ATall Pines ConstructionI have worked with Tall Pines Construction for years on numerous projects. There hasn't been a job they can't handle and always leave the jobsite tidy. They have Tall Pines Cleaning come in at the end of the job to do a final clean. The craftsmanship is impressive, they take time to make sure everything finishes perfectly. When challenged with something out of the norm they tackle it with confidence, skill and precision. I highly recommend Tall Pines Construction and Tall Pines Cleaning.- Melissa D.

ASignature Restoration LLCAndrew and his team did a kitchen renovation after water damage. Great, clear communication at every step of the way. A contractor friend looked over their work for us and was impressed with the attention to detail. Andrew was persistent with the insurance company and provided tons of documentation of damaged materials. We added on some upgrades and additional projects - these had competitive prices and clear billing.- Katy C.

ASignature Restoration LLCMy house was damaged by a water leak in the master bathroom. The bathroom floor was soaked from under the shower and the leak got to the downstairs family room. After getting my phone call, Andrea responded very quickly and patiently answered all my questions and concerns. The shower, the floor, and the ceiling must be opened, dried, and the mold treated for mitigation. Andrea and his team did a great job in that. For the restoration, Andrea and his team had to replace two sinks with new countertops, redo one toilet, redo the shower with new dry wall, cement board, tiles, and the bathroom floor. For the family room, they had to repaint the ceiling and the result is great. I have no complaints. Everyone in his team is professional and I will not hesitate to hire them for another project.- Hongyan L.

AVanderlip Construction Kitchen and BathWhen we viewed the damage to our kitchen floor, walls, and cabinets from leaky pipes under the sink, our hearts sank. How could we handle such a large project? Because we are in our late 80’s, we called our sons about the matter and one of them said he’d call Angie’s List because he had gotten good help from you folks himself. The name Eric Vanderlip showed up on the screen as a highly rated contractor and he lived close to us. A quick call brought him out the following day. He told us because of COVID, getting materials and workers to do the work would be difficult, but that he was willing to take on the job. So began the restoration of our kitchen. We noticed Eric going out of his way at every turn to make it as easy as possible for us. Often he brought samples for us to check out, so we wouldn’t need to shop and perhaps expose ourselves to the COVID virus. How good it is to see our kitchen back in place, looking even better than before. We recommend Eric Vanderlip highly to our friends and family. In fact, we have Eric returning this summer for another job. Thank you, Angie’s List for providing good workers for a much needed service.- Eleanor B.

AKing's RenovationsAfter looking around at reviews, I found King’s Renovations were reviewed highly, and it is well deserved. Salvador was really courteous, great communicator, reasonable and he and his crew worked hard. ALopez Bros ConstructionWe found that the wall in our laundry closet was soft and damp. After opening the wall a bit we found massive water damage. Ray with Lopez Bros Construction responded quickly to our request for quote, came out and assessed the damage, and gave us an idea of what it would cost. He then pointed out the demo work that was needed and offered to allow us to do what we could of the work to save us money. Once the demo work we could do ourselves was done, Ray and his crew came out to complete it and then identify where the leak was. This had clearly been going on for some time as the entire floor and subfloor was completely rotten. Ray coordinated the plumber to fix the leak, remove the water heater that was in the garage on the other side of the laundry wall as it was pressing through the other side. After allowing several days for everything to dry out, Ray and his crew then began building back the floor and the walls. Work was completed within a week. Everyone was professional and careful to keep the mess to a very minimum. Ray communicated everything he found, his plan to fix, and showing progress throughout the project. He always let us decide how far to go (removing the water heater and repairing the other side of the wall was our decision) and never pressed to do any more than what we were comfortable with. The project was much bigger than expected, but the price of the work wasn't much more than what was originally discussed. SUPER happy with Lopez Bros work!- Allan H.

AFLOOD MDA great overall outfit. Working with them was easy because of quick and concise communication. Additionally, they were willing to be patient with me while working on this job dealing with an insurance claim (for water damage) that took longer than necessary to resolve. The carpet and laminate they installed looks great. An all around solid service, I would hire them again. David's overall helpfulness and professionalism was a great benefit to getting issues dealt with as they came up and he was available to answer any questions I had along the way.- Wes S.

AAbsolute Rot RepairAbsolute Rot Repair did an amazing job on our garage rehabilitation and deck install! We recently purchased a home, knowing from the inspection that there was significant water damage in the attached garage & the deck atop of it. Oleg provided us with an initial quote and did a great job of laying out what to expect based on the severity of rot & water infiltration that his team might find in the garage. Arthur and his team did an amazing job on the repair & rebuild of the garage as well as the deck installation project. They were extremely professional, kept us well informed of their findings & plan of action and consulted us on any design details to ensure we were all on the same page. The extremely high level of quality done by the team is a tribute to their expertise & dedication to their clients. And everyone on the team was extremely personable & genuine to interact with on a daily basis. The rebuild of our previously-rotted garage (inside & outside) and installation of a brand new synthetic deck on top took the team less than 4 weeks to complete! And the expert craftsmanship is apparent in every detail; our house is in much better condition than we could have ever hoped for. I would recommend Arthur, Oleg & the rest of the Absolute Rot Repair team to anyone in need of repair or upgrade work on their home.- Christopher J.

