They did a great job overall and will use them again in the future. They arrived every day on time and worked very hard all day long. They communicated very well and always supplied exactly what they needed from me and when. The did quality work and I was proud to show off what they had done in our house. All of the changes they made blend well with existing construction so it doesn't look like "existing" and "new". To top it all off, they were super friendly and nice people to see every day while they were here.

Folks, listen: I honestly don't think there is a better painter than this guy. He went WAY above and beyond on doing the job RIGHT, much better than the last person who painted my house! He repaired siding, took care of a million nail holes where they put the siding on wrong, caulked around the windows that hadn't been done - an EXTREMELY professional job! The back of my house is about 4 stories high, and other painters didn't want to even try it. Pete Waagenaar did it with ease. I love Angie's list - that's how I found this guy, and that's how I'm able to HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to others. I can't imagine a better person for the job. I do

After inspecting my home to give me a bid, Mr. Rob emailed me the next day letting me know he was going to pass this job by, and recommended a couple of other painters.

Why would he pass up this job?  It's a 6,000 square foot home and obviously would be a good job!  BUT, the back side of it is 3 stories high with a sloping yard.  This would be a highly technical job, and, as he recently hired a new crew, he was concerned they wouldn't do the best job under these circumstances.  He didn't want less-than-extraordinary work associated with his name.

How HONEST is that??!!!  I was extremely impressed.

That tells me that he will only take a job he believes he will excel at.  Very impressive.

They came door to door. It is part of their curriculum on their college. We thought, well, we'll give the kids a chance.  They were supposed to originally have come out in July. They were late coming to the job. We just have a flat level, little two bedroom house.  They did do a fairly decent job and they did have to do some prep work and the prep work was good. I can't think of anything that was outstanding. It was the average paint job that they did but it was all the other stuff wrapped around it. They just were very annoying. They never communicated with you. You had to call 14 people to track them down to get an answer as to when they would come in. One guy walked out with the hardware in his pocket. The other guy fell off the ladder and into my beautiful big tree I had out here by the front door. Then we had to go around ourselves and remove tape that was still on heater ducts and things on the house and still had to pick up a couple of pieces of trash and stuff which I would have thought they would have cleaned up themselves. It was a good price and we got 3 estimates. I wouldn't recommend them.

The bidding was well done and they had the most through estimate/contract in terms of out lining prep work, associated minor repairs ,as well as the painting itself.

The painters were punctual and professional.

They did meticulous work with great care for a process that resulted in a fantastic final result.

Both my wife and I are very happy with the new appearance of our house.

Certa-Pro's office manager Stacy was very responsive, friendly and communicative, and worked hard to set up our small project quickly- we had a painter for our project in less than two days.  After that, however, we were less than impressed.  When the painter showed up, he brought in his boombox and started playing music without asking.  I work from home, and while the music really wasn't an issue, it would have been polite and professional for the painter to ask first.  Similarly, the painter just helped himself to our laundry room sink for cleaning his supplies, again without asking.  While that's the sink I would have had him use, it would have been expected that he would ask first- what if I had another sink in the house I would have preferred he use?
We left town right after the job was complete, and in looking at the project in different light after the paint had dried, we found several areas of inadequate application that we spent an hour touching up.  Lastly, two days after the project was complete, we opened up the two five gallon cans of paint we supplied to the painter for the project to find that he had lazily left a roller floating in each bucket, rather than wringing them out and taking him with him or throwing them away.  Again, more work for us that we shouldn't have had to do.
Based on previous reviews, I'm sure Certa-Pro does have some great painters under contract, but we sure didn't get one for our project, and will look elsewhere next time.

