    The business refused to do a repair even though they gave me a written warranty that was allegedly good for 6 months. I made my complaint the day the water was hooked up to my fridge and it leaked all over. When I asked why they would not fix this under their warranty, the store manager said something like, "I've been here 20 years and we've never fixed something like that." This made no sense to me and when I asked for a better explanation of why my problem did not fit into their warranty, he had no other reply.

    ROI'S FURNITURE REFINISH
    I had started to remove 6 layers (1 latex, 5 oil-based) from a vintage wooden step stool (2 steps fold down from under the seat), but after 2 hours and half a can of paint remover that only resulted in less than a square foot of paint removed,  I gave up!  So I tried to find a place in Spokane that has chemical dipping of furniture, but there are no such services in the area.  I brought the vintage step stool into Roi's on a Monday afternoon.  By Tuesday afternoon he had finished stripping the step stool.  I picked it up Wed. afternoon.  I just need to complete the final stripping, sanding, staining and sealing.  I am so glad that he was able to complete the job in such a short time!  He is very friendly and has been at the same location since the 1970's.  I will definitely use Roi's services in the future.

    Fred's Appliance Spokane
    We visited three Freds locations to buy our 3 new appliances.  The salespeople were fantastic in all stores.  Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful.
    The prices seemed fair and when we agreed on a delivery date, the delivery details went very well, too.  Punctual, competent deliverers.
    Our new double wall ovens and new refrigerator are working perfectly.
    Our new Kitchen-Aid dishwasher has leaked since it was installed.  ...during every use.
    We called for repair and the repair people were friendly, and sent repairmen often.  I liked each one who came out, but they replaced the door sealer once,  made other adjustments each time.  And every time it still leaked.  They simply could not repair it.  Some told me it was a lemon.
    During this dishwasher hassle of more than a year,  Kitchen-Aid, Whirlpool Corporation has been contacted by me and Freds Repair at least 12 to 15 times to try to get a replacement dishwasher.
    Finally, I heard from Freds that "Whirlpool will never replace your dishwasher or any other appliance for anyone".They never do it.  They will tell us to order individual dishwasher parts "willy-nilly" and replace the parts until your 6 month extended warranty runs out".  I said that I do not want parts unrelated to the problem replaced.  So, I am left with a brand-new leaking dishwasher.
    I think that since Freds knows this "F" Whirlpool policy and contracts with them, Freds should replace the brand-new dishwasher.
    Since Freds will not replace it either, they earn an F for their policy.

    WALKERS FURNITURE
    The mattress building is located across from the main building. Once we figured that out we walked there. No one was in the building so we started looking around (my elderly mother and I). After a number of minutes. A saleswoman arrived, said nothing and went behind a counter. Since we had questions, we asked her. At first she just spoke from behind the counter and had to be asked multiple questions in order to get basic info such as where the prices were located and which ones were on sale. She conveyed a tone of annoyance throughout the time we were there despite our attempts at friendliness. We grew tired of feeling that we were inconveniencing her. So we went somewhere else where we actually ended up spending more money. We won't be returning again to Walker's.

    Initial contact on phone provided the info I needed and an estimate that turned out to be right on the mark. The lead time was two weeks but I was told I could drop it off at the shop any time so it would be there if they were able to fit it in. They were, and I picked it up a week earlier than the estimated date. Looks good.

    Three young men showed up and moved a very heavy older piano from my parent's basement  to my sister's trailer.  They were very professional and conscientious.  They only had about 1 1/2" of clearance between railings up the steps and never touched them on the way up.  I would highly recommend them if you need a piano moved.

    He. Spoke like he knew what ha was doing. But he did not fix my clock. I had to take it back twice because it quit once I got it home. I decided not to take it back for a third attempt. I too it to another clock repair and had it repaired. The man at Spokane Clock bent some of the fragile parts of the clock's mechanisms trying to force them into position.
    I will never use this clock repair shop again and I urge everyone else to avoid it.

    Their primary business is repair for furniture stores so the personal repair business is secondary. Best not to be in a hurry but I would guess if there was a need for speed, they would be responsive. At least they would be upfront about the timeline.
