  • Excellent work, at agreed fair price (checked against others), performed with timely communication and an easy manner that made everything just work out! We remain delighted with the outcome, and appreciate the attention to detail they brought into our home. Recommended without hesitation.

  • I have known Shawn for 30 plus years along with several other general contractors. There never was an issue with whom I would have construct my new custom English Tudor design home designed by local architect Robert Otterson it was just a matter of when. I finally pulled the trigger for this project in August of 2017 after years of permitting challenges finally were resolved and the green light was given. This was a very complex build including 10 inch foundation, 24 foot ceilings, lots of exposed beams, central staircase, arched door ways along with over 400 feet of valleys on a 12/12 roof pitch to complete this Tudor look. Shawn and Select Build nailed it. It was a 6 month project during the worst weather conditions we have ever had. Select Build was hired to form and pour this massive 10 inch foundation and to frame the entire build. I have been a contractor myself in this area for over 40 years and am a very picky person when it comes to construction and have seen it all but in the end Select Builds performance exceeded all of my expectations. Watching Shawn and his crew work from start to finish was nothing less than than a work of art. Even the building inspector made a statement that very few contractors could have performed this work. Every piece of wood was hand cut and Shawn’s experience in the industry lead to even a far better build. Even on complex 4 way miter cuts on beam joists It is impossible to even slip a drivers license between cuts. Shawn and myself also implemented many great new ideas and features during the build and we always got along. If he saw a better way to do things he always had my complete trust which he earned from the start. They showed up every day no matter what conditions were and always got busy with a great attitude. I know Shawn lost some sleep on this on because of all the challenging design features but in the end they nailed it. Dead nuts perfect. The end result was far beyond my expectation. As I would say “Way to go Shawn”😎 These boys can do it all.

  • Utmost respect and professional; it's so refreshing. It's difficult to find a company, hire a pro that arrives with it all: responsible, ethical, professional, fair, and respectful, and Dan and his helper (I'm sorry I've forgotten his name) have it all.

  • Non paid time taken off they failed to show for my appontment, after calling and providing date/time the appointment was set they sent someone out. The person who was there was very nice, however 3 calls and 19 days later no bid, I was told they would call me when sent though they indicated the bid was ready. After an owner/family member reached to their office manager 20 days later I got a few sentence reply stating 20k + tax not including plumbing or electrical. No descritpion of work, no division of labor, etc. very unprofessional.

  • Very pleased.   Workmanship was superb, they arrived punctually every day and the price was right.   They also did a few extra items not included in the original proposal (installation of pop-up drains).

  • Rob was great! of the three Angie's list contractors we contacted he was the first to respond. He came out the following day and gave us a bid for our project and went over in detail what he planned to do. When it actually came time to do the work Rob found a considerable amount of rot and he was more than fair in dealing with this unkown on a Time and Materials basis and I was thankful to be dealing with such a straight up guy at that point and didn't feel like I was being taken for a ride. The job was completed when he said it would be and upon leaving he cleaned up to the point where I coukdnt even tell he was there - I can't say that about our last contractor. The work itself was great ! Excellent all around experience.

  • We left a message with Conard Construction that we were in need of some exterior work done to our historic home.  Hours later we received a call back from Gary, followed by a visit that evening to look at the project that we were working with.  We had several areas of dry rot that needed to be fixed and our old windows were in need of restoration.  Our bid came in the next day via email and happy with our interactions with Gary and the bid received we signed a contract and soon after Gary and crew were able to get started on the work.  They did a fantastic job on our house and we are pleased with the work performed.  They did all of the work that was asked of in a very timely manner and gave advise on other projects that we are working on as well as ideas for future house repairs.  Knowing that we had a new roof recently put on, he found something that wasn't up to his standards and offered to fix it for us, and did so, without charging us.  All in all, we are very pleased with Gary & Conard Construction and would highly recommend them!  In fact, we decided to have some more work in the coming weeks done by them and look forward to working with them again.

  • We understood that the company was busy, so we ended up borrowing a couple of their framers. The framers ended up re-doing multiple areas, walls and beams were not squared up, stairways were not to code and had to be redone.
Phone calls and messages were often ignored. Disappointing and frustrating. After the project was already double the estimate in both price and time we ended the and quot;contractand quot;.

  • This was a big deal offered by Jefco for a full day of a two man crew for $450. I was initially hesitant to purchase such a deal where the exact services are not specified in the deal.  I purchased the coupon on somewhat of a whim, as I had a lot of demolition work to do in a short amount of time to meet a delivery deadline on a remodel project of the entire downstairs.  I purchased the coupon hoping to be able to get a crew on very short notice, but I knew the likelihood of getting a crew on such short notice was very small.  That indeed was the case and I then tried to identify which job (of the many jobs I needed to be done) to have the Jefco crew perform in the single day.  I proposed several potential jobs to Victor via e-mail and asked him which he thought would best fit his team in terms of efficiency to get the most out of the day.  I've have experience with quite a bit of contractors in the remodeling space and, just like in most professions, the efficiency (and quality) of any given team can vary dramatically.  Victor recommended the molding work over several other options.  Having remodeled the upstairs of the same house last year and having essentially the same amount and type of molding installed, I knew it was possible to have a 2-man crew finish the installation in an 8-hour period. However, I was preparing myself for the possibility that Victor's crew was not as fast as the crew I had last year and it not getting completed in the 8-hour period.  Therefore when his crew arrived (his partner Bernardo and head carpenter Pete), I asked them to install in a priority order to get the most difficult trim (crown) installed first. However, the priority list was never needed. Bernardo and Pete installed all of the trim I needed installed in the day and the quality was excellent. Overall, they were responsive, professional, on-time, efficient and did excellent work.  Additionally they left no mess anywhere at the jobsite, even though I told them not to worry about clean-up as I had many activities and other messes at the jobsite.  I was worried that the big deal coupon was just a way to hook a customer into additional work. However, they did the agreed upon task with excellent efficiency and quality with zero sales pressure.  They have won my future business the right way, by doing excellent work at a great price.  I already have a working list of items that I'm likely to hire Jefco for during this remodel and will definately plan on using them on others in the future as well.

  • We had Travis come to our home to give us an estimate on how much it would cost to extend the kitchen and dining room.  He spent some time examining the structure and then he gave us a ball park estimate which turned out to be much more than we thought

the project was worth so we decided not to do it.  It was a pleasure dealing with Travis and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a contractor.