Exceptional quality from an exceptional crew! I have many years of painting experience having worked with my family's painting business as a young man. Just didn't want to do it again to my own house this time around as time is precious and valuable. They are still finishing up the trim today and from what they have done I am happy to give this report ahead of time. A two man crew has completely reformed our home and it looks beautiful and even a little unique now, but not out of place. We went from a drab green home with cream trim to a stunning darker blue, white trim including painting the gutters, with sharp looking khaki accents. They have been very professional and detail oriented. You are welcome to come and view our home if you are considering using CertaPro AT 14716 E 22 AVE, Spokane Valley. I highly recommend them without hesitation!  Be sure to use the highest grade of paint that Sherwin Williams makes though, as that is who they use for paint. The Emrald Paint is far superior in every way to the lesser grades and you will be much happier with the results!

Amazing quality, professionalism, value and completed on promised schedule.  We are extremely pleased and would  not hesitate in recommending Daughters Painting, or calling them for any future needs.

Contacted Ryan in May and we talked about the details of when to paint the house. We settled on Aug. 1, 2013 for the start and that it would take approx 2 weeks from start to finish. In late June he showed up at my house and said that he needed 2,700.00 as a down payment, which I payed on the spot with a check. Towards the end of July, I phoned him to verify that he would be at our house Aug. 1st to start work and he said that he had gotten behind on a couple of other houses. He said that he needed an extra week before he was able to start. He showed up on Aug. 13th to power wash the house, which took approx. 1.5 hours. After that it was really difficult to get a hold of him. Finally, he called to tell me that he had ear infections and that the doctor told him no going up ladders for 2 weeks, so another delay. The last week of Aug. I tried calling him a couple of times with no response. Finally, he called me Aug. 30th to inform me that he had to move to Arizona or New Mexico for his ears and that he would be leaving next day. He told me he needed 2 weeks to give me a refund on the $2700.00. On Sept. 15th I started calling him to see when he would be sending me my refund. I called every week for a month. One of the calls he did answer, but then acted like he didn't hear me on the other end, and hung up. I tried calling him back but only got his voice mail. Today is Oct. 21 and to date, Ryan has never even tried to contact me, and I am quite certain I will never see my $2700.00 again.

UPDATE 5/6/14 - On 5/1 I received a check from Ryan for reimbursement for the down payment. I had not received any communication from him since his call on Aug. 30, 2013. The check was accompanied by a letter explaining that he was out of state and that his computer crashed so he didn't have my contact info. Doesn't explain why he didn't respond to my many phone calls (all of which I left my phone number). I do not think Ryan handled this professionally. I still feel there is deceit about why he took so long to refund my money. I wish that I could trust him, because he really does do really good work.  Use caution if you decide to hire him.

Jeff arrived on time and also had an expert like himself to work with him. He gave us a written estimate which listed exactly what would be done and what was included. My husband had made cement bases and laid them prior to hiring anyone to lay the bricks.
Jeff took care to make sure my husband's bases were level but one was higher than the others. He corrected it so that the height of the brick bases would line up with the horizontal siding on the front of the house. We provided our own bricks that we had been hording. When he applied the mortar between the bricks, they were absolutely even and I saw no flaws. I think it was a couple of days later, when the mortar was set, he came back and acid washed the brick work. Then he was going to come back in two or three days to seal them. The bricks needed to be totally dry before sealing.  We had  about a week of on and off rain and finally sunshine so he let us know that he would be back in 3 or 4 days. We had so much rain and we wanted to be sure the bricks were dry.  He gave us a choice of gloss or non-gloss seal. we chose the non-gloss. Before he had done anything to the bricks, they looked dull and dirty.  Now they look great. The color looks rich. They match the chimney on our roof. He and his helper finished the whole job that day except of course the acid wash and sealant. It was hot the day they worked on the bricks and didn't take a break for lunch, which I think they should have. I brought out ice cold lemonade and Ice water for them. I also gave them some granola snacks when they left since they missed their lunch break. These guys are great!  I hope that when they are on another job and working in hot weather,
they will be offered a cold drinks.  These guys work really hard and with integrity.  I would hire them again, for sure!
