Great. They were responsive from my initial inquiry right through the installation. The salesman followed up, which I appreciate, but was not overbearing. The installation went smoothly and was performed on time as scheduled and done professionally. I was very pleased with their service and, so far, the performance of the equipment they recommended.

When I called to schedule they told me that they had sold so many it would take about 6 weeks for them to perform the tune-up. The day before the service was to be performed, they called to say they were overbooked again and that they would need to reschedule out another 3 weeks. No apology or anything. I told them to cancel the request and I booked another contractor that was able to schedule the following week. I was really disappointed and I figured if this is how they handle a simple AC tune-up, then I would never hire them to perform a more expensive service.

Doug was prompt and very professional. I wanted to hang around so I could learn about the system and he explained everything every step of the way. He was extremely thorough and polite. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth in an AC tune-up.

The furnace was dirty and needed cleaning.  The a/c unit had a blown capacitor, so wasn't working.  He identified and fixed the problem.  In both cases, the repairman welcomed my observing his work and he explained what he was doing and why as he went.

When I called to schedule apointment I spoke with Frank who was very accomodating and flexible with his schedule.  He was very polite and thorough on the phone.  Frank came out to my house right on time and was followed by his crew who were also right on time.  The whole process was very easy and they are all very professional.  I stayed home to let them in and introduce them to our dogs and felt comfortable enough to leave them alone in the house.  When I came home from work everything was all cleaned up and no trace of them being there.
    Thanks!!

Tom was our service tech today.  He arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work.  He explained each step of his progress as he worked, in addition to engaging me in a lighthearted and fun discussion of sports events.  He explained his recommendations, and the cost and benefit of each before proceeding.  When he was finished, he went over a detailed checklist of each test he had performed and reassured me that all my cooling systems were ready for summer.

They were on time, professional, and cleaned up beautifully.  We took advantage of a deal at seasons' end knowing that we were close to having to replace inefficient furnaces in a 25+ year old home.

    Dave Perry Heating & Cooling
Scheduled fall furnace tune up and boiler tune up to include installing glycol for a bill of about $980.  Hot water immediately gone to whole house.  Technician came and got hot water on again.  Hot water kept going out over the next few weeks, technician came several times and reset the system to repair, and technician says he spoke with manufacturer's rep to go over problems we were having.  His recommendation, replace entire boiler and hot water holding tank for about $9,500.  I called installer of boiler and went over the problems we were having and told them how much glycol Dave Perry Heating and Cooling put in.  Installer said the system could not hold that much glycol and also offered to come out and check the system.  When installer checked the system, he also checked the glycol levels and found that it was insufficient to prevent freezing.  Therefore, the amount of glycol that Dave Perry charged me for and that the installer said was way more than the system could hold, was not even in the system.  Installer also found a clog in a valve which solved the problem of the hot water shutting down and wrote us a maintenance proposal the same day which included cleaning the system and checking it again, and then adding glycol to prevent freezing.  The boiler installer said the boiler system and hot water holding tank were sufficient and did not need to be replaced.  I made an appointment for them to come back to clean the system.  I called Dave Perry to tell them the results of this inspection including the insufficient glycol level.  I also forwarded the email proposal I received from the installer.  Dave Perry wanted to come out check the glycol levels themselves the following Monday morning, between appointments, with no specific time set, which I agreed to.  I waited, but they did not show up.  Late the next day, Tuesday, they left a message late that they hadn't been able to make it out.  The boiler installer showed up for his early morning appointment the next day, Wednesday, so Dave Perry never did come out to check anything.  We requested a refund of Dave Perry's $99.95 boiler tune up cost and the $667.05 cost for 15 gallons of glycol they said they added, but got no response.  Also - Dave Perry charged a heck of a lot more for the glycol than did the other company which charged $180 for 10 gallons.  All of this work was done between October and November of 2012.  I had emailed and left messages several times with no results.  My last attempt to contact them was 1/3/2013 and they never responded.

I contacted 4 different A/C companies and received bids from all four companies.  Because the guarantee on the Air Ease was a 12 year parts and labor and 10 year on the compressor compared to the typical 10/10/ and 1 year labor from other dealers, I elected to go with D & J.  This guarantee is not just a 3rd party guarantee but D & J backed as well.   All four dealers were highly rated in Angie's list so I wouldn't have had any problems choosing any of the 4 dealers.  I have had D & J do work for me in the past, installed a new high efficiency furnace a few years ago, so I was familiar with the work they did and was very satisfied with it.        The salesman Rick, happened to be the same person that had installed my furnace and he did an excellent job of giving me all the facts and figures I needed to make a decision.  He was happy to answer the questions that came up, even after he had given us the bid, such as questions about the guarantee and installation questions.  Any calls were quickly answered and answers were given promptly.  It helps when the salesman has been an installer because he can answer more complex questions.  He also made an effort to get me on the install list quickly because of the high heat warnings that were taking place at the time.  I signed the paper work on Monday and was scheduled for the install on Wednesday.     The installer, Bill, was supposed to arrive shortly after noon on Wednesday, however, since he had finished his other job early, he called and asked if it would be okay to come over early.  He arrived, introduced himself, asked me to take him to the basement and began work.  He had all the necessary panels pre-cut and ready for the install.  He removed the old equipment from the existing furnace, including the piping while he was evacuating the freon from the old unit.  Everything for the installation went smoothly, all the equipment was installed, an electrician had been pre-scheduled to come by and reinstall the electrical cables and box, and the installation was completed in around 4 hours.  The installer even told me that a little bit of the oil had spilled out of the old unit as he was carrying it by dolly to his truck and he cleaned it up.  After the installation, he cleaned up all the mess and loaded it into his truck.  He then took me around and showed me exactly what he had done, explaining exactly what everything was, both inside and out.  All and all, it was an excellent experience, both quickly and expertly done, and the house hadn't even heated up even though it was over 90 degrees outside.

    Rozga Plumbing & Heating Corp.
air cleaners.  Two men came and again checked outside and inside.  They told me that to recheck and clean the air conditioner system would cost less than a regular service call as they had a special on.  I told them to go ahead.  After inspecting the outside they showed me a large mouse nest and filthy housing that I had just paid Rozga to clean.  They came inside and again showed a dirty parts and a partially clogged drain.  I would not hire Rozga again.
