Physical Therapy reviews in Renton

  • In the past I have had need of physical therapy and have used other providers.  The experience with Natalie Solarek DPT at Peak has been nothing less that stellar.  She is kind and considerate and exhibits exceptional professionalism. She greets her patients with a smile and works hard to restore function without pain.   I cannot recommend Peak Sports and Spine and especially Natalie Solarek DPT enough.

  • I had a cerebral hemorrhage many years ago, and suffered a brain injury that prevents me from moving properly. I had gotten better, but as I have aged, some things become harder for me to do again. Almost all of the physical therapy I had before concentrated on strength. The first person I talked with at Valley told me I was in the wrong place. They said I needed to work with the brain injury as well as the strength. The additional therapy has been very helpful. Valley's physical therapy is fairly well booked, but I usually can get in within a day or two.

  • She is so good. She is a lovely person and I really look forward to seeing her. She is a graduate of the Mayo Clinic PT program and has over 20 years of professional experience. She uses a gentle, hands on approach to release tissue tension at various layers throughout the body.

  • The PT in charge of my daughter's treatment explained to me that the torn meniscus can respond to PT treatment in some cases, and that she recommends seeing my daughter twice per week (no insurance!!). She gave us the kit for treating the torn meniscus: some exercises and a rubber band.On the third visit (no insurance!!), they told us that they don't think they can help her anymore, and that they recommend seeing an Orthopedic surgeon to further the treatment, and possibly an MRI (no insurance!!)We did go to an orthopedic surgeon. Here is what happened:The Physician Assistant (PA) felt around my daughter's knee joint, and surrounding muscles, and told us (within 5 minutes of basic exam, before the surgeon being involved) that he doesn't see any symptoms of a tear. He diagnosed it as "Runner's Knee", a very common knee condition that requires certain exercises to improve. The surgeon next examined her knee, and arrived at the same conclusion. To be on the safe side (and knowing that we didn't have insurance) he didn't think the MRI would add any value (saving us at least $1500 out of pocket), but ordered some X-Rays instead. The X-Rays confirmed what they both thought, that the condition is Runner's Knee. They also added that ANY EXPERIENCED PHYSICAL THERAPIST SHOULD HAVE DETECTED THE CONDITION EASILY ... as it is a VERY COMMON ATHLETIC CONDITION.We felt totally ripped off by the inexperienced PT at Apple. We contacted the manager feeling that part of the amount they billed us should be waived, because those were incurred due to their incompetency. Of course, they didn't think they should compromise on the money, and surprisingly, the manager said she would have probably arrived at the same conclusions as her PT!! This report should come as no surprise to Apple, since we mentioned to them that we will share our experience with other Angie's list readers. We will also share our experience with our primary physicians. All we seek is that Apple commit to better educated PTs, and more sensitivity to their patients financial conditions. Not patient wears a big $$ sign!

  • I went to Orit, who is very thorough especially with explanations and teaching. She is also very pleasant and encouraging. She is a very well experienced physical therapist. She is a also a teacher of physical therapy. As far as price, they except Medicare- 100%, and other insurances, with a doctors prescription.
  • The doctors and staff at Apple are awesome. They are really squared away. The office staff is nice and the office itself is nice. They have all of the equipment that they should have. I have a lot of experience with physical therapists and they are good. Their staff knows what they are doing and their facilities are top quality. Their availability is really good. They are very accommodating and punctual. Everything about that practice is great.

  • Many years back, I used a different physical therapy clinic as it was close to my health club for tennis elbow healing. Anyhow, I called there and that one would not take our insurance. I then called Apple Physical Therapy, not knowing that it is the largest physical therapy business in the State of Washington. The Newcastle practice is just 15-18 minutes from my house. I waited two years three months to go there as I thought that my pain would go away. It did not. The therapy has helped but I still have some pain in my upper left hamstring. That pain is felt mostly by sitting. I now sit on a pillow.

  • I think they are really good. I was really impressed with what they did. I went there about three times. The person I worked with was very professional. She gave me a lot of information. They were good at letting me know when my appointments were. It was a very busy office.

  • He was great. He is very knowledgeable. I never felt pushed too far. He really knew how to keep the pain in check throughout my experience.
