Animal Removal reviews in Snohomish

Everything went quick and smooth.  I was called in advance of their arrival and they were on time for both appointments. Within minutes of arriving Kyle K and his coworker began examining the outside and identified potential spots for entry before they even checked out the inside. While one of them immediately began sealing the outside the other checked out the inside.  They were thorough and kept me informed as they went.  They gave suggestions to help prevent additional pests from getting into the garage.  Kyle set up a follow up visit on the spot and a week later arrived right on time and cleaned the traps.  I don't expect to encounter anymore issues thanks to them. Professional, excellent service and would definitely recommend them to anyone.

I've worked with Eastside before, which is why I called them again this time. While I have no idea if their pricing is in line with other providers, I know that they're going to show up on time and do the work they've contracted to do. They spend an awful lot of time explaining the whole process and they appear to be really thorough. The last time I had them do this work, we remained mouse-free for about 4 years, which is all you can really ask.

Here is the thing about Eastside (and probably every other service like this). They really want to sell you their ongoing trap service. I'm sure that's where they make the most money. So far, I have refused. It doesn't make sense to me policing the rodent population outside my house, nor do I feel responsible poisoning rodents who may be eaten by owls or other predators. However, they are very clear that they do not guarantee their work past the first few months if you don't buy the service. Really, that's fine with me. Like I said, last time they did exclusion work, I didn't have more mouse problems for about 4 years. In that time, I would've spent at least 3 times as much on their service as I spent on the exclusion work this time around. I'd rather do exclusion work every 4-5 years than pay monthly fees. Furthermore, I don't have an expectation that my life will ever be entirely rodent-free. This is the price I pay for having some acreage.

I really like that the techs take pictures of the places that are an issue so after they are done with their inspection you can really "see" the problem instead of just trusting that they are finding and fixing things. They are very conscientious about this. When they return to pick up traps after the exclusion work, the new tech that picks up traps also double checks the initial work.

I also used Eastside to do our crawlspace insulation replacement this time. They had recommended it last time, but I held out, and figured that this was a good time to do it. They were on time, fast, and very conscientious about that service as well.

One more thing: they wouldn't take two Angie's list coupons. Even if I paid $99 twice, they only would accept the coupon for one service, not two. That said, after I complained about this, they did agree to give me a small discount on the crawlspace service, which was very much appreciated. They are customer service oriented, for sure.

Bottom line: they are a responsible company who are responsive, punctual, and a pleasure to work with. Just don't allow yourself to be overly alarmed by the presence of rodentia in the world, and you'll be less alarmed by what they find in your house :-).

Technician showed up with very unprofessional and poor attitude.  Did minimal work, showed zero enthusiasm, complained that crawling under my house got his gloves and pants wet. He found one small hornets nest and wanted to call it quits.  We insisted there were other nests under the house in different areas so he reluctantly went back under the house for less than a minute and came out claiming there were no other nests. Very disappointed with service.

"While the inspection was beneficial in terms of identifying possible gaps to fill in house where rodents could enter, what was real disappointing was the report turned into a carefully detailed estimate to completely reinsulate the underside of house... "bringing $25,000-$30,000 of extra value to house which is beneficial at time of sale."  Pretty much direct quote.
I expected that a reference on Angies list would eliminate vendors using these kind of tactics.  It is interesting that "EastSide Exterminators" showed up in an "Eastside Insulation" vehicle.

Summary:  we haven't had mice in the house since May 2014.
We have had interactions with several of their staff.  To a person all are extremely professional and easy to work with.  They go about their work quickly and efficiently.  They keep your home clean and neat as they work.  They have never tried to oversell.  While expensive (my sole B grade), they definitely solved the problem and we're thankful.

Salesman was very nice and took great interest in the project, marked exactly where the screening would go and priced out special requests of mine.  We agreed plastic would be able to go 8 inches up the walls (I would come back to adhere it), the trim boards I had stored under the house would be set aside, there would be 9 bays screened.  However, the workers just did something else!  No plastic to go up the walls, trim boards are gone, 2 or 3 bays are screened.  In two bays, they put concrete on the bottom plate and along the stud.  I never would have agreed to concrete on the wood!  I guess the work is done per pest control standard but not what I wanted and not what I agreed to pay for.

They inspected - found no evidence of any rodents ever, but did find that builder of this 2 year old home had left holes in foundation concrete around sewer and storm pipes that could allow rodents in at some future date.  They came back within 2 days and filled the holes with rock and concrete.  Excellent, professional, great cleanup.

It went very good. The first time they came back and reset the traps, there was no mole activity at all but they indicated that they had caught another mole. I didn't see how there could have still been moles when there was no apparent mole activity and I told them I was going to write a negative review. The owners came out to my house to show me that a mole had been caught.
And when the mole activity started up again, I called, the owner called me right back, explaining that I was still under warrenty. They came out two more times and caught 3 more moles.
I am very happy with their work and highly recommend them

Wayne answered my initial call and subsequent calls in a timely manner.  He came out and assessed our mole problem and has been out twice to eradicate and lay down barriers in an attempt to clear our half acre property of moles.  It is an ongoing process so it is perfect that his fee pays for a 6 month service period.  He seems knowledgeable and is professional and so far I have been very pleased with his service.  I will definitely continue to do business with him and would recommend him without reservation to others who have moles that need to be removed.

As of July, I am now having a difficult time getting Wayne to call me back though I've left him voice messages that there is mole activity in the yard which needs attention.

Very polite and professional.  On or ahead of time, and nice to work with.  I've used exterminators before and it's usually kind of scary to have them around. Not these guys.  Price was exactly as quoted + tax.
Be prepared to have your small pet animals contained away from the treatment areas for most of the day.  I simply stuck the cat in the garden shed with a litter box and food and water for the day - he wasn't happy, but it worked fine.  Some of the chemicals are toxic until they dry and a rat trap can break a small cat or dog's foot.  Remember, you're asking them to kill and poison things - you want your own small animals out of the way of that.
