    J & J Plumbing & Heating
The installation was completed as scheduled. They guaranteed the work for a year. We had a problem with a leak under the sink and they sent a crew out that day to fix it. We had the same problem again and again they sent a crew out the same day. They made an adjustment to the way the pipe coming from the garbage disposal connected to the pipe leading to the drain and we have had no problem since. They were always very helpful, courteous and professional!

Tom arrived, took one look at my faucet and told me I would be wasting my money having him repair the old faucet. He instructed me to go out and buy a Moen even a cheap Moen which I did/ He came back the next day and changed to faucet to the new faucet which was no easy job. The house had been a rental before I bought so the attachment to the sink was corroded and Tom had to file and saw to get the old faucet out. He came back a few days later to with sink hole covers to complete the job and did not ask me for payment until the job was completely finished. Even with all the work he had to do to get the old faucet out he did not over charge

    Five Star Plumbing
Everything went very well. The plumber checked out the problem and determined that the problem came from the faucet which was older and failing. He gave us 3-4 options on fixing the issue. Like most plumbing jobs, it can get expensive. Since Im very picky, the option we chose just happened to be the most expensive. In all, we were more than happy to pay the price for the repair and weve never had water pressure in all of the 28 years living in our home.

! Warning! Do not use this company to do any work for your home or business. The owner, Tom Kalin, is a liar, a cheat and a conman who grossly overcharges for any work he may do. He does not give an hourly rate before starting any work, a written bid, obtain permits if needed or guarantee his work. He repeatedly warned us not to call other companies because they would charge us thousands more and get permits at additional cost. He stated that he did not have to get permits because he is licensed with the Health Dept. However after doing some research I learned that he charges more than all the other companies I called and that he had no license, it had expired months earlier. He misrepresented himself as the company I had originally been referred to. Don't trust Google to get you to the right company. I Googled that company's name and Kalin's phone # appeared, the site did not give Kalin's company name. I called the number thinking I was contacting the other company. Kalin answered, did not identify himself or his business, just said "hello". I asked if he was the company I was trying to reach, he lied and answered "yes, that's me". I did not find out who he truly was until after I became increasingly suspicious and did a Reverse Directory search. According to the police this is "fraud by deception. He arrived at our house 2 days early when my elderly husband was very distracted with helping another contractor who was installing an internet dish in our back field. Kalin overcharged my husband $1035 for 10 min of hydrojetting our septic tank using inadequate equipment intended for indoor plumbing only. He NEVER told my husband what he intended to charge for the 10 min of fake hydrojetting. We were shocked to learn later that he had added $1035 to the down payment fee. We actually thought he either wouldn't charge us for this service or would prorate it and had included whatever it was in the quote. In our initial conversation he told me "he knew exactly what was wrong and that we did not need hyd rojetting". I feel he put on a show of hydrojetting to get more money out of us. (The average hourly rate in Spokane for this service is $275.) He then said hydrojetting wouldn't work and recommended an illegal $11,000 underground "honey-bucket" in our front yard that would only last 10 year's. He also said we were at high risk of having sewage backup into our home and needed to get the job done immediately. We later learned this was not true. This fee is more than it would cost to have your entire drainfield redone. My very distracted husband who is in the early stages of dementia was easily duped into giving Kalin his credit card for a 1/2 down payment. Kalin used his wife's business's (Mrs Kalin's Barn) Visa account to accept the payment. Later said we owed him a $900 Visa transaction fee. My husband clearly did not understand what Kalin proposed to do. Also, we usually get several bids before accepting a proposal and paying for anything. After I finally found out who he was, read poor reviews on his site, researched what he proposed to do I called him and cancelled the job. He was very agitated and refused to give us a refund. He harassed me with several phone calls and left a threatening text. He warned me not to write a bad review on his site and said "he knew how to take care of trouble makers like me". It's been 3 months and we still have not received our money back. Plus, I was very frightened about writing a bad review and did not do so until now. I feel obligated to warn the public about this company and recommend that you avoid him. Our experience with this company was HORRIBLE. But, he is probably having a good laugh because he still has our $6035!! I was hoping that if I did not write a poor review Kalin would return our money for the work he did not do. It made no difference. This guy is a a dishonest jerk.

    Owen's Plumbing
We've called Steve whenever we've required a plumber. Steve is always prompt at call backs, on-time (always), reasonably priced, and an excellent plumber. He replaced our water heater recently and completed the replacement within an hour and a half. He was prepared with everything needed for the replacement and left the work space spotlessly clean. Steve has earned our trust and confidence over the years. I'd contract with him with no reservations.

Excellent. It was clogged. He cleaned it and rearranged the logs and it puts out much more heat and the flames can go higher if we want them to. He was very professional, prompt and fixed in short timel We are all very grateful and impressed by the excellent job.

My experience was very good, though I thought the bill was a little high. I didn't have to clean up after Steve, he did it all himself. The company was good to deal with, and I made two payments which they were open to that. I would recommend him, he a great job for me.

    Above All Contracting
Steven was great. We had multiple bathrooms completely remodeled. The tile work was beautiful and they made sure everything was brought up to date in the process. In a couple of the bathrooms, prior renovations were not done correctly and they had to repair even more damage than originally thought and in one the floor actually needed reframed before it could be retiled. They were very communicative and let us know exactly what the costs would be along the way if they differed at all from the bid (that was very minimal and only when weird unforeseen issues came up) They stayed to the timeline he laid out at the very beginning. We were extremely pleased with all four rooms at the completion, so much so we hired them again to complete a bathroom remodel for my in-laws that is wrapping up now. Again, a beautiful remodel done in exactly the time he said. They are courteous, professional, and detailed. We'll definitely hire them in the future.

Plumbing in Spokane

When you have a leaking pipe in your Spokane home, you need to take action quickly. That leak can be more costly than you think. In fact, leaks in the average household lead to 10,000 gallons of water wasted every single day, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

As many as 10 percent of homes have leaks that lead to 90 gallons of wasted water every single day. This doesn't even touch the cost of water damage due to leaks. If you have a leak or other plumbing problem, you need the services of a Spokane plumbing professional right away. Angie's List wants to make it easy for you to find a reliable, trustworthy plumber.

How to Choose a Good Plumber in Spokane

Before hiring a plumber, ask to see what certifications they have. There are many different organizations that certify plumbers, but look for legitimate certification that indicates the plumbers are trained in their field. Also, look for proper insurance, which helps both you and the plumber.

Next, find out if the plumber is available for emergency service. Some plumbing problems can easily wait for normal business hours, but serious leaks, burst pipes, and similar problems need to be addressed quickly. If these problems happen in the middle of the night or over the weekend, you need service right away.

Finally, look for a Spokane plumber with good reviews. This is where Angie's List can help. Here you will find plumbers that other homeowners in the Spokane area have rated highly for excellent craftsmanship and customer service. And it's free to join and read reviews. With the help of one of these plumbers, you can be confident that your plumbing job will be done right.
