Clark's Automotive did a great job! They've always treated us with respect and honesty. Best of all, they charged far less than other places would have for the same service. We love Clark's Automotive!

Was told the car just needed a tune up. That did not fix the problem and told another part was need. Took longer then they said it would. Way over charged on parts. $16ea for a spark plug time by 6 it really adds up.(normal price is $7ea) .  Week later light come on again with same codes as we looked into it found that the air filter was bad. So they never looked at it and that  was part of the problem.

.I doubt  their ability  to properly troubleshoot and the fact the price gouge on parts. I would not recommend them for anything other then oil changes and tire stuff.

I have used Autocraft for about 15 years and have always been satisfied. They have done all kinds of engine and suspension repairs, tune-ups, etc. on my pickup, minivan and 6 different cars. Friendly and knowledgable service and willing to explain things to me, my wife or our kids.

Engine had misfire causing transmission to shift erratically. Replaced spark plugs and one coil.  Also installed new fuel filter. Other shops quoted $800 to $1200. Had my vehicle fixed and back to me within 24 hours of my call for service.

Efficient and professional service.  This shop has loyalty points program which halved above price for todays service.  Have used this shop for 3-4 years.  They are always willing to discuss reason for repairs, and prioritize repairs; eg what might wait and for how long, and what should be done immediately.  Have had major work done several times, and never been dissatisfied.

Left pickup at appointed time.  shortly after leaving it there I received

one of many phone calls describing multiple problems, each one pushing price of repair up.  They were told to ignore growing list of problems and just diagnose original complaint.  When I arrived at agreed upon time for pickup of vehicle,  it was not ready.  I was given a list of problems that they wanted to fix for me.  I was able to get my rig returned after paying for the inspection and an invoiced repair "EGR valve, remove and replace".  The check engine lite was out at the time I took the vehicle.  The day following the check engine lite came back on and review with the OBD II scan tool confirmed the same problem I took it in for.  I then subsequently purchased a replacement EGR from the parts store for my truck and changed it myself.  It is now 2 weeks later and the check engine lite now remains off.  Doing my own valve change allowed me to discover that the original valve had not been removed and replaced. The list of additional defects from this shop:

1-Powersteering system needs fluid exchange-  was completed @ 102000miles as part of routine maintenance

2-Turbo intake bracket missing- examination reveals bracket in place

3-water possible leaking- no evidence of leak

4-body ground strap not connected- unable to find strap in question

5- Batteries are 450 CCA and need to be 800 CCA-  Batteries load checked at battery supplier and found to be in spec.

6- axle seal leaking right side- examination reveals no leak

7- left CV axle torn- presuming they meant CV joint boot torn- examination reveals not torn

8-valve covers leaking- no apparent leaks on examination

9- running lights inop- turned on from cab- all working fine

10-wipers are poor-  new blades had been installed 1 week prior to visit to this shop as part of routine maintenance

In short I was charged for services not provided and for parts not provided.  This was a very unsatisfactory service experience.

They are always so wonderful when I go in. They are very thorough with their inspections and give me all the details of what needs to be done, with little pressure to do anything, unless it is necessary for safety. They are always cheerful and remember me from previous visits. They are a little on the high side expense wise, but I am a firm believer in having make specific care for our cars, and they do such great work!

At the completion of the inspection, I was told that it looked like I was overdue for an oil change. (Indeed, I was overdue about 500 miles) I was also shown my coolant and was told that they were concerned that I had debris floating in it and I was asked if I had added anything to the coolant. (I had not)  After further assessment, I was told that my head gasket was leaking and that possibly coolant was both leaking out and that debris was also being sucked  in.  When I had seen the Subaru dealer 11 months previously, they had pointed out the leaking head gasket, but were not concerned at that ime as they did not see coolant, but suggested that I keep an eye on it.  Based on the dealer's previous observations, I believed Lloyd's was accurate in their assessment of my head gasket.  They took me into the garage to show me the problem and also identified that the transmission gasket was leaking.  They also told me that my tires were close to balding and that this problem should be addressed soon.  As I had never really liked the tires and was anticipating getting new tires with a more aggressive tread before this winter, I decided to go ahead and purchase new all weather tires.  Various tires, their pros and cons, and various price points were discussed with me and I selected a moderately priced set of 4 tires with an aggressive tread pattern.  As the front of the engine was removed to repair the head gasket, they also suggested I replace the timing belt. They explained that this was a little bit early, but would save me about $600 in labor costs later, (Labor costs are due to removing the engine front.)  They offered to rent me a car for 3 days, I agreed to the work, and it was completed on time. The day after I picked up the car, I felt a "thump" when the engine first turned over, so took the car back to be looked at.  It turned out to be a minor problem and easily fixed in 10 minutes.  I was very satisfied with their professionalism and thorough explanation of my inspection results. The car felt a little bit "doggy" and I thought it was just getting old at 80,000 miles, but it is running like brand new now!

We took our veh. in to get an estimate and to find out what was wrong and he was very upfront with everything. He had to order the parts so i went and picked up my veh. and too it back when the parts were in, we didnt have to pay anything until all the work was complete.
