House Painting reviews in Delafield

    Empire Painting
Dans 2 man crew showed up right on time Friday morning, we talked about what was going to be done and verified with me what I had in mind and colors on the trim. Everything went very well, they worked start through the day without even taking a lunch break. I was very happy with the finished job. And I will be having them back when it is time to have the entire house painted.

    Infinity Exteriors LLC
My home is 48 years old and in western Waukesha County, Wisconsin. It's hard to say how many coats of paint/stain have been put on this house since it was constructed. No spot was worse than the framing around our garage door opening. The wood was worn and despite being freshly painted in October 2017, paint was already peeling off near the junction between the garage slab and the framing due to presence of water (rain/snow). I was finally sick and tired of seeing it look like that and made the decision something else had to be done. Back in 2014, I needed some roofing work done on the house due to a leak. I called in 3 different roofing companies: Over-the Top Roofing; Infinity Exteriors; and Integrity Roofing. All 3 companies had signs out in front of homes in our neighborhood they were working on at the time, and I called each one to see what their difference in materials and price would be. When all was said and done, Nick Morn of Infinity Exteriors offered me the best price, best materials, and quickest time to completing the job. In fact, he upgraded the quality of shingles used in the job. Infinity Exteriors operated with military precision, as all the materials were loaded on pallets and delivered to a turn-around in my back yard a week or so prior to the start of the job. It was a 2-day job and the work was done spectacularly and not a nail or piece of shingle was left behind. I liked Nick and Infinity so much that my son had Infinity Exteriors replace his entire roof and put aluminum siding on his house. I had Nick and Infinity to put additional insulation over the lower two ends of my home and will likely use them to do the upper middle space on my home. But, I digress. In the current work just completed, I e-mailed Nick Morn to see if he could come out and give me an updated quote on the garage door re-framing, as we had initially discussed it back in 2016. Nick was over within 4 days to take a look at what needed to be done and gave me an estimate. I signed on right away. Nick said the work could take place likely in late April or early May, despite it being considered a "small job". Much to my surprise, we got a call from an Infinity scheduler on April 12, 2018, to say another job had been pushed back due to illness of the customer and would it be OK if they started on our job on April 17. We were fine with that. The work was done by Brandon, the specialist in this kind of work. Brandon showed up with a huge Infinity pick-up truck and large trailer with his gear. He carefully tore down the old garage door framing and that was done in 20 minutes time. Then Brandon got out the LP Smartside lap siding to reframe the opening. While I have no background in this type of work, the LP Smartside siding looked like a composite material with a rich wood grain face and it had been processed so it wouldn't rot or likely suffer water damage. Nick had the foresight to have me give him exterior paint used to paint the old garage framing so the new siding could be pre-painted for Brandon to install. The new pieces were cut and meticulously nailed into place. Brandon then used a high-grade caulk to seal the bottom where the siding met the garage slab for additional water resistance. Once that was done, he put weatherstripping around the entire garage door opening to keep wind/weather out of the garage when the door was down. It didn't take him long to re-side the 3 support posts, one at our back door and 2 at the front door, with each post supporting a section of roof over each porch. Those were a dark brown color. Brandon had to touch up the paint on all the siding and the job wasn't completed until he was satisfied with the appearance. The job took Brandon about 8 hours to complete and he took no breaks. He cleaned up the job site and other than for some sawdust that got wet from an 8 inch snowstorm we suffered on April 15 and couldn't be swept up, one would ever know Brandon was even here. This was the 4th job I have had Infinity Exteriors do on my house, and I wouldn't consider letting anyone other than Infinity work on our place. In this type of business, I presume it is rare to find the combination of stability, competence, and retention of professional staff, quality of materials, quality of installation, timeliness at starting/completing the job, and price when it comes to home remodeling and repair. Infinity Exteriors has offered all of these to me in the work they have done for us in the past 4 years. Can't recommend Nick and Infinity Exteriors highly enough.

Infinity was one of five project bids - not the cheapest, but the only company that recognized the source of the problem and also found a solution to it.The project took ten weeks from signing the contract to completion due to proper measurements, manufacturing custom door and windows, matching paint colors and weather conditions conducive to installation. All staff were very responsive to our questions and concerns, but the installers [JR & Mark] were exceptional!

    Proud Precision Painters
I called them three times and emailed them twice. They have never replied back to me. Angie's List also tried to email and call them five times but they would not reply to Angie's List either. Angie's List refunded the money for the deal and I will never recommend Proud Precision Painters.

