Dale is honest and fair. His prices are completely reasonable. His work is of high quality. He is very accommodating and just a genuinely good person. I've taken my van to him several times and the work is always good and affordable. I used to live closer to his shop and have since moved farther from that area, however because he does such a good job, I drive a few extra miles just to have him do the work. He's the only mechanic I completely trust to repair my van. I would highly recommend him!

After pulling into the service area I was "greeted" by a lukewarm representative who mumbled a few things, took my keys and said they would come get me in the waiting area when they were done. When I made the appointment they said it would take about an hour so I brought along my laptop to get some work done. TWO hours later the billing clerk asked what my name was, checked for my paper work but didn't find it. TWO AND A HALF hours, after the service workers went home for the day, she looked again and found my bill already"filed". She apologized and said she didn't know how long she had it. I asked for the inspection report usually provided with the oil change and she said there was none. Lukewarm, LONG wait (they went home while I waited), missing paper work and an expensive oil change!!! Not going back!!

I have a maintenance agreement with them. I paid for it when I bought the car. It was at a discount. I don’t know how much it cost, but it was reasonable. The workers were great. They did a nice job. My car was clean when I picked it up. They washed it. They asked me if I wanted it washed. I had just had it done that weekend and they don’t typically drive the cars there and I said no thanks on the wash since they don’t typically dry them. But he washed it and dried it so it was very nice. So that was kind of a little above and beyond what they normally provide.

We had a little problem with them. When we started off, they were pretty wonderful and genuine. As soon as we drove the car about 10 miles, it lost its entire steering yet that's what we took it there for. We had to wait a couple of days to get the car in. They needed to look at it for 2 more days and came up with the idea that it was something totally different from what they repaired of course, so that would be another $900. It was a nightmare for about a week until we took it somewhere else to get a second opinion. They told us that it did not need the part that they claimed it needed. The manager then called me and said they wanted all of their customers to be happy. He also said that I should take it in and they'd take care of it. I thought that that was great customer service. I took it back to them. It still kept taking longer. They told me to pick up a rental car because they knew we needed to work and they were going to have the car for longer. They said that they would pay for the rental car. We ended up paying half for the rental car, which we wouldn't have got to begin with unless they said they were going to pay for it. They put in the part we were told we didn't need and still wanted to charge us the labor for it. The niceness left my body, I melted and I lost it with him. He said he didn't want me badmouthing him around town so he told us to just take it. It was a lot of drama for a whole week. I will not be going back there. They didn't give the answers I wanted but they were responsive. They had a bit of trouble with punctuality. It started out great but didn't in the end.

I was told it would take 3-4 days.  It took 10 days.  During this time no one was able to tell me what was being done.  Upon picking up my car the inside was a mess, cubby between seats was ransacked - my phone charger missing.  I called several times with no return calls.  Then I spoke to Ewald himself - he promised to return my cable in 3 days.  There was no resolve.

I called Girad's about an issue I was having with my vehicle and asked if they could take a look at it. I brought it in later that day, they took it for a drive to see if they could hear what I was hearing, in which they did. They explained what the problem was, and charged me $20, something that was never mentioned over the phone or in person. The price they quoted me was very high ended up bringing my vehicle somewhere else and they fixed the problem for almost $300 less. However I must say their staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. If it wasn't for their high pricing I probably would of used them.

They are less than a mile from my house and they do a real good job.  Their prices are really reasonable compared to a dealer.  In fact I needed to have some work done and the dealer wanted to charge me over $1200 but their price was less than $500 to do the exact same thing.  I don't have to sit there all day.  They took my truck in right away, worked on it and did it really efficiently.  I was in and out of there in a short period of time and I really appreciated that too.  I probably would be seeing them in the spring.  I got a new insurance on my truck and to secure the insurance that I had I had to make sure that all the fluids were changed.

He’s really good. I had 4 points on the front and back that needed greased. He cleaned everything. For my car he does medium parts as far as quality part go.  I would only use him. He explains everything to you. He does all the work himself and he’s the owner. I would recommend him to anyone in the area.

Hi Angie's List! New member here! Figured I'd use today's experience for my first post. :)
I've had my WRX serviced here since I've owned it. Having a more difficult and demanding car to deal with, I wouldn't take it anywhere else. I'm at 150k miles going strong! I never feel like I'm pressured into any "upsells" but rather informed of maintenance that needs to be done at my mileage intervals when I stop in for routine service/oil changes. If I don't have the cash at the time, they understand and we schedule for when it works on *MY* schedule.
I've never had any issue with the quality of work by the mechanics, getting the car back dirty/fingerprinted, etc. A few times I've had odd things going on with the car. The technicians were more than happy to come out and speak with me directly, go on a test drive so I could point out the noise, then proceed to explain to me what it was before we even made it back to the shop! They're almost always right in their in car diagnosis ;)
The owner (Mike?) always talks to everyone in the waiting room if he happens to pass through and make sure we're comfortable and haven't been waiting too long. (I've seen him give a couple free oil changes given out to someone that mentioned they were there a bit longer than they had preferred)
Anyways, I'm a lifelong customer and will be in the foreseeable future. Hope you get the same experiences I've had!
