  • The insurance company personnel we had thru Millers was very grouchy and persistently sarcastic about the use of this car on the phone. We had taken excellent car of the used car, faithfully changed the oil according to their specifications, put a lot of money into it the past 2 years on things that broken down because of age. Miller was abrupt, accusing and then boastful  over the phone about what he was doing for us that he did not have to. Don't know what that was as we paid him cash for the things he had personally done on the car. 
    Overall the job was done very well and Mr Miller did work hard to get this done and we are quite happy with all that. Just the verbal accusations and negativity against us made the whole event distasteful. When picking up the car in person he was friendly to the person who had been driving the car.

  • We contacted Brady about a 2004 Buick rendezvous. We setup an appointment to check out the vehicle. We took the vehicle for a test drive and liked the sound of the engine and noticed the breaks were spongy. We decided we liked the car and talked to Brady about purchasing the vehicle. He said he knew the breaks needed to be done and would do them for $300. We could pick the car up on Friday. We shook hands. Came back on Friday to pick up the car and everything seemed great with it. Two weeks later we took a road trip 300 miles away and the brakes started smoking. We were driving down lake avenue in Duluth MN. And was pushing my foot all the way down trying to stop, luckily I was able to stop before an accident occurred. He had replaced the pads but left the roders which were like 50 grit sand paper. Because we were out of state we needed to get them done there. We paid $400 for the brakes and roders to be done properly. We also found out three warnings came up on the vehicle. Another $300 needing to be put into the vehicle. I know it's a used car but at least if you say your going to fix the brakes, do it right. I would never recommend anyone to buy a vehicle from them.

  • It went very well.  The price I was offered and the value of my tradein were very fair for a highly rated new car with outstanding gas mileage and an excellent warranty.  I wanted a smaller car and did not wish to pay about $1500 in repairs for my old car - that would be just the beginning of many likely future repairs.  It was out of warranty.  The purchase included free tire replacement if I performed regular service, e.g., oil changes, at the dealer.  Since I would do that anyway, the tire deal was a valuable extra.



    Many cars, including this one, did not come with a spare.  Instead, they include an "emergency" kit for refilling a flat tire or getting a free tow after a flat, I decided to purchase a full size spare.  I negotiated some extras with no extra cost:  proper installation of the spare, the appropriate jack, moulding along the doors to prevent nicks, and a cargo net in the trunk.  The car otherwise came equipped with all that I wanted.



    Negotiating with Ken Vance Motors is low key without very much haggling.  I have been a long term customer of this dealership and know the staff and ownership.  They know better than to start high in hopes that I wouldn't press too hard.



    I have been a long term customer (my last 6 cars) because their pricing is fair, tradeins are reasonable, and service outstanding.

  • The salesman was nice, not pushy. Very attentive to my daughter, a first time car buyer. We don't know too much about cars and They allowed her to take the vehicle for inspection to a third party before we purchased it. They really wanted us to be happy with our decision. It came with a 1 month/1000 mile limited warranty. Gave us a reasonable deal. They had it buffed and shiny for pick-up! They went over everything with her before she drove it away. They even put gas in the tank for her. We will return!

  • VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. My college age young adult daughter was looking to purchase her first car. We found a small SUV at Kocourek and offered to purchase it ONLY after our mechanic could look it over and ONLY if we still felt comfortable purchasing it after his inspection. I know little about cars and wanted someone I trusted, our mechanic, to have a look at it.  It was very exciting for my daughter - being her first car - and she had earned all of the $ herself for this big purchase!!! Kocourek took a day to go over the vehicle to prep it for the inspection. Our mechanic found something wrong with the headlight. It had been damaged and contained broken glass plus the lightbulb had been set in the headlight but it wasn't properly installed. One of the shocks was leaking. The mechanic also found alot of rust on the tracks that the back seat sits on inside the SUV. The Car Fax stated that it hadn't been reported as ever being in a flood but the rust concerned us. It was also a bit scratched up and had dirt marks in the interior. I had thought that since they had taken the time to clean it up it would be presented in better shape.  The rust was the biggest concern. We had looked at other SUVs of the same make, model and year and had not found rust. They offered to clear up the headlight and throw a shock in the vehicle for our mechanic to install. We decided to cancel the deal. Of course they tried to talk us out of our decision. They then said I need to pay for the shock because they had gone ahead and installed it...something they had not told me they were going to do so I said OK but then they returned and said no, I wouldn't have to pay for the shock.  What really bothered us was that they went after our mechanic!!!. They called him up and gave him a very hard time. Now wehave been told that if the mechanic wants to purchase parts from them for other work he needs to do that he must pay cash. My opinion is that this is very bad business. My daughter will never go back to any Kocourek dealership and will tell all of her college agefriends about this terrible experience. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to make a great impression on this first time buyer and she probably would have returned in the future. I will tell everyone I know too. BEWARE!!  And 5 days later the $200 that I put down on the vehicle still has not been returned....

  • Fairly well... Changed oil and filter. No none other problems after the inspection. Waiting room was uncomfortable. Now they have a new facility.
