    Rain Shadow Handyman
We are very pleased with the work done. Work teams were timely, efficient, made efforts to communicate status and next steps; if there were delays, they explained why. David Murphy and this team used creative problem solving, asked questions and help determine the best course of action. They also tracked time carefully, and when there might be a few minutes left on a basic service call, would return to do additional work at no charge. Invoices included detailed time accounting. Plus, they are all just nice people .... good to talk to. We have really appreciated their services and will likely use them again, soon!

    Rain Shadow Handyman
David (owner) and his helper Bryan did a great job replacing the wavy plexiglass roof panels on my small enclosed porch. Several of the old panels had holes and cracks from wind and old age, so I decided to have them all replaced. David and Bryan did the job quickly and efficiently and at a very reasonable cost. And most importantly, the job was done right. David and Bryan were both very friendly and easy to work with. I will not hesitate to call on David again should I need his services.

    MR EVERYTHING HOME IMPROVEMENT
I did not have the work done by this person. He was unbelievably rude and unprofessional. If he behaved in this manner before any work was done I can only imagine trying to deal with him if I were unsatisfied with the job. I can not imagine how he stays in business at all! When I initially called he did not identify himself. I just heard a conversation as if he were talking to someone in the background and he never identified himself as "Mr. Everything Home Improvement." When I asked if that was who he was he said, "Yes." I said well it did not sound like a place of business when you answered the phone and he replied that he thought I was a telephone solicitations call. I have no idea why he would think this as I was calling from my residence. When I tried to explain the work I wanted done, he kept interrupting me and rushing me as if I were wasting his time. I speak quickly and get right to the point. I don't ramble when speaking to people so there was no justification for his rudeness. He had an extremely cocky attitude. After that I called "Joseph's Home Improvement" at 360-477-3243. Joseph McDonald was polite and professional. He came out the same day and I hired him to do the job! I advise you to skip on "Mr. Everything Home Improvement!"

Note:  The ratings above are for the company and owner, Greg Bondy.  The person who actually did the work was extremely prompt and very pleasant to work with.  That said, onto my review.
Greg did not show up on Monday when he said he would.  Come Thursday I told him not to bother.  Friday he showed up.  With torrential rains and a leaky skylight, I had to get the work done so gave him the go ahead.  He said he would order the skylight and let me know the minute he had it.  Waited to hear from him, finally 10 days later I emailed to ask if it was in (surely it must be by now), and it was.  He scheduled a morning to do the work.
Morning of the work someone other than Greg showed up.  I don't know this person, if he's licensed/bonded, actually works for Greg? But needed the new skylight installed so trusted him and went ahead with the job. He was the only positive aspect of the entire job.
I was given a quote by Greg the day he came out.  Never having this type of work done and judging by the cost, I assumed the work would take several hours.  I was quoted $300 for skylight & labor, and $150 to blow the roof and gutters off.  The entire job took 40 minutes.  10 for the skylight and 30 for the roof/gutters.  I said to Greg, at that rate you're charging $300/hr to blow off a roof and gutters.  He said the work couldn't be done right because of the rain (then why was it done at all?) and removed the $150 from my bill, which was fair and the only reason I gave a "D" rating for "overall" and "price".
Finally...when I trust someone to pick up materials for me, especially expensive materials, I expect a receipt in return so I know my money was spent correctly.  When the worker left I asked for the skylight receipt, he said I would have to get it from Greg. When I asked Greg for the receipt, his response was that my invoice was proof of payment.  Yes it is, but it doesn't show where the skylight was purchased and how much I paid for it.  I asked again and he still refused to provide a receipt. Finally I said to him, then tell me where you got it and I'll find out for myself.  He gave me the website of a company on the other side of the pond (surely we could have given the business to someone local??)  I called, only to find out Greg is a "retailer" for this company. The lady I spoke with said there was no reason he couldn't give me a breakdown of cost.  I asked if she could look up the sales record and tell me how much I paid for the skylight and she said no, because "it depends on how much Greg added for markup."  I'm sorry, what??  I'm not only paying for the skylight itself, but for Greg's commission on it?  No wonder he didn't want to provide a receipt.  One more email to Greg asking for proof of purchase and cost.  4 days later, no response.  Nice way to do business.  I paid the invoice, learned a big lesson (if they're not reliable from the beginning, trust your instinct and cross them off the list), and will NEVER use or refer anyone to this company again.

    Kandu Enterprise
It started with the first call requesting a loose post be replaced and getting a 'yes, we can do that' response.  While a small project, I was made to feel that it was just as important as a large project.  Greg followed up with a visit to assess the work and helped me realize that with a post replacement today, there would be follow up repairs needed due to the degrading fence that existed.
Upon his recommendation, he provided references so that I could see his work and fully understand what work was needed and what the end result would be.  I was very impressed and pleased at such a good recommendation, both by Greg and by the customer who I was able to talk with.
While out of town, Greg and his team pulled up the old fence and I came back to a beautiful, high quality, well constructed fence and gates.  I'm pleased beyond expectations and highly recommend Greg and Kandu.

    John E Floyd
John is very professional and yet fun to be around. He knows more about plumbing than some plumbers I have used. Prior to closing the sale of our unit, he inspected our old hot water heater, showed me the buyer said it was on its last breath and should be replaced. He got us a great deal and hauled it down to the basement, installed it and took the old one away - all in the same day I called him. Great service!

    Rigo's Remodling
He was very nice on the phone although there was a bit of a language barrier. I told him that all I wanted was a price quote and gave my address. I had asked him to talk to my tenant which he did do. I arrived home on Monday the 6th of October at 10:30 in the morning and he was already in my garage having started the work. We had never scheduled anything yet and I immediately asked him to stop and demanded to know what was going on. I had my husband with me at the time and the service provider seemed to play dumb. He was acting as if he didn't know what my initial instructions for him were. He explained that the tenant said that he could start the work which I assure you never happened. We gave him $50 for the work that was already done as my husband had inspected it and decided it was good work however he was argumentative when speaking with me. In the end he was apologetic and offered to install the new access ladder for free but we felt like doing it ourselves at that point. He completely flat out acted on the information that I gave him about calling the tenant but I never authorized him to do any work yet at my home. I had asked him to call. I will say the work done was good but we had never scheduled the service.

    RS Schmidt Enterprises Inc
Calls are returned promptly, crew shows up on time and with all the necessary equipment. We have been using R.S. Enterprises for over 10 years and have always been very pleased with their work.  (We have very tall windows and doing the outside requires a huge extension ladder.) The windows sparkle when they're all done. Oh, and the windows are cleaned in a timely manner, too. They have also cleaned our gutters at the same time and again, we were quite happy with them.

    Ever Warm Hearth and Home
We purchased a custom frameless glass shower door and bathroom mirror and installation services from Everwarm. This is a professional and reliable company to do business with, and they supply top quality workmanship. Everwarm is best known as a wood- and gas-stove supplier and we have purchased both a large wood stove and a small gas stove and installation services from Everwarm with exceptional results. It is less well known that they also provide other home services including shower doors and installation, which they perform with equally quality results. They show up when scheduled, are true to their cost estimates, have top quality workmanship, and provide individualized customer service. Not a price bargain but definitely provide value and quality for the dollar.
