My repairman was Stanley. Knowledgable and friendly. I should mention: before I had Stanley here, I had a Sears repairman who said the refrigerator problem was not fixable - he charged me $110 for doing nothing. I thought he was "mistaken" (put your own phrase in there). I took a picture (attached to this review) of the broken line and took it to Jeffreys (recommended by local Fred's Appliance). They took a look at the issue and said "No problem." So, Stanley came out, looked at the problem and said he needed a better water line than what he brought with him that day. So, he left to order the correct line and came back about 4 days later. He replaced the water line with new stuff and turned on the water. Another leak appeared at the top of the fridge. He took off a hinge cover and immediately fixed the other leak (note that this fridge was new to me but purchased used). With both visits, total time was about 40 min. Well done and I am happy with the result.

Jerry came to my house the day after I called him. He was early. He knew exactly what needed to be done and immediately set about doing it. 40 years experience after all. He was very professional and had things done before I knew what was happening! Drove all the way from his shop on North Monroe, fixed 4 appliances and charged me $50. The first repair shop I called, the "big guy with lots of great reviews" will charge you to give you an estimate on what they will charge you. $69 for the first item to be estimated, then $25 for each item after that to be estimated. So I would have had to pay them $169 to find out how much they were going to charge me for repairs?? I asked the kind woman, "So, let me get this straight, you will charge me a maximum of $69 or a minimum of $25 just to tell me how much you will charge me to change 3 feet of dryer venting?" Her reply? "Yes" Do yourself a favor, call Jerry. Not only is he great at what he does, he is a very good guy. Great work. Great price. Fast service.

They did a very good job. For awhile, it did okay but then it started back again not wringing the clothes out. I need to call them back to fix it again. The worker was very polite. I thought he was qualified and did a good job. I would probably have him come back and fix it again if I could find the number. I think I would use him again because he would be more familiar with what he did.

    ABC Appliance Service
Maytag authorized service provider, the only one that is listed on the website for Spokane, even though there are others available. They charged me $79.30 for a service call just to diagnose the problem. No testing was done & the serviceman they sent had to call a tech for answers, I had to remind him to replace screws before he left & was told that I needed a new compressor for my 2 year old refrigerator & the price would be $800. I called another appliance repair service who are also Maytag authorized & their service call is $59.00, & to replace the same compressor if necessary will be $427

They're honest. If I don't need something, they don't give it to me. I thought I needed a new element but I didn't. I just needed the timer to be adjusted. They're not really expensive. I always call them.

On 4/7/14 called Jeffries for repair on my new convection oven. On 4/8/14 Pat came out and found problem, he also noticed another potential problem so he called the manufacturer. He ordered new control board and also new heating unit. On 4/15/14 he came back and put in the new parts. Pat was very knowledgeable and professional. I will not hesitate to call Jefferies if needed in the future. He came immediately, placed the order for the parts needed and had new parts in replaced within a week. While at the house we were talking about my front load washer and he gave me some expert tips on house to keep it like new. Jeffries is very lucky to have Pat as one of their technicians.

    FRED'S APPLIANCE
The sales staff was not very attentive; we waiting almost ten minutes before anyone approached us. I had done a great deal of research before going in, and in some regards I knew more than the sales person helping me. And he was trying to sell me a different machine than I wanted. A different sales person was more helpful, but I still felt like a walking dollar sign. We've never had a problem with the washer, and they did a good job installing it. But I won't buy any more appliances from Fred's. I'll go to Sears, with their warranties and guarantees.

    Almar Appliance Service
He was right on time and very personable. He went right to work, knew EXACTLY what was wrong, even before he actually got into it. Showed me a wire that is almost completely burned through on the mother board and advised me that I would have to buy a new machine sometime soon, as the fix that he did would only make it last until that wire burned completely through. We had a very helpful discussion about what kind of machines were reliable and what would be a practical price range to stay in. He even had some sound advice about exterior finishes that was REALLY helpful in making my choice. GREAT guy, GREAT, GREAT service, my highest recommendation to Almar Appliance Service!!!
