  • This is a home businesss that is only open to talk on Mondays and the rest of the time the owner is working on your lawn mower. My Husband is retired so that works greatfor him. Good work at a decent price

  • I was very happy with the price, the pick up and the drop off.  The work done was, as far as I can tell, done right.  The only fly in the ointment is that they did not replace the spring that releases pressure on the self propel handle - it's broken and an obvious break at that.  With the spring broken the self propel wants to go all the time, not just when I need it.  In addition, although I asked them to tighten up the cables that operate the self propel feature, it appears that they were not adjusted.  Not real big deals, but a disappointment nonetheless.

  • I turned in the mower on a Thursday afternoon and I got a call from Jeff on Saturday morning telling me it was all done and ready for pick-up.  I couldn't pick it up until the following Tuesday and was surprised at how clean the mower was.  I turned it in with all the dried on buildup from last summer and didn't expect it to be so clean.  As soon as I got home I mowed my front and back lawns and found the mower was absolutely great.  It is ready for another season and the choice to use Done Right in Olympia was a wise decision.

  • It was a good repair and they fixed the problem.  I’ve used them before for lawn equipment and that’s why I went with them.  It was all expensive.  I wasn’t the one actually at home and was out of town.  Evidently they were supposed to call when it was going to be delivered because my partner had to be home when they delivered it.  They didn’t let her know in a timely fashion when they were going to deliver it and she had to call them and find out.  I really don’t know what the issue was but there was an issue with the communication with the delivery.

  • Very responsive.  Expedited the request even though they were swamped.  Explained reason why lawn mover was running really rough.  Clean the outside and underside of mover.  Excellent job!

  • Took lawn mower in because it would start but not stay running. Also asked for a servicing and blade sharpening. I was called when the work was completed and told the fee was $300 more than the actual I paid. I don't know how/why that happened. Sadly the blades were not sharpened and that is why I gave them a B instead of an A. Although I mentioned it to the tech, it was not specifically annotated on my service agreement sheet so look for that as I don't guess it's included in the 'servicing'. Definitely use again though.

  • I dropped off lawn mower on Saturday, 14 Sept 2013 to Reliable Small Engine Repair shop in Tumwater, WA.  Alas, they are also a U-Haul dealer and so the small engine repair shop was closed but they did allow me to drop off the lawn mower and give me a work order #, etc.  On Monday, 16 Sept 2013 I called and they hadn't gotten to the lawn mower yet so I told them I would drive by and have a look with them to see what the problem was and they told me their lawn mower repairman was out to lunch and to come in 1 your later which I planned on doing.
    Within 45 minutes I received a call that the lawn mower was serviced and ready for pickup.  I asked them what the cost was and they stated it was $43.  I asked if this cost involved the installation of a new lawn mower blade, etc. and there was nothing but taking off the one bolt holding the lawn mower blade on to the drive axle of the lawn mower, removing a 1/2" washer that shouldn't have been there which caused the lawn mower blade to be unstable, and reattaching the bolt / blade again to the lawn mower drive axle located on the bottom of the lawnmower (where the blade attaches).
    I told them I was shocked that the price was so steep for what amounted to a 5 minute fix and they stated that they have a sign stating there is a minimum charge of $30 for work on small engines (I never saw this sign displayed so it must be well hidden if it exist at all).  They stated it took them a half and hour of labor to fix this problem (that simply couldn't be true).
    I told them I would pay the fee and that I would drop by to pickup the lawn mower and that next time I would be sure to check before I took them like this for repair on Angies' List and that I would simply write a report of my experience to Angies' List.
    When I got to the shop to pickup my lawn mower about 10 minutes later I paid and the owner was very rude to me and tossed my credit card back at me vs. simply handing it back and walked away.  I explained to him that I wasn't being rude, belligerent or calling him names, etc., rather I explained that I simply thought it was a very minor repair that I was overcharged for.  He asked me if it was so simple, why didn't I do it myself and I explained that I incorrectly thought that the 1/2" washer was suppose to be installed with the blade and that I was mistaken in this (in hindsight).
    The business owner was the rude person I spoke to but his U-Haul associate, Cody, was very kind, helpful and courteous, (Cody's boss could learn a lot from his employee in this regard).
    I will never use this Small Engine Repair business again, hindsight being 20/20.  I simply don't believe for a second that such a small 5 minute repair job, not involving any parts took him 30 minutes that I was charged for.  I also did not appreciate being treated so unprofessionally by the owner when I calmly but firmly stated I thought the price to be unfair for such little work (removing a 1/2" washer and reinstalling a bolt) but I did tell him I would pay the bill with no problems (which I did immediately).

  • When my line trimmer failed to operate properly, I searched Angie's List and BBB for a small engine repair service in my neighborhood, but was unable to to find one. A Google search turned up Jerry at Small Engine Repair & Service. I took the trimmer to him on a Friday and had it back the next Tuesday. Jerry understood that such repairs of aging equipment should be done at minimal cost. He was able to scrounge up a used carburator and had my trimmer working.  I'm very pleased.

  • They are a very busy operation which tells me they are good and have many customers. The owner is knowledgeable. They offer pickup and drop-off service which I will use in the future. They also offered several helpful tips.

  • I have been using them for a couple of years.  They pick up the equipment and return it within a week, in most cases.  They seem to be very knowledgeable.  I had some work done on an old Sears riding mower by a different company, and when it came back the gear system was reversed.  They took it back to the shop and tried to fix it, but returned it in the same condition saying that the tractor was too old to get the part needed to fix it.  

    Done Right diagnosed the problem immediately as incorrect installation of a belt, and fixed it quickly.