    Done Right Custom Painting
Not a great experience. Sean is unprofessional, unresponsive and does not follow through on finishing the job. He painted our exterior in 2014 and did not complete certain areas due to the presence of bees. He told me he would come back. Well it's now 2016 and after repeatedly telling me he would come back to finish the job, he now refuses to take calls and probably will not finish the job. He has some talented painters working for him, but I also know some who will not work with him because of how he conducts business. Also be wary because he is not insured. Do yourself a favor and hire another painting company. You'll be happy you did.

There's not enough room here to tell everyone how pleased I was with the service Dave and Dan provided painting the exterior of my home.  I have a very large, 100% cedar wood home and received numerous quotes from other contractors, which were priced literally from $6000 to $25,000.  Qual Tech's price was on the lower end of that spectrum, but with all of the "A" ratings and rave reviews, I couldn't resist giving them a try.  I have hired numerous contractors over the years and have seen pretty much everything from good to nightmarish, but NEVER have I hired a contractor that truly lived up to ever single "A" rating on Angies List!!

We had no idea how bad our home needed painting until they pressure washed the entire house, not missing an inch, and paint chips blew off everywhere, sometimes in sheets.  Dave and Dan were VERY CAREFUL to wait until all the wood was thoroughly dry before proceeding, and on rainy or humid days they made very good choices what would be in MY BEST INTEREST in long term success in keeping the paint on my house for years to come.  While scraping and priming, the guys came across an incredible amount of rotten wood, which was very disturbing on my newer 12 year old house, however, they showed me every single area big or small and made the proper recommendations to replace the wood or caulk it. In most situations I chose to replace it, and was BLOWN AWAY at the speed, precision and care they used to replace as much wood as I had.

I also put them in a very difficult situation, having 2 other contractors working on the exterior areas of my property at the same time, On almost a daily basis there was a conflict of who gets to work where, yet Dave and Dan just rolled with it, and did other areas instead of going home, like the other contractors did.  They gave me a timeframe to get the job done, yet despite about 50% more work than they bargained for, worked 10-12 hours a day, 6 days a week to get the job done on time.  They cleaned up every single paint chip DAILY and were always neat, clean, friendly, professional and yet still did an absolutely superb job, AND finished the job by their stated timeframe.

In the end, I did a thorough final search for touch-ups, yet walking around the house 3 times, could not find 1 single touch up.  These guys absolutely blew me away in all aspects of service and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys to paint your house, whether inside or out.  Thank you Dave and Dan for showing me that true professionals do exist, and don't have to cost the most.

    All About Walls
Tom is honestly the best contractor I've ever hired. He painted the entire exterior of my home two years ago. Tom did it in a few days, and it looks great!!! He also did the drywall in my finished basement. Tom's best qualities are that he is fast, and reasonably priced. He also installed a white picket fence on our lot that our neighbors constantly give us compliments on. My husband and I are building a house next year, and I told Tom he can do can do any part of it he is willing to do. I would recommend him to anyone. Hire Tom, and he will not disappoint you.

Very good job. Crew was here when they were scheduled everyday until job was finished.  Ryan was very punctual with updates to the scheduling and progress on the work being done.  We were very pleased with our choice of Infinity Painting.

    CertaPro Painters of Waukesha County
Poor experience. Total lack of communication from management. There was no contact made as far as start date.  They wanted to assume the original contract details had not changed after the color consult; rather than talking to the customer. I found their work crew lacked workmanship and integrity. Workers asked customer for gasoline to power their pressure washer. The patio doors were painted while closed; so they could not be opened. Down spouts were removed for painting. The downspouts were dented  and reinstalled poorly. Half the screws were lost and replaced with sloted screws. One gutter was damaged very badly; yet the work crew did not notify the home owner of the damage. Of course communication improved when they wanted payment.

We were very pleased with Qual Tech's performance on this job. We worked through David, the contact listed for the company on Angie's List. First, David was right on time for our initial appointment to discuss the project. He gave us a quote on the spot. The price charged was reasonable, we think, but we were not successful in getting quotes from other companies (because of no-shows...). Hence, we did not rate the price we were charged. Once we hired David for this work (early July), his company was able to get to it within a few weeks. There was one small problem with the initial paint job. Bubbles formed in a few spots. This was due apparently to an issue with the paint. We notified David about this, and he came back out the next day and rescraped and painted the problem areas. The deck looks quite good now.
