It was excellent. Riley did a great job. He was a very courteous, professional and helpful young man. He suggested a few things about my lighting layout I was probably not going to be happy with and was 100% correct. I did it the way he suggested and we couldn't be happier. I will use Switch and Riley again and would recommend this company to my family and friends without hesitation.

Office staff were very helpful and setup an appointment in a timely manner. The technician that came out was very friendly and had all the lights fixed in just a couple hours and explained to me how he fixed everything. The pricing was fair and the service was excellent.

The planned visit went very well. He was very prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and patient. After our initial visit he was prompt about returning my emails if I had any questions. He kept me in the loop about upcoming progress. He even followed up after everything was complete and functioning! I would recommend him to anyone!

I have an elderly renter that has trouble with her phone. The technician did not get in the unit asked me to have her call him when she was able to get the door open for him. Something went wrong and she called many times thinking something was wrong with her phone. I called the Hays office to re-schedule and the woman on the phone preferred to lecture me regarding calling the tech. (as he requested) and threaten to charge me fees instead of help me get the tech out to fix the lights for my renter. I had to hire someone else to get the lights back on.

Never got the work done. The woman on the phone, who is responsible for scheduling appointments, prefers to lecture you and threaten to charge you for house calls when the mistake is yours and also when it is theirs, rather than to courteously solve problems and get the electrician to your place. My renter is an elderly woman that has trouble using the phone and getting around, these folks were not flexible to work with the situation to get the woman her electricity back. She has been without lights, fridge and a stove for a week. I had to call someone else.

The installation of most of the lights went fine, but the installation of the bathroom fan was unprofessional and done incorrectly. After installation, the bathroom fan blew ceiling insulation all over the bathroom every time I turned it on. When I contacted the electrician, he informed me that he had skipped a step in the installation of the fan. He said he meant to do that last part, but hadn't. That's not a big help to me. When I hire a professional, I expect a professional job, and this wasn't it. What I don't want to have to do is take even more time off work so that the professional can come over and do what he was supposed to the first time.
He only came over and finished the job after I called Walla Walla Electric to complain about my fan blowing insulation.
The second issue I encountered was that the access to the crawl space is through my master closet. When the electrician came over to install the fan the first time, he climbed up into the ceiling without covering anything in the closet, or mentioning to me that he was going to need to go up into the crawl space so that I could cover or remove the clothes in the closet. In the process, my suits, sweaters, shirts and skirts were covered with insulation. It's everywhere. I've done my best to vacuum the closet and clothes, but three weeks later I'm still picking bits of insulation off everything.
I've used this contractor before and was generally pleased, but will not do so again.

    HAYS ELECTRIC
I am unhappy with the services provided as I found my contact with the company generally unprofessional.
Electricians left a mess in their work areas, including plaster chunks in my stairwell where the breaker panel was installed, and trash and bits of electrical insulation on the driveway and in the landscaping near where the service panel was installed. These were obvious bits of trash, and not something easily missed while cleaning up. They also borrowed a step ladder from the tenant in my basement suite while doing their work, which meant they went searching through his apartment for it. Finally, I noticed they had not glued the conduit outdoors or caulked it where it was going into the house, leaving about a quarter inch hole all around. This took several weeks to get remedied and the owner, Bob Hays, told me that his electricians were busy and would not be able to get to it right away. This was a very rude response, as I was concerned about water and/or insects getting into the house through this hole.

Update: Owner of company contacted me as I had sent them a list of my complaints with my payment for the service. They apologized and tried to make sure I was satisfied with their service. This call alone went a long way to making me feel better about the work, but still would have preferred not to have the problems in the first place.
