Garage Building reviews in Spokane Valley

    Acuity Construction and Design LLC
We hired Gary to remodel the bathroom and install a custom shower. After a year we noticed tile cracking and popping off the shower floor. (because of his professionalism w/another bathroom we did not contact him for this, both bathrooms were "completed" before any issues were apparent.) While trying to investigate the problem, I went behind the shower wall (the wall is open in the utility room.) and stuck my hand between the membrane and sheetrock, it was very wet. In order to prevent mildew we demolished the very bottom of the shower wall. This is what we found. Gary installed the membrane for the custom pan, incorrectly, he used the wrong product to create the pan, he installed a drain for a fiberglass pan, not a custom pan. The drain is not level. He installed the sheetrock to the floor of the pan, which is incorrect. So this is what was happening, the wrong drain didn't allow any extra water that didn't go down the drain to seep out. The water backed up in the pan and eventually was being soaked up the drywall. I have photos and I have tried to contact Gary w/ no response. I now have to file a lawsuit in superior court to attach his bond per WA state regulation. I asked for a bathroom and got a petri dish.

    kwik insulation and construction
Fabulously! They were able to start our job within days of contacting them. They arrived and completed the work promptly and professionally! They cleaned up (spray insulation can be messy) and did not leave anything behind. Mike and Ken are both very knowledgeable about the products they use and make suggestions as to how I, the homeowner, can maximize my budget, getting the most for my money. They had to return 2 days later (as we were told) to complete the second product installation. We had both open and closed cell insulation used for both times they insulated. We are already looking to next spring when we hope to have our shop insulated.

    BULLDOG CONTRACTORS, INC.
Larry and Jeff were extremely responsive and great to work with. They did what they said they would, when they said it. The price was great. Unfortunately, due to the inability to get the permit for the building we wanted, they were not able to fulfil the job. I would definitely work with them again and was very disappointed that we couldn't use them.

    Action Construction LLC
The quality of Action Construction is excellent. This is the second time I used this contractor because of that quality and attention to detail. The contract was set for a 6 week construction period, even though at the outset Terry said it shouldn't take more than 4 weeks. We were fine with a 6 week construction time, and knowing the quality, accepted that. They were almost a week late getting started due to not having the permits. The garage progressed quite well, however there seemed to be a disconnect in getting all of the concrete poured. Several days that would have been perfect for pouring, no one from Action showed up. Then we had rain for a week and had to wait for the last pour. Weather is not their fault, but the window of opportunity was missed more than once when weather was not a factor. We realize that they may have had more jobs going, but that was never communicated to us, nor were we told when they would - or would not - be there to work.
We did add some work to the job - painting the inside of the garage on completion and pouring the concrete to the street, which added 2 extra pours. We initially thought the driveway would go all the way to the street, but discovered that was not part of the plan. Terry assured us this additional work would take about 2 extra days. He didn't request any sort of change order for the extra work. Long story short, the garage and driveway was completed 3 days after the contract end date. The office was still not even half way completed. At one week past the contract end date, and after not showing up for three days, and no communication from them, we contacted Action Construction and told them to collect their tools as they were done working for us. We decided we could no longer live in the chaos of having things all over the place while waiting for them to show up and wondering when they would finish the job. I have no doubt that Terry would have finished had we let him. But the lack of communication and the failure to show up for at least 9 days during the contract period was simply more than we could live with. Action Construction rarely got to the job site before 9:30 a.m. and all but one inspection was handled by us because Action wasn't here to do it. We let the electricians in each time they were here because, again, Action wasn't here to let them in even though Action was responsible for the subcontractors.
Again, the quality of Action Construction is exceptional. And had we lived in a larger house where the mess and chaos were not so noticeable, it might have been different. But we communicated several times that it was really hard to deal with the constant mess and everything being boxed and stored. (Our home is less than 1,000 sq. ft. per level) There just never seemed to be a sense of urgency in completing the job and the communication was terrible. If time and space were not a factor, I would definitely use Action Construction again. But, because we asked them to leave, I suspect they would not work for us again.

    Town and Country Builders Inc
We were looking to build and we choose 2 look at 2 builders.
    Town and Country and another.
At first the experience was good until we choose the other contractor.  At
that point Les got aggressive on the phone.  The sales tactics are a
bit shady and we saved close to $10,000 by going with the other
contractor, who is also rated on Angies List.
Love Angies list ... but bad experience with Town and Country.
Would not use and would not recommend them.

    Elite Construction & Remodeling
In building our house, the price was very reasonable, the quality was excellent and the job was done on time. Sergey was very flexible and patient with us. We changed our minds several times about finishing details on the house and he never made use feel like it was an issue. He also allowed us the flexibility of choosing our own fixtures and other details or providing us with his recommendations. When each phase of the project was completed, he made sure the area was cleaned up and safe for us and our kids as we liked to visit the building site regularly during the building process. His attention to detail and to our specific needs was exceptional. Years later we still call him with an occasional question and he is always happy to answer our question, often dropping by to give advice or to help us. More recently we decided to add some cabinetry to our house.  We needed the cabinets to match some of our existing furniture. Our experience with these projects was the same - beautiful custom cabinets at a very reasonable price delivered on time as promised.  I would highly recommend Sergey Stefoglo and Elite Construction for building, remodeling, tile work and cabinets.

    Town and Country Builders Inc
They came in, gave us an estimate, and built it from the ground up.  They did a great job. It was a two story garage. They were very efficient.  They scheduled and got the job done.  It was great.  I have no complaints about them.  It was done very smoothly. You get what you pay for.  They don't build cheap buildings.  I would not give them an A on price.  They are expensive.  People who worry about price get what they pay for.

He came out and looked at things. He was going to have to come and completely rebuild the roof but it is not in the list right now. I haven’t heard from him since. I am going to buy a big bucket of that silver that I used before and patch it.  I am going to back to Thailand and I don’t have much time to play with it. He was helpful and gave me a lot of ideas. I think he was the only one who was posted and bothered.  I asked him to give me a bid to put the roof on it and it wasn’t up to code and it had to be completely taken down. He spent a couple of hours here but I never heard back from him. He was a nice guy. I think he was capable but I was just waiting for the bid to tell me how much it was. I was very impressed about everything about him and his knowledge but I just didn’t get a quote. It might be that he doesn’t do little repair jobs or something. He might be busy. He came in him the same day. His professionalism might have been better if he had given me the quote.

They did great work. The installers did the work very quickly, were very professional, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves.
