He said it would be $150 for the part and it would be a flat $150 for labor. He quoted me for $300-$400. Two days later, he tried to charge me $1000. I went to his house because he wouldn't return my calls. He said he'd call me back and I waited until the next day. I went to his house, he asked me who the F I was. I told him I had a motor there and he told me to get the F off of his yard. That I was trespassing. He told his wife to call the police on me and he just kept screaming get the F off of my yard repeatedly so I left. He then, 4 hours later, his son called me letting me know he'd bring my motor by my house for $50. His son brought it by, and I told him how his dad treated me, and he said, "well we do have no trespassing signs."

They claimed each time that my tractor was in excellent working condition and that it was just my bad luck to get 3 bad belts in a row. Each time they charged me for diagnostics and a new belt! They even claimed they took it across the street to an abandoned home and tested it by mowing the yard. I checked the lot across the street and it has not been mowed in a very long time! After the 4th belt replacement and Ben telling me nothing is wrong with my mower, I performed my own inspection and found a nickel size rock in one of the pulleys! The rock is so big that the belt randomly jumps out of the groove and is torn in half under use and high RPM. The fact that it is so visible and obvious means they never actually looked for a fault and just kept charging me for belts! Their dishonesty is clear in this case! When I asked for a refund of the belts and failed service they have so far refused!!

    Follow up: 9/21/2014
I removed the rock myself and the tractor has not thrown a belt since. I am convinced the mechanic left the rock in place on purpose to generate future work.

After making a sign and picketing their store they finally refunded some but not all of the money I paid for the failed service.

The front office sales staff was extremely rude to me. One of the laughed at me while I stood on the sidewalk picketing their store. Another told me nothing I do or say will have an impact on their sales or maintenance departments.

I took my gas powered weed wacker in for service because i couldn't get it started. They took about 10 days to complete. When I picked it up they demonstrated how easility it would start. Took it home and went to use it 3 days later and it wouldn27t start. Took it back and they worked on it again but admitted they missed some parts Still won't start and I paid almost as much as a new unit costs

Was a hoot, since they recognized the make and model of the mower and how old it was right off, and appears in very good condition. They sold them back when I bought it. I was pretty sure I got it from them when they were known as Baldwin and I lived in a house with a smaller yard. We had a good conversation about it and what possibilities there were. I went with a riding mower about 25 years ago, and now back in a house with a small yard again. Don't need the rider anymore.

My husband took in our lawnmower because it wouldn't shut off. The staff was very courteous and friendly. They replaced the spark plugs, oil, air filter and sharpened the blade and as a final plus they pressure washed the entire mower. Great experience and would recommend this company.

It is kind of an interesting store. It used to be something else a long time ago and they have taken the space and combined with the other hardware people. The Agrishop Inc deals in all kinds of lawn mowing equipment and repair. They do a really good job. They are just a good all around shop for taking care of my lawn power equipment, weed eaters, edger's and stuff like that. They have always been very good on the work they have done and their prices are reasonable. I have an old wood chipper that I bought years ago. I wanted to see if they would take it and help me sell it. The man I talked to was really very nice and said that they don't worry about that type of chipper anymore because they can't get the parts for it. He just told me that I have an antique. He didn't waste my time and money.
