South Shore In Home Pet Care LLC
Elizabeth did a GREAT job! The cats where very well adjusted after a 4 day absence from us; she left us detailed notes for every day, and we came home to good looking plants, especially in the heat we had that week. She has sat for us before and has always done a wonderful job! I highly recommend her services!!

    Wisconsin Pet Care LLC

Three adorable pug-mixed pups, all a little naughty but lovable. Too much work to take them on our frequent camping trips. Enter Wisconsin Pet Care. Conscientious, caring, and thoughtful. They treat our "family" as their own with daily photos and updates while we are gone. I trust Wisconsin Pet Care completely and feel most fortunate to have found such a professional group of people to care for our dogs. We will continue to use their services in the future as there is no one who provides better care for our precious babies while we are away.

It has been going very, very well. They came for a meet-and-greet before the walking ever began. We met both walkers that would be taking care of our little guy and girl. They were professional and kind. Opening your home to strangers can be a nerve-racking but I immediately felt comfortable when they came over. The dogs love them and can't wait for their walks.

Jessica, the owner, is also great. We had a few questions about billing and our schedule and she was easily reached through e-mail and responded within a timely manner.

My favorite thing about the pet service is that you get updates for every walk. When they are done you get an e-mail that lets you know what time they arrived, left, any updates with the dogs, and cute pictures of the pups loving life.

They have even been helpful with referrals to dog trainers and tips for behavioral issues. Our youngest had issues pulling on the leash and they recommended an easy walk dog harness that has solved the pulling issue for our pup completely.

They are a great company with a great staff and they really care about the dogs. I couldn't be more pleased.

    Cudahy Veterinary Clinic
They did a good job.  I wasn't anticipating an overnight stay but I would assume that with the declawing they are starting to keep them over night now.  They are within a mile from my house.  As I'm handicapped I didn't want go to a place that was too far away.  I couldn't get references to another place so I just picked them out of the phone book and went there.  They took me right away and took all my cats right away.  I don't have a different price to compare it to so I would assume their prices are pretty normal.  They did a real good job.

This is a practice of older part-time vets. They are fine for routine vaccinations and well pet exams but seem to have difficulty with anything out of the box. If you have a problem on a day when your vet isn't there, the vet on duty is reluctant to help you. If you have any medical knowledge, and ask questions about any of their treatments, they are resentful. When our Chicago Road vet asked us not to come back after we complained to the office manager about the above incident, my wife was extremely upset. It turned out to be a good thing, however, We went to another veterinary clinic who solved our dogs problem in a very short time, and has given us wonderful care.

    Layton Animal Hospital
Layton Animal Hospital is simply incredible! The staff is the best that I have seen in the area and are willing to go the extra mile for their patients!! I recommend them to all my friends and coworkers which is something I usually don't do. The vets are very up to date and knowledgable with seemingly all issues we brought to them (we have two dogs/two cats). The ladies at the front desk are simply the best with being helpful and getting my loved ones in when needed!!

Dr. Nick and staff were great, especially since my dog is on the large side (187 lbs) and is very messy (drools a lot).  He was very thorough in his exam of our dog and in explaining all the details to me.  It's easy to tell he and his staff really care about their patients.  I highly recommend Brentwood Animal Hospital (Oak Creek, WI).

    EmBark Pet Spa
We had rescued a dog and he was shedding like crazy and needed cleaned up. They groomed and bathed him and did an excellent job. They exceeded our expectations and their prices were phenomenal for what we got. We will use them again in the future and would recommend them in the future.

Animal Hospital of South Milwaukee is very good. I have been using them for a couple of years now. Their facility is very good and clean. They work within your hours. You don't need an appointment to go and see them. They are very compassionate towards your pet. They are very knowledgeable. I will highly recommend them.

PLEASE READ UPDATE BELOW--I don't feel right changing ratings, but the doc I reviewed left, and things went way downhill at St. Francis after that. . .

I don't know about the other staff--we just worked with "Dr. Stephanie."  She was great with our dog, a lhuge and oving boy HATES vets.  I know dogs don't like going to the vet, but our dog freaks out, and since he is large and has extremely powerful hind legs, no one can keep him down.  All any vet has ever been able to do is sneak a needle in his rear to make him legal--no real exams or anything. We've never taken him to a vet who didn't take one look at him and put a muzzle on him.  The muzzle doesn't help with much--he kicks and bucks, but he's never bitten anyone.  Anyway, when Dr. Stephanie came in, she introduced herself, and we told her somewhat apologetically about our dog's anti-vet behavior (this, added to his phobia about having his feet touched, makes hima real joy for vets, I'm sure!).  Anyway, she talked to him, tried to give him a treat, which he refused, and then she said something like, "I don't think he's all that scared--he's just having a tantrum." She got down on the floor with him and pretty much body-blocked him against the wall.  Lickety split, she had the shots and blood tests done.  He was a bit indignant, but then again, she's the only vet who hasn't acted scared out of her gourd by him and who actually was successful in treating him.  She discovered that he had Lyme disease--probably because of our frequent hikes in the Kettle Moraine--and treated it. He's doing fine--she has not cured his anti-vetishness but he knows who's boss when he goes for an appointment, and will even be going to get his nails and teeth done soon.  Yay, Dr. Stephanie.  She was pleasant but matter-of-fact and did her job outstandingly well.

UPDATE 8/2015: It's been a while.  Dr. Stephanie left for practice in Franklin not too long after I wrote the first review, so St. Francis hasn't been able to take credit for her work for a long time.  The vet who replaced her was a self-described cat person who would not work with our dog at all and totally terrorized him by having the assistants trap him between a cage door and the wiring of the cage to give him his shots.  I was pretty angry when I found out. All the great progress we made with Dr. Stephanie was out the window after that. The dog I wrote about in the initial interview died of cancer, and I will always feel guilty about the terrible treatment he got at St. Francis.  He received great palliative care for the cancer at VCA Pahle, which is where I have also taken my new dog for the past couple of years.  He was recently mauled by another dog that attacked us while we were out walking.  Dr. Jewell took amazing care of him, although Dr. Brosky does most of his regular care.  We trust them both, and our dog does, too. He's almost back to normal.  Be very, very careful where you take your dogs for medical care.  People who are afraid of or dislike dogs have no business treating them.
