  He arrived on time and was really easy to talk to. He worked at a good pace, not too fast, not too slow. He caulked a back splash, installed a couple of light fixtures, installed a door handle, shower head. He really cared about the work he did. I am keeping his name on hand for all my future needs.

  Nathan did an excellent job both in terms of communication and the quality of work that was performed. He was always on time and did what he said he would do. His attention to detail was excellent and I feel sets him apart from a lot of his competition. Over the course of two and a half days he hung 10 doors and installed almost a 1000' of trim as well as installing all of the bathroom hardware, such as shower doors and cabinetry. His demeanor was courteous and professional and I had no problems leaving him at my house while I was working. The only thing that may be a problem for some folks is that he gets busy. I believe that my job was a month out on his schedule to find a block of time large enough to do the job. On the other hand, I was willing to wait to have Nathan do my work.

  Handyman Matters Of Spokane

  First contact was with Cindy via telephone.   She was friendly, professional and answered my questions.  She scheduled Scott to do the work. Scott called when he was on his way, and he arrived at precisely the time he was scheduled to be here.  I'm a senior citizen lady who gets a little anxious about having people doing work in my home with whom I'm unfamiliar.  Scott set me at ease very quickly.  He set about the work in a quick, efficient manner; was obviously concerned with keeping my cost in mind.  He was very appropriate, professional, and competent.    I'll definitely be adding some new things to my "to do" list and calling Handyman Matters to do the work again.  I will be requesting Scott now that I'm comfortable with him.

  Adair Paint and Remodel

  We have waited 25 years to find a contractor as good as Tim Adair.  He is 100% trustworthy (he has keys to our home) and his work is outstanding.  When you first meet, Tim will ask about your project and work with you on materials and finishes.  He knows the best people and places to go for great materials and is quite happy for you to seek them out for yourself (no contractor markups).  His no pressure advice on every aspect of our remodel(s) was invaluable.
  Tim is completely comfortable with every aspect of remodeling - plumbing, tiling, electrical, cabinet installation, lighting, granite etc.  In our kitchen remodel Tim matched the stains on our cabinets for a new larder and baseboards.  Everything matches, everything lines up and everything works.  Our kitchen designer mismeasured and ordered the wrong cabinets.  Tim was completely unfazed and worked with us and her to find a workaround and the result is fantastic.
  I recently had a serious accident that stopped my doing some finishing painting and Tim stepped in and worked his weekend so everything would be done.  His son even came and cut my grass!  Yes, he is that good.

  Handyman Matters Of Spokane

  Jeff came to my home and after observing and discussing what I wanted to have done, gave me a "ballpark" estimate, explaining that the final price would reflect the quality of the trim I selected.  He went to the hardware store and brought back 5 different trims he thought I might like. He explained their pros and cons. I selected one, and a final price was decided on.  He returned the samples, purchased the trim, and installed it.  He explained exactly what he was going to do, i.e. what glues he was using and how he was going to deal with irregular areas.  He did all the cutting outside and was careful to keep my rugs clean. He cleaned up after himself. The finished result was very professional looking and after 6 months, I have had no problems with it.

  You Don't Know Jack...of all Trades

  This contractor was scheduled to come to my house and do an estimate for work on my basement. He never showed up on the date he said he scheduled. I tried contacting him, but he didn't respond. I had someone else do the work.

  Dave came out promptly and gave me a same day estimate for the work I wanted done. He suggested putting a flourescent ceiling light in the kitchen rather than track lighting I was considering. His opinion was that it would provide more light.This was a great suggestion, as the fixture lighted up my entire work area in the kitchen. It also saved me money as I was going to purchase 3 track lights instead of the one flourescent fixture. I was also asked what grade of stainless steel sink I wanted and this was provided along with the new faucet. He neatly installed all 6 light fixtures I provided..
  Dave was very friendly and personable and the work proceeded as agreed on. The bathroom floor under the old tub needed leveling as floor was a bit bowed, but this delayed install of the shower pan only 1 day. He took great care with the bathroom painting. Once the old surround was out, walls need cleaning and repair and this was done so painting wound up looking great. The tile work in front of the shower looks original to the bathroom design and very well done.There was a bit of new vibration under the sink a day after the work was completed, so I asked Dave to take a look at it. This was corrected the day after I called.
  All debris removed from the house were taken away and Dave made sure I was satisfied with his work and cleanup. He also removed a wall mirror in the bathroom and fixed my leaky toilet for no charge.

  It was a joy to work with Darren and Alex from Hands for Hire.  They were recommended by the head of our PUD Association and several other residents.   When we get ready to finish the basement this fall, we will retain the services of Hands for Hire again.   There were no delays in completion of the work and we are very satisfied.
