    The following bold italicized text is from a letter I sent to Mr. Cady on 11-27-2015.  I have been awaiting a response while running the unit through the winter to see if it would increase my homes humidity, at least as well as the previous bypass model.  After the unit was installed Mr. Cady indicated that it could be run only in manual mode as there was no access to the outside off the home to connect the outdoor humidity sensor. His employee had been to my homes utility room on two separate occasions so why did he sell me an automatic modelat an inflated price, they couldn't install in an automatic mode?


    I first spoke to you on November 10, 2015 regarding the purchase and installation of a whole house bypass humidifier to replace my 24 year old General 1040 model which your employee, I believe his name was Gary, had checked and repaired once but the ���fix��� lasted only 2 days.  During our call you indicated that you had an Aprilaire unit in stock and that the price would be about $450 installed.  Since my online searches found the Model 700 costs around $260 retail and the Model 700M, which I apparently should have had installed because, as I understand, you set up my unit in the manual mode, costs around $230 retail.  The bypass version, Model 600M, is less than $150 retail.  I felt that your offer of $450 installed for the higher end model was reasonable even though a lower cost unit would have been satisfactory.

    I was quite surprised when I received your invoice #2656 with a total of $771.77.  I do realize that $70 of that amount was for the 10/31/2015 "repair" but the difference between $450 and $700 is $250, over 50% more than you estimated and I agreed to. 

    I appreciate that you did not charge for the additional time it took to complete the installation but your employee had seen the bypass humidifier and the dual furnace setup in my home on a previous visit and might have anticipated a problem beyond his experience. 

    The humidifier is apparently working adequately as the humidity in my home has been about 40% with the manually set control at 7.

    Through the winter the humidifier kept in house levels between 21% and 30% even when the outside humidity was 60% plus.  These values are far less than I was led to believe the new "automatic" unit would achieve and less than the literature indicates.   I have not heard anything from Mr. Cady relating to my overcharges, but he did cash my check quickly.  I would not recommend that anyone agree to have work done by Cady Plumbing without a signed written estimate.   I would suggest using a service such as Angies List and carefully reading the reviews to find a reputable company which honors their estimate and responds to customer concerns.

    They didn't show the 1st 2 days, then did the work when I was gone. 
    The windows leaked and they never came out to find out why. They also never returned my hop use key though they said twice they mailed it back.
    They yanked out all the cedar framing the windows and put in pine but didn't caulk it properly and eater leaked badly imnto the room.
    We recently had someone else find out why and they left a space about the inside of the windows and rain flowed in. We are hiring a new builder to fix what they did.
    I'm tired of being lied to. They also never got a building permit and the state says they don't have the proper license.

    Bayfield is famous for rude insensitive and unprofessional people like this who won't say they don't want to give you a bid, they lie to get you off the phone then ignore you.

    Not well, missed work dates twice in a  row then when I saw work they didn't match cedar building either inside or out and didn't paint as they agreed to do. Today I learned they are not licensed, the state changed licensing and they didn't keep up.
    They also have not responded the last 5 days I have contacted them. 
    Do yourself a favor and hire someone professional.

    These guys were great especially Tim. Gave excellent quote. Techs were on time, fast, and cleaned up after themselves. They setup and passed the inspection an hour after installing the boiler. I was most impressed by the way the company worked with me on my payment options and got the boiler in fast. With winter temps fast approaching they wanted to get that boiler in. They were not all about getting the money but were about protecting my family and getting the heat on. Their priority was on my family. Tim was the one that worked with and helped me. He had no problems answering questions when I bugged him on multiple occasions about the brand, type, and size of the boiler. You could not go wrong using these guys for the work you need done. Put your mind at rest and just call them. I will definitely be using this company in the future to service this boiler. Awesome job guys. Thank You.

    Since Carrier Construction build my home in 1990 and added a significant addition in 2000 I have utilized them for any and all  construction, remodeling, repair work which I have required.  I have agreed to being billed on a "Time and Materials" basis, often without any written agreement as I have found the owner, Greg Carrier, to be completely honest and to stand behind his work 100%.  For the above projects I was not at home for part of the time the construction occurred but was pleased with the result which exceeded my expectations and was within the estimated cost.

    I have recommended Carrier Construction to a number of my friends, in this area, over the years and those who have chosen to build have not been dissatisfied with any aspect of their construction projects.

    For the quote, he came to the house, asked a lot of questions, counted the number of vents and air returns (no other companies did that). Called on a Wednesday and came the next day and got everything completed and cleaned up before I got home from work. Very personable and knowledgeable. Gave me choices for which size of A/C I wanted. I would highly recommend RG Heating and A/C

Alan was up to date with us on the progress, caleld when he had suggestions that would work better than originally planned, work went smoothly, all work done in time stated. They said if I could wait until their fields were accessible, the cost would be greatly reduced since they wouldn't have to tank the contents to the sewage disposal facility.