FOur water heater leaked in April 2017 and we called All New Again to take care of the damage. We paid All New Again for the water mitigation and reconstruction. The water mitigation was over $17k and the reconstruction was over $13k. It was a long expensive process and the insurance company contested the ANA invoice. It was a long stressful battle to get the insurance company to pay. We thought we were addressing the damage to our home in the most thorough way and we relied on ANA's expertise to guide us through getting our home to look "new again". Recently, mold was discovered in the crawl space where they worked (along with out of place insulation, Gatorade bottle, a 2x6 piece of wood laying on the ground). But the worst part of all of this has been their combative communication with us since. The CEO told me over email that I was in "desperation mode" and threatened to sue me for my Yelp review.

FBe aware of a joint scam between Beacon Plumbing and 24/7 Flood & Fire! I called Beacon Plumbing because my second floor toilet had a slow leak which caused some secondary damage to the drywall and flooring. Beacon Plumbing charged me $2100 to replace the toilet and the plumber (Troy) personally called 24/7 Floor and Fire on his personal mobile phone to “help me out” with drying the house. By the way, he mounted the toilet knowingly 24/7 Flood and Fire could not work on drying the bathroom with the toilet mounted (he just wanted to get the $2100). On the phone 24/7 Flood & Fire told me they work directly with home insurance, but their personnel (named Zach) came over, he quickly dismissed that claim (which turns out is a lie) and charged me $3000 for the work. If the situation couldn’t get any worse, 24/7 Flood and Fire needed to dismount the toilet in order to work, which they placed in the bathtub, the heavy toilet ended up breaking the bathtub as a consequence. Of course they did not tell me anything until a week later a contractor came in to fix the drywall and said “Have you noticed whoever placed the toilet in the bathtub, broke the bathtub?”. At this point I wasn’t sure if 24/7 Flood and Fire broke the bathtub or Beacon Plumbing, since I couldn’t recall if they called Beacon Plumbing to move the toilet to the bathtub, or they did it themselves. I called Beacon Plumbing who sent out Troy for the second time, he denied having anything to do with placing the toilet in the bathtub, charged me $80 for the visit and asked if I wanted the toilet removed from the bathtub and installed for an additional $700 (I already paid $2100 for this service the week before). Additionally Troy offered to leave a quote for the replacement of the bathtub, which I asked for, but never received. Finally I received a call from 24/7 Flood & Fire admitting they were the ones who broke the tub. I spoke with a guy name Sean at 24/7 Flood & Fire who said he will do whatever it takes to make us happy and fix their mistake. I told him what I thought was fair is to have our bathroom in the state it was in prior to their personnel coming in, which includes removal and disposal of broken bathtub and install of an equivalent model. A few days later Sean calls me and tells me he opened a claim with their insurance and quoted a bathtub from Bath fitters for $2200 ($1500 bathtub + $500-$700 labor). When I asked to see the quote, he denied having a documented quote and said it was just a verbal conversation. He told me we had two choices to have them take care of it (facilitate the work and cost) or write us a check for $2200, he repeatedly advise me to think about it because all he wanted to do is make us happy. I asked him to facilitate the work and cover the cost. At this point he told me that was not an option, and the quote was for a bathtub liner and not an actual bathtub replacement. Obviously this is all a scam. The worst part about this is that when people call Beacon Plumbing or 24/7 Flood & Fire, they are in distress because it’s typically an emergency. This company takes advantage of their customers when they are most venerable and takes full advantage of the situation. Extremely unethical way to run your business.

And we now have a completely gutted to the sub floor.

ARick and Candice were a pleasure to work with, they were professional, prompt, and did a fantastic job. My floors were in pretty rough shape and my tile flooring installer said it was a little beyond his capabilities. He referred me to Sterling and said they were the best around the Kitsap Washington area. I called them and received a quote which I thought was very reasonable for the work that needed to be done. Rick performed wood patching and matching to my existing floors. He then took everything down to bare wood, refinished and varnished the entire floor. The end result was amazing and I was very happy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing hardwood flooring services.

ADavid came over promptly and on time to bid on the bathroom job. Everything was discussed with me prior to work performed and explained on his contract. We did run into a few obsticales along the way with unforeseen and unexpected building issues, but David, with his experience, suggested other options to rectify the issues which worked out great and in the end, the bathroom turned out as planned. I have worked with other contractors who are there just to get the job done and move on, but it was clear to me David is methodical in his planning on any given task and freely gives his opinion on suggesting the best way of getting a task done so there is little chance for future issues. Finding a contractor to stand behind their work is difficult, but it was proven to me that David is one that is punctual, does the job right and guarantees his work. We look forward to using him again on future projects.
