Ethun's Firewood Sales & Tree Removal
It was excellent. He kept in contact with me, let me know he was going to be stopping by. Gave me an estimate while at our property. I told him to proceed and he finished it all up in I believe under 2 hours. We were in a bind as we needed to get these cleared to continue getting the beds ready, I didn't mention that to him but I was really appreciative of the speedy service he provided. I also was impressed that he called me back after the job was done to see if everything was to my liking.
I know that we have a couple of more stumps to grind down in the future and we will call them again!

These guys came out and ripped up my lawn to get their equipment to the back yard. That would have been ok if they would have properly repaired the damage... They did not. It has been three years now and the rock wall is worse than ever. I have called repeatedly and am now preparing to take them to small claims court. They refuse to return calls and have not fixed the problem. The price would have been ok if they would have done the job, right in the middle of the bids.

Overall the project went very well. In hind site, I wish we had discussed resetting my old timbers used in the sidewalk for this project. Some of them were sunk into the ground over the years and where no longer at the proper level, but I made an assumption those would be reset and it did not happen. So that is really my fault for not clarifying this ahead of time. Other than that, the quality of the work and the end result met all expectations.
    Pros:
     - Nick is very personable and easy to work with.
     - There was a willingness to accommodate when I made decisions to make some last minute changes without price gouging.
     - The work was completed amazingly fast - one day for work and a few hours follow-up for sealing concrete and paving prep.
     - A very hard working crew of 6 men that worked like a well oiled machine until the task was complete. They all knew their roles.
     - To get the best job, the concrete was poured from 4 to 6 inches thick, depending on area and past problems with pavers.
     - They mix their own concrete and coloring is added as it is mixed throughout the mixture.
     - Not dependent on needing a large cement truck with chutes to carry concrete to an area as it was all done with wheel barrels.
     - A willingness to return on a Sunday morning to wash and seal concrete.
    Cons:
     - Our original date had to be moved back a couple of weeks, however, anyone that had a workload for the summer was behind     with all the rain that we had. The first date we set up over one month in advance, so I can understand the change.
     - Did not communicate very well. I saw him one morning and he said he was coming to start job that afternoon and did not show   up. He emailed me later that day and said he was bringing the crew the next day. He did not show up and emailed me later in the morning with excuse and said he would be out with a big crew the next day and that did happen. A bit frustrating, however, in the grand scheme of things the timing was close and the job got done by promised date. He told me that the bobcat work to prep for my old pavers we would do in the fall and a couple of days later (still in July) a man shows up with the bobcat. He had sent me an email that morning that I had not looked at, but fortunately I was home to show the bobcat operator what to do.
I really feel I got lots of work done for the money. I had pretty much decided to do the work myself of resetting my pavers in the timbers, until I got the bid from Earthscapes. Other bidders were leery of this job because one of the huge yews could not be accessed by tractor and had to be hand dug and removed. That was a time consuming job. Other bidders did not want to remove shrubs at all and they wanted to bring cement trucks in and realized they could not easily access the job. Earthscapes did it all quickly and efficiently. I almost gave an A experience rating because the cost and end product were the most important consideration to me, but the lack of communication and punctuality have to get some consideration. I am willing to put up with a little unresponsiveness and lack of punctuality if all is well that ends well. The price and quality of work met expectations. The only reason for B professionalism score, was Nick not bringing up that some of the timbers should have been reset to get the very best job, but I am still happy with the end result. Also, in my mind, professionalism also includes communication, which I already commented on. I contacted Nick, because I saw a large rock wall, cement patio, and garden work that Earthscapes completed for a friend of mine which looked really nice and my friend was pleased with the end product. I am glad I took his recommendation to contact Nick. I would certainly recommend Earthscapes to others and I will use them again if the need arises.

Very well.  They spent a lot of time in the planning stage - talking with my and my wife, exchanging ideas, etc.  There was very good communication throughout the process.  The guys were very professional and did a great job.

I was happy with them. I would have them back. They did the rock wall and made an error. They fixed the error promptly. Even though it was an entire season later when they discovered that it was leaking through, they were out within the day to schedule to fix it. I am really happy with the service. The work is done right. They stand behind the work.

They sent a 3 man crew with a bobcat with a posthole digger and all necessary supplies and equipment. Tore out the existing mailbox and set, leveled and cemented a mailbox post. They dug trenches from the house with shovels, put together very professional pvc drains in both trenches, filled them in, smoothed the soil, and then seeded the areas with grass seed and covered them with straw. The soil in my yard is pretty rocky, so the total job probably took 3+ hours and it was beginning to get pretty late in the day, but I was impressed that the guys stayed and took the time to do a very thorough and nice looking job.

    Accurate Tree Service LLC
They did the cutting/tree removal and stump grinding on two separate days, but it didn't really matter.  The man who cut the tree did a good job, including chipping all the wood and raking afterward, and except for a very low stump, there was no evidence he'd been there. He didn't disturb a bunch of hostas that were planted right around the trunk.  I didn't see the man who ground the stump a few days later, but he left a very nice bed that we planted w. grasses the next day, and no evidence that a tree had ever been there.  This company was the low bidder for the job, even before the 15% discount for Angies List members, so all in all, a very good job at a very good price.  I'll use them again if I need more tree work.

    KEYMAN LAWN CARE LLC
I found this company through Angies List. What I did was, I prepaid them for five lawn treatment services, which includes crabgrass preventer and early spring fertilizer. They give you a discount when you prepay them. They do a very good job and I am very pleased with them. Their price is very competitive. I have seen them work and they seem very professional. The information that they leave on what they have done is much more complete than other lawn services I have used. I would continue to use them in the future.

    DOCTER EVERGREENS
John did an excellent job. He is very knowledgeable and does a good job. He chipped and removed all the branches and cut up the downed tree into manageable sections. I asked him to leave the wood from the downed tree for a friend. He and his associate moved the wood to the curb. John does most of the trimming work by climbing the tree. No bucket/truck. This worked well for my trees and didn't destroy the lawn. The prices were reasonable. Because of his reasonable prices and excellent service, he is quite busy and it takes a while to actually perform the job. I wasn't in a hurry and it worked out great. I'd definitely use Docter's again.

The work went well. The initial inspection was done in late 2009, and the work was to be done before the end of the year. However, only part of it was completed before a major winter storm hit that shut this type of work down until spring. They completed the job in early spring, just as they said they would.
