    ceiling rods were installed wrong, i had to call and have him come back two or three times to fix and one time he was very angry at me, the rod is still wrong and the drapes do not slide smoothly, there is a gap so the drapes get stuck at this gap everytime and i don't want him to come back but the job was and still is a mess. The sun blinds were measured wrong and do not cover the whole window so there is always sunlight piercing through. It's a mess. i want the job fixed but i don't want to call him.... never never never use this company....

    3 Day Blinds Seattle
    The rep for 3 Day Blinds Seattle called me on the day of my appointment to ask me to allow her to come early. I said that wasn't possible due to my work schedule and she said fine. She then called me back an hour later to tell me that she thought she was coming down with something and didnt want to get me sick. It was a very odd interaction and I told her that I really wasn't concerned about germs. I had re-arranged my schedule to leave work to set up this appointment so didn't want to try and re-schedule again. The whole thing felt like an attempt to get out of meeting. Despite this rocky start, the sales rep arrived at my house at our originally scheduled time and spent time taking measurements. At the end of our appointment she said she would follow up later that day with an email estimate. I waited that 3 business days and never heard back from her. I called her and left a voicemail on her cell phone and still have not heard back from her. It's now going on 2 weeks. I have left multiple voicemails, sent multiple emails and contacted the 3 Day Blinds main customer service number. I still have yet to even receive an acknowledgement that someone is working on my estimate. Clearly, this company is not too eager to try and win my business. The job we were requesting was not insignificant (over 10 west facing windows) so I'm very surprised that no one has bothered to follow up. I DO NOT recommend reaching out to this company if you would like to receive a timely estimate (or any estimate at all for that matter). It's disappointing that they care so little about their customers. I took time away from work to be at the appointment time that they had scheduled.

She asked all the right questions, measured everything twice, and gave great spot-on advice and options that met my needs. Installation was superb, and I am thrilled with the result.     She was GREAT!  The curtain required her to take down both rods (curtails and sheers) and replaster the area, then rehang.  I asked her to look at the sliding shower door while she was there and she happily fixed the door as well - which barely opened/closed.  Not only that she explained to me how to do it myself if it comes off the slider again.

    I should have written this review months ago. I am surprised to see the other reviews' ratings because my experience with them has been good. I was referred to Designs by Mara by Northwest Window Coverings who, after wasting a great deal of my time, told me I would "not be happy" with what they (NW Window Coverings) could provide.
    For the master bedroom, I told Hope Russell I wanted a window covering that was very feminine and also old-fashioned-looking. Hope did an absolutely beautiful job in designing and choosing the fabric for the drapes and valance. I wanted a Roman shade in the dining room and she chose a beautiful fabric to match the decor. I also wanted a Roman shade for the second bedroom used as an office, and I happened upon a fabric I really liked while at their showroom. The selection of fabrics is overwhelming there is so much to choose from! While at the showroom, I chose the living room blinds and the fabric covering for them. Hope had been to my home to measure and all the window coverings fit perfectly. The look is gorgeous for all of them. I wanted the bed covering/pillow shams to also be feminine and old-fashioned-looking, and Hope did a fantastic job in designing those also. I have been very happy.
    Communication with Hope and Mara and their customer service has been very good. During the long process of measuring, choosing, manufacturing, and installation (professional installation by Frank Larson) and afterward, I ran into three difficulties and all were handled very well by Hope and Mara. (1) The first thing that happened was that on installation day, it turned out that the living room blinds I had ordered were not what was delivered to their showroom so those had to be installed later. Since I had paid $300 for installation on all window coverings, Mara told me I would not have to pay a second installation fee when the correct living room blinds arrived. (2) The second thing was that shortly after installation, the chain broke on the Roman shade in the dining room. It was easy to arrange a date for Frank to stop by and fix the chain, at no charge. (3) The third thing was the bed covering. I had specifically wanted a covering that was very feminine and old-fashioned, but also very thin so that I could fit it in my washing machine and wash it a lot due to allergies--I did not want to take it to a commercial washer or a dry cleaner. The bed covering I received, while just beautiful, did not fit in my washing machine. I was heartsick due to the amount of money spent. I contacted Hope about this, and they were great about it. They remade the same bed covering at no extra cost, but made it a LOT thinner so it now fits in my washing machine; and they told me to keep the original bed covering,. That was great customer service! I was also told by Mara there is a 5 year warranty on everything.
    So, what I'm saying here is that the products are beautiful, the customer service was great, and the communication was just fine.

    Brenda and crew were fantastic to work with and helpful with choosing fabric, offering ideas, and thoughtful as to what would work in our home.  Brenda was very knowledgeable and worked to provide quality customer service and products.  When the shades were being installed she noticed a mark on one of the shades and had it replaced.  Had she not said anything, I doubt I would have ever noticed the mark.  I was impressed.  Our shades make me very happy!

    Tony did the installation and he worked quickly, efficiently and with care.  I recommend this business and plan to use them again to have cushions made for a window seat.
