AGreen Spaces Landscaping LLCThe work was completed just as the COVID lockdown was kicking in, and we couldn't have been happier. We spent all summer sitting outside enjoying the patio, watching flowers bloom, growing things in the new raised bed, and BBQing on the deck. There were a few items that needed adjustment (it was a big project so expected), and they were great about getting back out to address them. The team was great, and when safety protocols needed to be introduced for a short time at the end that was done well. Would definitely use them again! Note price is only N/A because we don't have a good comparison - we liked the proposal and were happy with the results.- Krista C.

During the project we were updated along the way and flexibility was provided on the design as needed. ABluegrass Construction and DecksFirst off, we called quite a few places and Bluegrass was the only company to return our call within a couple of days. They promptly setup a estimate and Justin was out there on time, prepared and had all the knowledge we needed for questions. The company promptly sent us the estimate and we paid the first part of the job. The company setup a project date and we paid the first half with ease. The company then came out early due to a cancellation and finished the job in 2 days (with only 2 people). They also fixed our gate which was not required for the job. They demo’ed my old fence removing all debris and installed a beautiful new cedar pole in post fence. The installers were polite, professional and timely in their install. ARuiz Landscaping Services LLC.Our neighbor actually found and hired Ruiz landscaping to replace a fence that ran along the front of multiple properties. Our fence was the same design and not originally in scope for our neighbor’s project, but we decided to go in together with our neighbor on repairing all fencing. I can only imagine how complicated it can be to have multiple homeowners as clients and to manage multiple billing for the clients, but they did a fantastic, seamless job here. CI had the fence installed in summer of 2017. The project went well and looked great. I had 100' at 6' tall and 60' at 8' tall. In spring of 2018 I noticed one post of my 8' tall fence was clearly leaning. Big winds in January of 2021 and three posts were leaning significantly and I had to tie them to a tree to keep them from falling. Posts were fine, but the cement was being pulled out of the ground. Had to have the three posts replaced. I meaured the depth of the cement that Alki had put on the 8' posts. All three were 18". For an 8" post the minimum is 32", 1/3 of the night of the post above ground. That is 14" short of the recommended depth. No wonder they needed to be replaced. The quality of work above ground doesn't matter if the posts aren't anchored correctly. Hope the rest of the fence doesn't fall down.

AWe have used Hoffman's Landscaping for 3 projects over the past few years. Two of the projects involved significant work including building a curved retaining wall, two patios and rebuilding a deck using Trex composite. All of the craftsmanship has been excellent down to the fine details. We have only had one issue (debris in mulch that was spread around the house), and they were out the next day to fix the problem (pulled up all of the mulch and replaced with new). I would highly recommend Ron and his team for both the quality of their work and standing behind their work.

FWould not recommend. Really poor experience. I had seen the GuWi truck around my neighborhood so I wanted to have them come quote on my job. My house needed new gutters and also had some rotting on the existing fascia. I wanted to have new fascia installed where needed and then have the trim on the soffit and fascia repainted. GuWi was the only vendor who could take on all phases of the project and was competitive in their quote. I had a lot of trouble with getting clear communication as to what was happening with the project. Initially a crew came out to remove the old gutters and boards. This took about 3 weeks to do, which was longer than what the estimate given to me by the owner was. During this time, I had a front yard full of old gutters, nails, and other debris from the demo work. I have two small boys who get into everything so this was not optimal. New fascia and soffit boards were installed, however the larger soffit board directly under my front entry way was very poor quality, full of pits and knots. The crew that came to demo and eventually replace and prime the new fascia were spotty at best, showing up intermittently. I had to call GuWI several time to affirm that they were still working on the job. The crew did not wear masks (unless coming into my house to use the bathroom). There were also numerous cigarette butts left around my property. They left their tools out unsecured scattered around my patio over several days. The kicker was after priming the trim, they painted it the complete wrong color. The owner explained that this was on him as he had errantly communicated the wrong color (a dark gray instead of the white color my wife and I had specified in previous communications). I didn’t realize this was happening as the crew was working well into the dark (after around 4:30pm in November). After inspecting the work, the crew was also sloppy and took shortcuts, getting paint on brick areas of my home and primer overspray on my grill cover and patio, and several other areas. A new painter came onto the job who repainted the trim the correct color, however because the initial color was so dark, it was still showing through after one coat. Subsequently, the crew arrived to finally install the new gutters (and remove the old gutters) however there was no communication with me prior, and I had to point out to them that the trim still needed another coat prior to installing the gutters. The team decided to measure and cut the new gutters (but not install them) and left them in my front yard. It then took another call with the owner and another week before the painter could come back to do another coat. While the second painter did a better job than the first, crew, there were still areas where the dark gray was showing through or had been over sprayed. Also, because of the lighter paint color, the poor quality board used above the entry way was much more visible. The team finally came back to install the gutters, but installed the wrong downspouts (I had paid extra for upgraded downspouts). They had to return again to finish the installation and this occurred without any prior communication and around 8pm on a Friday night. After the install, I asked the new painter to try to touch up and fill in some areas, but much of it was out of his ability. There were also numerous materials left next to my garage (gutter off-cuts, old downspouts, spray paint cans, packaging refuse) that I had to ask to be removed after the work had been completed. Almost 2 months later and the new gutters and downspouts were finally installed and seem to work, but overall I was very disappointed with GuWi, the lack of project management oversight and communication, professionalism from the sub-contractors, and the lack of attention to detail on my job. The owner communicated that this had never happened to him on a project before, which didn’t leave me feeling any better or more satisfied with the project. I also paid the invoice on-time but subsequently received emails for weeks that I had not yet submitted payment. My wife had to email to ask them to stop. I would not recommend GuWi for any type of work if you value your time and/or your home’s appearance.

FI called and spoke with Larry to schedule an estimate for repairing my fence. He said he thought he could fit it in. He didn't call back with a date so I called him again, several days later. He said he'd be out the next day around 2PM. We waited and waited and no one ever showed up. Terrible service and zero professionalism.
