this emergency room.

    I am STILL ill, and undergoing tests to see what the underlying cause is at this time. So my medical issues were not resolved.

    I can recommend somebody not to go to them. I saw the urologist there Dr. Henly and he was bad. He lied to me and he broke me. He did a surgery and didn't tell me what was going to happen. I've had undesirable satisfaction there. I'd been to the general manager of the clinic but I didn't get any help.

    They were excellent and provided good care. They sent me the papers prior to my due date, so everything was all set when I arrived. They food wasn���t bad and the staff was excellent. The billing was good. I would use them again if needed.

    The whole experience was great. From arriving to departing each person I met introduced themselves, what they had come into my room for or to do, they confirmed who I was and the procedure I was was there for. They even had me write on my foot myself that this is the one they were performing on. I was asked if I was warm, comfortable and if I needed anything. My family was informed of my outcome after the surgery and when to expect me out of the recovery room. After the surgery, I was asked if I would like to eat in the cafeteria or I could leave and take with me a meal of my choice. The food was good, the rooms clean and the people seamed happy to be there and work there. I plan to have the other foot surgery there as soon as my Dr. allows it.
