  • Scott showed up at the arranged time, and spent more than an hour going over details on switching out an electric tank to a natural gas tankless. He definitely showed that he had knowledge and experience on the subject. Even though I already had a contractor and was willing to pay for his time and expertise, he gave me the benefit of his knowledge free of charge and gave me a written bid saying he hoped that if I didn't accept his bid maybe in the future we could work together. Needless to say, I am impressed with his integrity and professionalism.

  • This is a very hard review to write. There were some highlights and some lowlights. We intentionally chose someone who WAS NOT the lowest bidder so as to ensure quality of work would be high and to pay enough so there would be schedule adherence. Another bidder came in substantially lower but had reviews that weren't as good as Mr. Taisey's.

-The job was supposed to take a week at most and Scott did a good job mobilizing immediately, however he only did the work in fits and starts and showed up late, or not at all an alarming amount of the time. The work took more than two weeks.

-The main parts of the job were of high quality. The flooring in the living room was master carpenter level. The retaining wall and drainage system was also top notch. The smaller tasks inside, such as drywall repair, replacing the trim and not making a mess, were completely unacceptable and I eventually fired him from this inside work and demanded he make haste with the exterior work.

-Scott is a very nice guy, and I like that he treats his employees well and doesn't cuss, spit, be unpleasant. I did not like that he initially offered to replace a toilet wax ring after a bunch of problems happened and then came back wanting a nominal amount of money after talking to his wife. That was nickel and diming and he completely blew an opportunity to make right on making a mess of our home and being a week over schedule. He did apologize, so that is something.

-Scott was late so often I knew more about his other job in King County, was more than I wanted to. He stretched himself too thin.

While I won't hire Scott again, and feel we paid too much, it is my opinion that provided he is given a large enough task to completely keep his crew busy, he will do a good job. He certainly knows his stuff and knows better. I really do think he is a good person and competent.

  • I contacted Rick from listing on Angies list. I am so thankful I did!

It was a so wonderful to work with such a professional, kind and honest contractor! From the very first phone contact to the end of our project there was no stress. Even though he had many jobs going at the same time , he made us feel that our job was number one. Somehow he was able to work on our job everyday with out going back and forth. He has a great crew.

I made the initial call and Rick phoned back the next day, made an appointment to come out and give estimate. He showed up right on time, and started right to work going over exactly what we wanted and took notes on every detail. He  was patient with us as we weren't quite sure what we did want, just had a vague idea. He came up with great ideas and also told us ways that we could save money.

Our job included, new ceramic floor tiles, cabinets, quartz countertops, back splash, appliances, new doors,  windows, new trim ,paint.

The crew would show up every single day at exactly the planned time. If they arrived a little early they would wait out in the truck until time so they wouldn't disturb us. Josh was great to work with . What a great craftsman. There wasn't one idea or suggestion that I had that he couldn't do! They were very tidy and at the end of the day would pick up, sweep and take away all the garbage. It didn't matter what the weather was, they were here working, never any excuses. We actually looked forward to them being around. Our project turned out on time, in budget and is absolutely beautiful.

We have  now decided to use them to do our bathroom. Rick has come up with great ideas and we are expecting to start on new project this month!

I would tell anyone who is even thinking of having work done in your home to give Rick and Josh a call.

  • Both my conversation with office rep and the technician was great.  The office rep got back to me right away.  He was able to get his technician out to my house within 2 hours.
The technician was right on time and friendly.  I really appreciate that he explained what needed to be done.  Because this was not a difficult fix and took less than 15 minutes to complete the base price of $75 was reduced to only $35.  I am writing a review because I am very impressed with their work ethics and customer service.
I am very glad that I do not have to take another day off work for fear that someone can just push my door open and walk right in.  I would definitely used Bayview again. Because they have a team their response time was quick as opposed to all the individual contractors I called that were booked and could only help me next week at the earliest.

  • over the years joe dennis has done many jobs at my home.....he refinished a basement ...installed a back deck ..new railings ect...he was always polite and i had met his wife when she came over occasionally.....i always felt safe because joe was a great family guy...and i trusted him....and still do....which is not the issue here..
the last situation he came over for was resolved easily ..it was my mistake...as i apologized that i was sorry to waste his time and was willing to pay him he said there was no charge........then proceeded to tell me i was an idiot.... i said i was going to mention that to his wife next time i saw her ....he then said "Oh well she thinks  you are an idiot also"....thanks joe....at least i am not an a****** like you...oh BTW the back deck you did is sagging badly...the railing you did is still so loose i will not lean on it...and i always paid you more than you deserved.....

i appreciated the call to apologize joe.......i was very hurt....i know you and katie think i am an idiot...because you said so.....that is not a compliment in my circle.....but you are not a bad guy...i always liked you and katie...i felt safe having you at my home but will not anymore....you do a very good job.....that is not the thing...so remember ..."you are the master of your unspoken words....once they are out of your mouth you are enslaved forever"      i wish you well

  • I am canceling because this service tried to charge me an extra $65.00 for traveling fees. This was not disclosed or I would never have signed up. It was advertised for $99. Not $99 plus travel fees. I just want a refund. I asked several questions in my email conversations, and they never responded to those questions.

  • Well.....
He did not clean up his messes, and at one point i brought him a broom to help out.
He did NOT ask for directions, so a towel bar is too low.   Another towel bar is not level.   He arrived 30 minutes early---8:30 instead of 9 am.   I guess that is better than being late, but i was still in bed when he arrived.
Otherwise the jobs are done, so that is helpful.

  • Scott had to deal with a difficult and demanding tenant.  He was very professional and went back to fix some concerns they had.   We were not able to fully review until the tenants vacated, but now that we have a full inspection of the work, he did a high quality job.  Thanks Scott!

  • The bid was a firm bid that included all materials , dates, cost. All work was done on time and correctly. It looks great and will not have to be redone. Contractor was very nice and didn't even let the dogs out of the gate. He is booked up so you may have to wait a while to get him to do your project. It is worth the wait. He is licensed bonded and insured and brings the paperwork to prove it. He also has good references and is not afraid to have you call them.
For the first time ever I can walk on my deck and not be afraid of it falling down.
    Outstanding!

  • He was very responsive and thorough in communicating through email. He was patient, as there were circumstances delaying our project request. We have no complaints or concerns at all, and are arranging for him to do another project for us. We will continue to hire Taisey Design as projects arise.
